Afer a long and detailed search for different home automation alternatives, I found Homeseer as the most flexible alternative for any homeowner needs: a long list of supported third party hard- and software, including the most popular brands, really simple startup even for a tech-unsavy as myself, lots of tutorials and how-to videos, and very supportive staff before and after the purchase. It's hard to imagine that things could be better

I am still waiting for my 2 orders placed; One placed on the 16th of september and the second one placed on the 20th of september 2011. I would be happy to review my experience after receiving the goods. But I have placed order with homeseer in the past and I have only good things to say about my experience! Was never dissapointed! Only satisfaction for now!

I remember talking to Mark just over 2 years ago when I couldn't even spell HA and I was babbling away about all the things I wanted to do remotely to control my new vacation home many miles away. I have no idea how he managed to suffer through my 'newbie' questions, but I ended the call confident enough to immediately order a HomeTroller and a few ZWave devices to get started. I never needed to call the HS Helpdesk in the first 30 days as I got all the answers I needed quickly from searches and online posted questions in the highly active HomeSeer Forum. Quite frankly I've never looked back and keep adding 4 or 5 new ZWave devices from HS every 3 or 4 months to improve my mesh and increase my control options. I'm still a beginner and I'm sure that I barely use 10% of the power of HomeSeer, but I'm learning every day from the Forum and continue to experiment with new functions whenever I can. This is no longer a hobby for me, it's a way of life!

I bought the HS3 pro software with the intentions of replacing my Stargate HA controller. I have 4 RCS TR16 thermostats. Their plugin will only work with 1. There has been a bugfix reported a long time ago, and no one has worked on it. I have posted to the forum with no help. So far I can turn on some lights. They don't have good digital inputs and outputs. If you are a do it yourself person, you can do an add on of an arduino board, with relays. I have started down that road. It seems like the overall system is ok. But it likes to work with wireless. I prefer wired when possible, because too many things now are hackable. It also seems that I have had a problem when I make a change, It can't see the web interface. Something in the .ini file gets changed, and it doesn't work. So last night I had to unplug my Christmas lights that were on controlled outlets. Just something to fix again. I also have a Caddx 8E system. It loads the zones / partitions from my Caddx system, but 1 of the doors is missing. I can go to the caddx keypad and everything is there. But the Homeseer plugin didn't read it in. So all the doors will show an intrusion except my backdoor.

I have been dealing with HomeSeer Technologies for years. They are excellent in every respect. Whether it is before purchase or after they are helpful. They recommended a product that they didn't carry because they thought that it would do a better job for my purpose.

We found that the domain for this business is older than two years which could be an indication that this is a trustworthy business with an established customer base and experience in their field.
