I recently had need of a solicitor. I contacted three major firms. None seemed to be particularly interested. With one of the firms, I telephoned six times, spoke with six different call centre operatives, none of whom replied as promised, before I was able, with a great deal of difficulty after leaving many messages, to speak with paralegal, from whom I ascertained that none of my messages had been relayed correctly. This took three weeks and then I was told they were too busy to advise me.

Medical Solicitors took on a case that had been rejected by two major firms, one being national, on the basis that there was little chance of success and as a consequence it would not be possible to obtain funding via a CFA, (No Win - No Fee) Prior to this an inquest and PHSO investigation had both failed to identify any failings which would have resulted in causation of my wife's death. Medical Solicitors took on the case, obtained the seemingly unobtainable CFA cover, identified not only that numerous errors had been made, a consequence of which was indeed causation of death, established that the original cause of death was incorrect, and then succeeded in obtaining significant compensation for my family. An application was subsequently made to the Attorney General to have the original inquest quashed, which was successful, with the ensuing second inquest ordered by the High Court then establishing the correct cause of death.

The result was achieved within the originally anticipated time scale, with the compensation obtained being in excess of that originally estimated. The attention to detail in preparing the case was unbelievable, the expert witnesses obtained were of a far superior standard to those of the other side, the case was prepared to an unbelievably high standard, far superior to that of the other side, and the personal service I received was fantastic, and that, if anything is an understatement.
