The worst accountants I have used in 16 years of being is business. The speed of the communication is glacial 48-72 hours + to respond to emails, they removed the two members of staff (one my personal accountant) I had been dealing with for years and never told me - I literally found out on LinkedIn and to top it all they never apologise, never take ownership, never fix mistakes.
Do not deal with them for love or money.

We were with Accounts and Legal for 3 years and found that the service provided progressively got worse. We were assigned 4 different accountants during this time as 3 of them quit the company and each time there was minimal communication or handover done (exception was Nicola no.3). We found it nearly impossible to get any response from Accounts and Legal on many of our accounting queries without chasing them up several times.

Beware also trying to end a contract with them as we ended up having to pay for many services that weren't provided when they threatened our small catering business with legal action in the middle of also being unable to trade due the coronavirus lockdown.

Grrr, Accounts and Legal left me with a huge deferred income (even though I used a simple cash accounting system; Id apparently spent £10k on entertaining and the company apparently owed me £2.5k in Petty Cash! Hopeless, rude, inaccurate firm. Newbies and question shy! Avoid if you are a small business with no audit system

The service I've received from Accounts & Legal over the past year has been nothing short of fantastic. They identified refunds I was due from HMRC and processed them on my behalf, corrected some historical issues with previous submissions and offered to handle my Self Assessment (had I not already submitted it earlier in the year).

My VAT returns are handled efficiently and quickly, I'm reminded of filing dates with HMRC and Companies House, and I can concentrate on bringing in revenue rather than paperwork.

We searched online and found that this business has an active Facebook page with 589 followers. From our experience this can indicate that the business is either not actively engaged with online communication or is new and growing. We have discovered that this business has SSL (secure sockets layer), which means that this business handles your data, such as personal information or credit card details, with secure connection. We found that the domain for this business is older than two years which could be an indication that this is a trustworthy business with an established customer base and experience in their field.
