the product was as described and it was as we remember from the old days we do not usually buy foodstuffs on line but after seeing it on a certain tv programme we ordered some and are so pleased we have ordered more and will be doing so regularly in the future and have already recommended it to someone else

I thought they were based in the Lake District or nearby, perhaps the Trough of Bowland, from the online details, but it turns out they are in south Lancashire. I always try to buy turkey from local farms.

Well I found after my trial with e-mail ordering the service was first class but the transportation cost was more than the actual product and it just as cost effective to purchase from our local Supermarket but we have to try anything once but all in order it was very good service all round but not cost effective. but the product is recommended to who ever.

Every Christmas it has to be a goose from Albert Mathews.
Instructions for cooking turkey were erroneously enclosed but made no difference.

Usual problem with Christmas courier deliveries (they're all too greedy and take on too much work). However, Chris Matthews chivvied UK Mail to make sure our delivery arrived in time for Christmas day. All round excellent service by everyone at Albert Matthews and will certainly use again.

I have taken years to find a proper black pudding with substantial pieces of pork fat! To provide succulence and basting to stop it drying out in cooking.One wee grumble,it's a little too crumbly. Otherwise,excellent,thank you.If you ever need a taster let me know!

I have placed 4 orders with Albert Matthews now and I really rate them highly for the quality of their meat and their customer service. I have had issues with the website not taking correct payment which was handled expertly and with trust to ensure my delivery was on time. I also had an issue with missing chops in an order and was offered an instant refund (although I took it as credit). I tend to buy in bulk to get the benefit of free delivery and there are often deals that are fantastic value. Couldn't recommend more highly.

Delivery was one day late but to be expected in these trying times. Lamb box was full of delights. Thank you for replacing the kidneys with a portion of mince. Well packaged and well insulated. Had first meal this lunchtime, using the racks of lamb. A real treat and lived up to expectations. Lamb was delicious. Great fat content. Succulent. Looking forward to the rest of the box now and will certainly be placing another order and recommending you widely.

A very well packaged box that kept the contents chilled despite a day's delay in delivery by the courier. Yet to try most of it but the items are very well butchered and look good.

Contacted us shortly after ordering to say they were smoking the next day and delivery would be after this if that was ok. Not a problem annd duly arrived on time. Very efficient.

Very good service as usual but on this occasion I was disappointed with the quality of the rump steaks.I also ordered 2x10oz steaks but they only weighed in at 8oz each.The onglet steaks however were superb!
