Peer to Peer Lending UK Investing P2P Platform

Over 3 years I have had a return of less than 1% p/a on £48k invested despite investing into the medium risk, provision-fund protected funds. Enforcement of bad loans, of which I encountered many, takes an age, years, and individual lender ability to direct the enforcement process is virtually nil.


In response to the reply from AC below: I have emailed 3 times asking for an average yield over a 3 year period as against the projected estimated returns for the specific investment account. I have been rebuffed by your customer service team by email all 3 times.
Your platform tells me I have an average yield of 7-8%. But that includes non-performing loans. My accrued interest increases day by day. But interest paid has been less than 1% over the period. Your reply is hence somewhat disingenuous...
If you substantively reply to my emails, I’m happy to be proved wrong!

[UPDATED May 11 2020: A legit platform. Here is my complaint: It took over 2 months to get a withdraw approved. Including several chats with several personnel (all named "Dawn"). I was not happy how they dismissed me, repeatedly "forgot" my case details, and generally dragged their heals. Eventually, they finally agreed i was corrected and solved the issue, but not with serious delays, and a financial loss to me. So whilr rverything is legit and fine until the moment they change a banking-policy, and YOU suffer the consequences. For Brits, this probably won't be an issue; international folks: I would not recommend using this platform.

Here is the detail of my issue: before I joined, I confirmed that I could debit/credit with my Transferwise GBP account. Then, they suddenly changed the policy and I was unable to withdraw. It was difficult to convince them that I was correct, and there were long delays in convincing them to manually approving my withdraw. Eventually, I received my money, but not without serious frustration and badgering them.

I've used Assetz for nearly 4 years now, and it's the best of the P2P platforms I've experienced. They are less aggressive than some and this extra prudence has resulted in a better performance over the longer-term. I also appreciate the range of different products they offer.

The 90 Day accounts needs to be renamed the 12 year acess account. I requested £1000 they have only made avaliable £6.66 at the moment. At this rate it could take over a decade to get my request completed.

The £6.66 is in a cash account and they are being very slow at verifying my bank account details, so I can not transfere en that lose change into my accounts.

I understand trading conditions are very unusal, but to only recieve less than 1 per cent of your withdrawl request would suggest they are about to go under.

Surprised there are so many good reviews. Obviously they have engaged a very good PR Team.

I've been investing with Assetz capital for about two and a half years and I have found them excellent. The other day I spoke with Dawn who was very friendly and professional and that can be said for the other customer service advisors. Investing rates are good for the risks involved together with strong security for each loan. An overall great experience and highly recommended.

6 months there, great experience so far. Its just strange that some of the auto-invest options are also investing into defaulted loans. Didn't cause any problems however.

I especially like the rapid response from their customer service teams when I have had occasion to contact them.

Not only is it really to contact them (unlike some other online platforms) but they also provide clear and concise answers to the questions I have raised in a friendly manner.

Assetz offers investors the opportunity to put their money direct into individual projects, or to deposit in 30 and 90 day notice accounts, in which Assetz does the investing for you. The first option offers higher interest but also a higher risk, the second a lower (but still very respectable) rate of interest and less risk (but not risk free). It is the only site I am aware of that gives investors this dual approach. In addition the site is easy to use and efficiently run. So full marks!

I have been investing with Assetz for 3 years now and my investment amount was about £81k, I heard about the drastic fall in stocks before reading the news that they have moved our money from Cash account to Quick Access without our consent - a measure (which I do not have a problem with) designed for critical market conditions to ensure every investor gets paid in due time.

Quite understandable but unfair nonetheless. The Queuing System starts up in the next few days, I really hope I get my money soon enough so I wouldn't have to involve my P.I.

Having Been an Investor with Assetz Capital For Seven Years I Have Nothing But Praise For Them, Their New Interface is Amazing,and Does Exactly what it says it Does. Funds in the Cash Account is Exactly That, Available for Withdrawal as and When You Need it, all One Has to do is to Set the Instruction for Interest to be Paid into the Cash Account and as and When it Becomes Available it is Paid Direct into the Cash Account, so I Cannot Understand Why Some Investors are Whinging About Not Being Able to Access Their Funds, Yes Payments Will Be Slower in the Current Covid-19 Climate, (You Can Thank the Chinese for This)But Then all P2P are Likewise Effected Also You can Keep Track of Interest Earned, Interest Accrued, Funds in their 30 Day/90 Day Accounts Plus their Now Discontinued Accounts Down to the Last Penny.......... Wonderful. Assetz Capital Has Always Been a Pleasure to Deal With, In the Good Times Returns Have Been Steady and Consistent, Now with the Black Death Upon Us, Returns May be Slower Than Usual and Defaults May Rise, That Dear Investors who Whinge is the Nature of Investing, if That's Not to Your Liking Stick with the FCA Covered Boring Old Banks.

One of the best peer 2 peer companies out there. They have a few different accounts but the 90 day access account gives 5.75% interest and has a discretionary provision fund or you can choose the loans you want to invest in yourself. Would highly recommned!
At the moment there is a £50 bonus if you invest more than a £1000 after 12 months as well as any accrued interest!

I have just over £6,000, I want to take about £300 out for a holiday later this year if flights restart.
Alsi I need £2000 to sue a builder.
At present I have £39 into the cash account.
The money was invested in the jokingly called Quick Access Account.
Money frozen, I think someone here should go to the press.
Why they did not have a fund to cover people who want to withdraw I don`t know.
I feel that I`m dealing again with the builder, money frozen, really almost feel it`s not mine anymore.
Two years ago I had a much larger sum of money in Assetz, glad I no longer do, I don`t trust them now. It`s like a bank failure happening.
