Bought a Zanussi cooker on Sunday 29th March 2020 (during Covid 19 crisis)

It was fully installed and wired up within 24hours. Their team were courteous and explained the functions of the cooker.

The cooker is brilliant and works fantastically well.

Bloody amazing service if you ask me.

Ordered a new desktop PC 2 days ago to arrive by midday today. Recieved an email to confirm the order had been received, and over £1000 was taken from my bank account. Didn't hear anything more so went to track it today and it said the order had been cancelled. Apparently this was because they now wanted me to send them a copy of my drivers license or bank statement as proof of address. They refunded the money yesterday but yet to see it returned to my account. They never tried to call or email to get proof of address, they never said I'd need it in the first place, they were happy to take my money, and they cancelled it without ever trying to get in touch and procure the documentation that they never said I'd need to show them. I was heartbroken, was so excited last night I couldn't sleep and now I'm gutted and down £1000 for nothing. I have emailed their customer service and received no reply to my questions. Do not trust or shop at AO, I certainly wont be again.

I purchased an i7 PC worth £1699 and paid immediately.
Then it started.
On 26th September, I was contacted stating that delivery would now be a day later. It did get delivered, or should a say a pc did. It was an i3 worth only £799. Then they were ok, so I thought this is a simple mistake. On the 28th they collected it and delivered my new pc which was needed for work. No, how wrong could I be?. This time a dual core worth only £599. How was I greeted? How do you know?? Because it says so inside the machine and when you start it up on the specs. So how many people have the wrong product? Apparently the same product sticker has been placed on the outside of all the boxes. The replay again was that I was to just go away and wait for them to speak to the depot over the next few days and cancelled my order leaving me £1699 out of pocket and no PC. Fraud comes to mind. If you've bought a PC from AO, I seriously would check you have got what you paid for. I have in the past dealt with AO successfully and have had many products over the years with great customer service and value products. Don't order a PC from this company!!

I recently ordered a phone from Mobile Phones Direct a subsidiary of AO. The experience has really highlighted to me how poorly both companies are being run, the lack of communication has been shocking:

Ordered the galaxy S9 on promotion at 2313 on Friday.

I was dissapointed to see people who ordered after me on Saturday and Sunday connected with their deal, whilst I am still left in the dark.

To make it worse still I ordered a case and accessories in anticipation for a phone I have not received.

I understand they are busy because of black friday, but they should have made sure they had the supply chain in place to cope with the demand for their offers.

Bought a new cooker, was delivered and installed on bank holiday Monday. They even took the old one away for free and the packaging as well. Excellent service

Given washing machine delivery time for 7am to 5pm Phoned at 7pm said not coming driver out of hours be next mourning delivered at 8.30 miserable grumpy driver said he had been dragged out of bed. Connected it quickly drove off next minute kitchen flooded phoned AO they said he would come back he didn’t sent a delivery driver next day hadn’t a clue this has gone on for 6 days it’s just stood in our kitchen eventually they sent out a brilliant Bosch engineer who sorted out AO s mistake never ever deal with AO again we are in our 70 s never again we would like Paula for her expert help in dealing with our complaint. A.o. Are lucky to have her in their team, she is very thoughtful. They gave us compensation she has saved a.o. Bridget plume.

After ordering a range cooker back at the beginning of November ,we were told it would be delivered 21st of December (6 weeks after the order and payment was accepted) between 3pm to 7pm. We informed them we lived in a long narrow lane and a small delivery lorry would be needed, at 6:30pm they rang and said they only had a large lorry so could no deliver it. We have now been told it will be delivered Christmas Eve. Our old cooker had been disconnected by a gas engineer ready for the delivery. We now have to get it reconnected and book him again on Christmas Eve. This really is not acceptable, I run my own business and if I treated my customers the same way I would soon go out of business. Unfortunately it also means they have lost any future orders that we may make. We have bought several items from them and this is the second time they have let us down.

Had an oven and a washing machine installed by them in the past couple of weeks. Excellent customer service, apart from trying to push extended warranties on you but that is par for the course nowadays. Friendly, helpful drivers/fitters, although I get the impression they are being pressed for time always - ten minutes to install a washing machine seems a stretch. I hope they are paid well. Good customer service. If you have a problem with your product you can't blame AO, blame the manufacturers. AO just deliver and install (if applicable) the products.

Awfully rude delivery driver,AO didn't put my return old machine on paperwork I asked driver to wait as it was defiantly organised he was rude and unhelpful and just turned his back on me and walked off.
Had to waste another day for collecting it then to top it off the new machine was faulty reported it to AO within hours they tried to fob me off to the manufacturer for a repair??
On a brand new machine I don't think so, so another day I have to stay in for collection of this faulty machine.
I had to literally argue for the return and refund also.
AO I will never recommend you no goodwill gestures offered or discount.

cannot be more happy with the service that AO from ordering my cooker to the morning stewart and alan arrived having kept me informed about time of delivery and all before 9.00am . They were super quick and very professional. even when the complications arise from my cooking range being taken out. i was very impressed with their service!

a credit to AO! the bonus is my kitchen looks huge now with this new cooker!

Every time you buy some think from AO then there the phone you up to ask was you happy with your purchase
BUT THERE REALLY ONLY INTERESTED YOU TO GET YOU TO BUY EXTRA WARRANTY if i wanted it i would had order it what i PURCHASED THE ITEM

and then they think ok to phone you not from 8 to 5
but it ok to phone you up late a night IT NOT

i purchased a lot of AO there good on delivery and if you got a problem
BUT THEY WILL HARASSED YOU TO BUY THEM FOR EX WARRANTY

They say they would match the price if company delivers within 10 days has it in stock and is UK based. Well it's not true they have refused match price with company who had 48h ETA delivery window in UK, from UK warehouse. I mean if you don't believe what company states on website you can refuse match price with pretty much anybody

Steve & John came this morning, first thing to drop off my new washing machine. Could not of asked for better service they we’re so kind! The friendliest delivery drivers I have ever seen! They were here right on time, even took my old washing machine and with covid-19 they were very considerate asked me to go into a different room and still brought the new one into my kitchen, as it’s only by the front door. I was absolutely made up with this service couldn’t thank them enough!! Thank you xx

I was waiting for a cooker i was meant to have delivered by 29/4/2020. On 9/5/2020 still no cooker. I have never been messed about so much by a company. Then i find out they have cancelled my order. They didn't even think to tell me.

This was the 2nd attempt at installing our new cooker, the 1st delivery guy wasn't very good but the guys today were brilliant couldn't fault them at all!!

First they tricked me into taking out a warranty then they asked me to provide a bank statement of 3 months for which I asked why, then they cancelled my order the night before it was going to be delivered. Never using AO again!

Had an American style fridge freezer delivered and installed today. The two guys were amazing. Great service, and professional They had some abuse from a man walking his dog because of the way they parked. They had no option, where I live is on a nightmare bend in the road. The man was pathetic. They worked so hard and as quick as they could but still being professional. They need to be praised for putting up with such rubbish. I did stand at the bottom of the drive and talk to others who had to pass and they understood. Spoke to Lucy to explain. I have a code HEY8 Brilliant service. Thank you.

The first order:
So the first order the process on the phone to get through payment was so long, the person kept saying my card was being declined, I phoned to make the order rather than buy the Hotpoint washer/dryer because I wanted to make sure that the delivery people knew about the amount of stairs in my building and the lack of a lift.
A couple of the days later I get an email saying my order has been cancelled. When I called to ask why this was, they said it was because the order had been duplicated because the payments were tried so many times.
I said "ok that's fine, but is the note about the stairs still on there?" and they said no there were no notes about this at all, which defeated the entire point that I phoned. I was so angry that I cancelled this order.
The second order:
When I cooled off I made the order again for the second time. We finally had the washer dryer delivered and the installers were very nice about the stairs. However, when they left they had knocked the ignition switch for the hob behind the integrated washer / dryer and when we pulled the washer /dryer out to turn it back on, we realised they'd fitted a draining hose that had a hole in it and there was a leak.
So... we had to get them out again to replace this hose. They came out yesterday to replace the hose, hadn't had any hand over notes from the previous engineers so had no idea what the issue was. They eventually understood and replaced the hose. However, as soon as they left the dishwasher stopped working, so they had obviously knocked the pump from the dishwasher next to washer /dryer so now this couldn't fill with water... so now we're having them out again on Friday. So we're three months in to me ordering the washer / dryer and the effects of it are still ongoing...
Turns out they've caused more problems than they've solved.
