First of all, before you place your order or upload images, you need to know that this company is in China.
Now onto the rest

-quality: Their glossy prints can't be beat. their matted is ok, kind of dark. You also need to send/upload decent and large files also. I seen many complains on their forum because they send in photos taken from cheap dc or phone.

-Prices: their prices are fair for what you get. and they have a good range to choose from

-Shipping: This is the part that kills you. Shipping only via first class, so it takes long and cost very high.

-Services: at first, their customer services were quite bad and items arrived damaged as they did not know how to pack when they first opened. Orders were taking 1-2 weeks before shipping. Now it's about 3-5 days.

-Deals: they have great deals. They need to as the shipping is so high. They also give you lots of free prints and credits when you sign up. and much more each time you placed an order.

Overall, i used this printing service for about 6-7 times since they first opened. Only had one problem with large prints being a little damaged on edge. All prints came out great compared to other places locally.

I made an order from artscow.com in early June, first of all they double charged me, then the mug came broken, and there was no damage for the box which shows me that it was probably not broken during shipping. Along with this it took literally 2 weeks for them to get back to me about the broken mug, and they ignored me about the double charge. I called and left messages, as well as emailed multiple times, with no response. Finally they responded about the mug, and asked for pictures to prove that it was broken. I did that, and after a week and a half of waiting, as well as a few more emails, they responded and told me that they have placed the order. it is now July 18th, and my father's Fathers Day gift is still not here. As far as the double charge, it is now as I said before, July 18, and all they can tell me is that they will give me store credit, for THEIR mistake, (which they still haven’t' given to me). Now i will have $40 in store credit, that I didn't want to spend in the first place.

They have horrible Customer service... and watch out they charge you a currency exchange fee, without your knowledge or putting it on your receipt.

Terrible Customer Service - They canceled my order and would not refund my money...

I have ordered from ArtsCow.com a few times in the past couple years, but the latest experience was terrible. I spent numerous hours and days designing a photobook. Placed the order and waited 2 weeks to hear that a FIRE had destroyed their hard drives and that my photobook order was canceled and even the saved design on my account was lost. Instead of promptly issuing me a refund, they gave me a credit to remake the photobook - which I would have to start over from scratch since everything was lost. They responded to my emails because I filed a dispute through my Paypal account. Once I opened the dispute through Paypal, they took away the free credit that they had put in my account, and have not given me a refund for the order that they canceled.

I used to order from ArtsCow because of its quality and prices. But there are many disadvantages with ordering from them besides their lack of customer service. Everything is via email unless you want to make an international call to Hong Kong. It typically takes 2 weeks to process your order and then another 1-2 weeks to ship it to you. But the worst of all is their work ethic and deceptive customer service tactics.

Because I had opened a dispute through Paypal, they did respond to my emails, however, they repeatedly insisted that I close the dispute before they would give me a refund. I emailed Paypal Support to ask how to respond, and Paypal strongly recommended me not to close the dispute until coming to a satisfactory resolution with the seller, because once a dispute is closed, it can not be reopened or escalated to a claim (basically then the seller will have no further motivation to respond to your emails or refund your money). I even forwarded Paypal's email to Artscow, but they ignored the email and continued to insist that I close the dispute before they would refund my money.

Bottom line: If you still want to order from ArtsCow.com, at the very least pay through PayPal and that way if you don't get your order, you can file a Paypal claim to get your money back.

I ordered 2 sets of prints and one canvas. The first order I submitted was my 5x7 prints for my Christmas cards - submitted on nov 29. The other 2 orders were sent in over the following 3 days. I rec'd the last 2 orders within 10 days but still have not rec'd the first order. I emailed the company WHICH IS IN HONG KONG (but they never really show that on the website) and got one response as to how I had to wait. I emailed them every day and they would not respond. I finally got a response and they said they would only give me a credit it the order was returned to them in HONG KONG! Haven't they heard of lost usa mail?? Their customer service is horrible! They do have a USA Office in Texas but you can only mail them correspondance and you can only call the 1-877 number during HONG KONG hours! PLEASE SUPPORT USA companies and DO NOT ORDER FROM THESE CROOKS! The fact that they hide their location on their website (it is only under the contact us info) is sleezy!!

I used their coupon code for TWO pillow cases and was only sent ONE! I loved it and really wanted to buy 12 MORE but they would not return any of my emails other than to ask what my order number was. Other than that they will not respond to my emails. I feel bad because I really do love the pillow case and I did want to order 12 more. I don't want to order 12 and get sent 6 though. Sadly I will look for a company with better customer service.

I bought an XL Cosmetic Bag with the 99 Cent Gift promotion, so I only paid 99c including shipping for something that would've cost $13.99+shipping! A steal! The trick to buying with Artscow is that you must take advantage of their endless promotions and discount coupons. I would never, ever pay full price for an item of theirs, and you shouldn't either.

I placed the order on the 6th of January, received an email saying it was shipped on the 11th and it arrived today (16th), a total of 10 days after checkout, which was MUCH faster than I anticipated, coming from Hong Kong and all. The bag was packaged in a plastic bag in another plastic postage bag, which I thought was fine for a cosmetic bag (though I hope they do better for other products). However, I noticed the postage sticker was ticked as "gift", which was done to avoid customs and is illegal since I had paid money for it. Ah well, that's Artscow's problem.

Their cosmetic bag, frankly, looks nothing like a cosmetic bag. Which is why I intended from the start to use it as a pencil case, which is what it looks and functions exactly like.

I gave a rating of 3 stars for pricing, as I judged this not including all the discounts and promotions, but at full price. Although their stuff is fairly cheap even without coupons, the quality you get is fair at best. But an XL cosmetic bag at 99 cents shipped? How can I complain!

I had no need to contact customer service or request a refund, as my order arrived promptly and undamaged. Unfortunately, the other reviewers didn't enjoy the positive experience with Artscow as I had.

I designed a phone cover trying a couple different ideas and placed the final one in the cart to purchase. I also used the same picture for a money clip I also ordered. Both pictures were the same as I saw them in the cart. I placed the order and checked back the next day to see the status of the order and saw a different picture on the phone cover other than the one when I checked out.
I got a run around telling me I would be charged an $8 cancelation fee and no changes could be made at that time. I explained I wasn't making a change I wanted my original order. They had a one track line coming back saying I couldn't make any changes.
The company has a nice idea and seem cheap but they are not reliable and the customer is always wrong so be ware. I would not recommend this company to anyone and once I receive my refund I will never go back to them again. I recommend others to be ware and also stay away. The prices are cheap but it doesn't mean you are going to get what you pay for.

I have been an Artscow customer for years. I like to order their prints since they are the cheapest I can find. I have compared the same print from different places, and it is a little lower quality, but it was not a huge deal to me. I have also ordered a variety of other things - many photo books (again, a much lower quality than other places, but if you get their deals they are much cheaper), ornaments, bags, a blanket, electronics, etc. my husband has previously worked as a professional photographer, and he has a professional camera and lenses.

So all that to say, I have enough experience to know their quality, other places quality, and I have very good professional photos to print.

The bottom line is, like others have said, they have HORRIBLE customer service. I have had 3 complaints with them in the past, and they would not resolve any. The final was the biggest, and it was definitely their fault. After multiple complaint emails where they denied any issue was even there, they offered to have me return the items at my expense so they could look at them, but still refused to refund or replace them.

So order at your own risk, but don't pay more money than you are willing to lose. You may do ok for some items, but you will eventually get burned.

I have been an ArtsCow customer for years, as their promotions are great and the ability to customize is wonderful. However, this last order, I ordered two cosmetic bags, each one personalized different. They were to be given to sisters at the same time. The packing slip showed I ordered correctly, but two of the same name showed up (two different and correct designs but name on back was not correct for one bag). I requested they redo the wrong one, or refund both bags, as I cannot give to one girl without the other. They insisted that I first destroy the merchandise, then they would refund ONE bag. I said that would not work for me; I wanted the refund first, then would be glad to destroy it. They denied refund. I went to PayPal who voted in my favor but then asked me to return the bags to Hong Kong with tracking. I told them thanks but no thanks, that would cost too much. I asked instead if photos of the destroyed merchandise AFTER the refund would suffice, or shipment of the actual correct item could be expedited - I still want what I ordered! PayPal generously is going to refund the items with no penalty to ArtsCow, which bothers me. ArtsCow did the order wrong and aren't penalized?!?! I will never order from them again. Additionally I will find every opportunity to post a negative review. They could have just sent what I ordered, or refunded. Instead they requested I continue to pay for their mistake. Horrible Customer Service.

My cards arrived 2 weeks late and printed terribly. artscow said I had to return them-at my cost-to HONG KONG! I did, and still, 5 months later, NO REFUND. AVOID AT ALL COSTS THIS FRAUDULENT COMPANY!
