I placed an order for an "in stock" item on 8/15. The order status went to "Shipping" and eight days later after hearing nothing, I had to call them and wait on hold for half an hour. When I finally talked to someone they said the item had to be ordered from an alternate location and would ship in a couple MORE days. Finally, on 8/30 I received the item.

I was purchasing a pair of Yamaha CM500 headphones, and when I found that Woodwind and Brasswind offered the best price, I went for it, though I read quite a few negative customer reviews about the company. While placing the order, I was told that my item may take 3-5 weeks for delivery. I was mentally prepared to wait for 5 weeks and then to make some angry phone calls, going by the reviews I read about the company and its customer service.

Nothing of that sort actually happened. Within less than 2 weeks of placing my order, I got an email telling that my item was shipped and it arrived 17 days from the day I placed the order. It was a brand new item and there was nothing to complain.

I was very happy with the purchase, and in the future, I will confidently do business with WWBW.

I strongly recommend buying in Woodwind and Brasswind because they guarantee the lowest price - not only when customer buy, but for 45 days after customer purchase as well. After I'd bought
ART Dual Transformer/Isolator Hum Eliminator I found the identical item, in stock and advertised for less at another authorized U.S. dealer($49.95). I sent a message to Woodwind and Brasswind's customer service and received reply after a few minutes:
"I will price match the item ART Dual Transformer/Isolator Hum Eliminator for the $49.99 plus the 10% which that amount comes to $15.90 that will be refunded back to your credit card."

Two days later I received the money($15.90).

Ordered a Christmas Gift and was guaranteed shipping on time, now it is Christmas Eve and I have no gift for my son. Customer service was non-existent. If I could give this place negative stars I would.

I placed an order on Dec 21st planning to take advantage of their advertised offer for 2-day shipping to receive before Christmas and their guaruntee to ship on time. During the checkout process no option was made available to select the faster shipping. I went ahead with the order anyway and followed within minutes a call to customer service. The representative assured me that the cahnge to shipping was made. The following evening my status still showed the order was not shipped. I called customer service again. This time the representative first denyed that they agreed to make the shipping change, then later said that they did agree, but could likely not make the change becuase the order was "at the warehouse". I again requested the change in shipping. She agreed to try to make the change and to call me back with the status - I never received a call. My wife followed up this morning and was told by a CS rep that indeed the order should have already shipped and that they would expidite the order a send it overnight. In a follow-up cal this afternoon we were told again that no changes were made to the order and there was nothing they could do. A request to speak with a manager was directed to voicemail and no return call has yet been made. The order status still shows "processing in warehouse".

Called WWBW to get a price match on an item ordered several weeks ago (and still not delivered), but was told that the competitor (ProWinds) *may* not be an "authorized dealer," so WWBW would not match the price.

I ordered a guitar once form WWAB, and i had to cancel the order for some reasons and ask for refund, and i was actually surprised with the fast serves as the item was canceled and i had my money back in only few hours later. so that was my good experience with them.

HI, I WROTE MY REVIEW ABOUT A WWBW(MUSICIANS FRIEND) FEW MONTHS AGO, ABOUT A VALVE TROMBONE THAT WAS WITH A SOLDERING MARK, AND I WAITED FOR 4 MONTHS TO GET A "NEW" TROMBONE BACK, BECAUSE THEY DID NOT HAVE IT ON STOCK, BUT THE THING IS.. AFTER WAITING ALL THAT TIME, THEY DID SOMETHING ABSURD, UNBELIEVABLE.... THEY SEND ME EXACTLY THE SAME TROMBONE, WITHOUT FIXING IT... I HAVE NEVER SEEN SUCH A THING... SO ALL I HAVE TO SAY ABOUT WWBW IS: A IRRESPONSIBLE COMPANY THAT WONT DO WHAT IT TAKES TO PLEASE A CUSTOMER, THEY JUST DONT CARE..

I have waited 3 MONTHS to finally receive this Trombone, and I still cannot start using it because its not the color I ordered, nor a color I want. I have been buying at Sweetwater & Guitar Center for years, and have NEVER had this much problem with an order. This is the WORST customer service I have ever experienced... So, do I have to wait ANOTHER 3 months to get the actual product I ordered??? Is anyone accountable at WWBW???

Ordered a tenor sax for my 14 year old for Christmas on 11-2017. It's been backordered twice, it's now 12-14-17. I called WWBW, it's backordered until 1-2-18. The person I spoke to said my credit card hadn't been charged yet for the purchase, like that was some sort of consolation. Don't offer something for sale, unless you can actually follow through. I will never deal with this company again, and will make it a point to let the music community know what a sham this place is. I told the person if I get another backorder notice, I will cancel my order. He didn't seem concerned. I think his name was Matt, although I do realize he is not personally responsible for this, this is an incredible disappoinment. I think my son was hoping to play tenor for the spring jazz concert, instead of alto. UPDATE: it is now 12-23-17, received another e-mail stating that it is now backordered AGAIN, and they will ship it when they get it in the next 30 days. That pushes it out to potentially 1-21-18. This sax is going to cost me $2700. I’ve looked online to try to get it somewhere else, but they don’t have financing. I’m going to keep looking. I’m almost interested to see how long this will take them. “Matt” said I was the very next customer in line to receive this product. I checked their website and they had the same sax available 1-9-18 or somewhere close to that. What is going on? If I’m the next one, why does it take another month?!?!

I bought 3 items from this store because the price is less than other. They ship it within 2-3 days. The item is defective and looks like used item. I email them the next day and I've been waiting for a week still no reply. Totally bad customer service. I will not buy anything from this store again

I ordered 10 microphones from them through Amazon and all 10 that I received were entirely different products from what I ordered. The nice condenser microphones I ordered were nowhere to be found and instead I got a box full of USB microphones not even remotely comparable. I'm thankful for Amazon's fraud protection otherwise I would be very nervous about this company. I still have to buy packaging tape and supplies now and return 10 large boxes and ship, quite an inconvenience for such a large error. The company offered a return but said they can not give me the product I ordered at the price I paid. Easy to say I will not be purchasing from them again.

I purchased a Fender twin reverb amp on "prime day" on their Amazon store. Woodwind and Brasswind charged my card and canceled my order for "technical reasons" without any further information. Woodwind and Brasswind misrepresented an item to me for a sale price and now canceled my order and currently still has my money. I would not deal with them again.

Placed an order Friday at 1042 am. They say it wasn't until Monday though my bank charges and the internet receipt say otherwise. Most companies where the items are in stock gather the order and once your cards been charged they ship the item. Not this company. Gabriella and Glorianna will be perfectly happy to tell you you're not reading the orders OR your bank statement correctly . This is by far the worst company I have ever dealt with in my entire life. They are unprofessional , rude, belittling , crass , inept , etc. If I were you, I would find a company that actually WANTS your business because a guitar (gig) bag and some guitar pics are apparently beyond their ability to ship in a timely manor.

I purchased a saxophone for my son on Cyber Monday because I was able to get an additional $50 off during a promotion they were running. I used their free shipping option and the saxophone arrived about 5 days later, in plenty of time for Christmas! All in all it was a painless process and my son loved his new instrument. I would certainly do business with these guys again.

i ordered the pee-wee les paul set for 49.99, and got the confirmation email and everything. then i get the cancellation email on the 4th. i decide to call them. this is about 5:30pm. first i get connected to a csr, who is confused beyond all belief. he pulls up my order and tells me my gig bag was cancelled because it was discontinued. wait, back up. gig bag??? i dont have a guitar to put in the gig bag to begin with. why would i order a 50 dollar bag??? so i try telling him that i didnt order that and hes still all confused. so he tells me he has to connect me to a sales rep so that i can get what i want. the sales rep says he doesnt know what is going on and connects me to someone else. the 2nd sales rep tells me that she cant do anything, that a csr has to do an exchange and she has no idea why my order is showing a gig bag. so she connects me back to my original csr, who is still confused. i ask him why i didnt get the pee-wee and he says its because 200 people tried to order it at once. so he tells me that my order is cancelled so i should just not worry about it, and i inform him that it was already charged to my cc. he tells me that its paypals problem and i should take it up with them. then he keeps talking about a new gig bag and i have to remind him once again that i dont have a guitar to put in the bag, i ordered a guitar. so i ask if theres something comperable i can get for what i paid and first he offers me a leftie guitar. i point that out to him and he offers me a different package which doesnt even compare to what i wanted originally. i tell him that what i wanted was a much better deal, like a 30 dollar difference, so i ask him if i can get some kind of discount on it. he tells me that i have to speak with a supervisor in sales. so he connects me back over, and the sales rep (4th person ive talked to) tells me she will see if she can find a supervisor. so im put on hold for the 5th time, and she comes back and tells me that all of the supervisors are busy with other customers and that she can schedule a time when they can call me back. the soonest they had was 9pm. this is like 6:30 by now. so i tell her id just call back later. i wasnt about to spend my entire night on the phone. HORRIBLE customer service, half of the items they say are in stock really aren't, i would NEVER do business with this company again. right now i'm just trying to get my money back.

I have purchased the electric cello strings sold by Woodwind and Brasswind as described on Amazon. On delivery to the luthier it was discovered these strings are not actually cello strings. I have spoke with customer service at Woodwind and Brasswind. It seems the store could careless about the fact they are misleading the public by listing these strings as cello strings. They are not willing to return or exchange these strings for the actual cello strings they mislead me to believe I was ordering. There excuse is they do not have to accommodate me due to the fact I have ordered off of Amazon. I will never use Woodwind and Brasswind again! Ordered the 27th of August, picked up and shipped the 29th, and arrived on the 1st of September, a total of five days after placing my order, well within reasonable timelines; actually, it's not bad, when you think of what might have happened. Items arrived in a box too big but well packed with air pocket plastic things, enough so my stuff inside (baton and case) wouldn't move around when I shook it. Even though the box was a little beat up from transit, as one of the corners was a little, um, not much of a corner, my items inside were fine. Both came in 'new' condition as well.
