The website seems to completely dusregard the choices made and provided a week's worth of truly revolting and unsustainable meals. Not able to change what was automatically selected and generic responces from Mindful chef. Badly designed website and appalling non-existent customer service.

Have been trying them for a while for the food. While it was convenient and the recipes good in flavour, the communication and mishaps are quite annoying. I have applied for the NHS discount (and it has Never been applied to any of my purchases)!! Some of the food has come squashed and meat leaking!!!... Never replied with an Apology!!! And now, brought a one of purchase of frozen drinks/smoothies (ordered 2 last week) Only today I've open them (I've been working all week) and There are 3!! packets missing (out of %!) :(( I'm sooo unhappy and frustrated that I have taken the time to write a review !

Error in changing our delivery day meant we had managed to order 5 weeks of food, all arriving in the coming 5 days. No emails to confirm we had placed 5 orders, just a debit of £70 out of our account every day and a text everyday from the courier stating our delivery slot.

Contacted them immediately and they said it was too late to cancel and the orders have already been packed. I stated its only Monday and stop the food from leaving, but nothing could be done but a 50% refund and they will give the food to charity.

They never called back, and still took our funds. shocking customer service. (Stephy)

MC pride them selves on being small and personal but this is not the case with massive warehouses and sub standard food all wrapped in plastic.
Our peaches are rotten, our lemons had a thick wax on them and the recipes ask you to grate the lemon. All herbs wrapped in plastic and 3 out of the 5 fishes had to be binned.

By their own admission the boxes got packed on Sunday Night and stay with the courier for 3 days before delivered, as we could not cancel our deliveries that were placed on Sunday and they where down for delivery on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

If you are reading this MC, you really messed up, so much waste to the environment, my time (which is the whole point of doing this) and money.

The mindful chef has been a blessing the last few weeks. We tried some other meal boxes but came back to mindful chef for a few reasons. The quality of the produce is so much better. We know that all the meat is free range for example. We found the mindful chef recipe by far the easiest to follow and the timings actually work! Lastly, the range of recipes is much more inline with how we like to eat, the type of food we enjoy.

My only negative is that 80g of rice for two people is laughable. Even for non active people this is insufficient, but we both exercise so this is just not enough. We ALWAYS have to supplement the carbohydrate. Some of the portions are generally on the light side for people that exercise.

I had been ordering my meals from HelloFresh for at least 6 months before looked into a healthier option, as I love that companies such as Mindful chef take all of the stress out of thinking of new inspiration of what to cook for dinner. I have found Mindful chef 1000x better than any of the others I've tried such as HelloFresh or Gusto. The quality of the ingredients is so much better, I don't eat meat but my partner does and he can't believe the difference. The fish is astounding quality. Moreover, the meals are so much healthier and are made with almost all fresh veggies. I adore it and will never go back. Also, the fact they have given me 30% off each week for being an NHS nurse is wonderful! I really do appreciate it. Thankyou Mindful Chef. You've changed my dinner times for good! :) 5 stars.

As an NHS doctor, I have so appreciated my Mindful Chef deliveries over the past few months (with their NHS offer). It allows me to prepare nutritious and delicious meals quickly after long shifts. Great quality produce too.

I’m an NHS keyworker and Mindful Chef boxes have been an absolute life saver during the pandemic (Thanks for the 30% off!!). We’ve loved every single recipe - there’s loads of meat-free options which is great. It’s so handy to have 3 meals all ready to go for the week without having to worry about supermarket queues. Definitely the best recipe box I’ve tried in terms of meal variety and value for money.

I was impressed with the quality of ingredients, reliable delivery, and flexibility/ease of use of the website.
Also, it was really nice to have close to zero food waste.
