Seller sound like an idiot and even hangs up the phone when you complain. Never buy there again
On a later date, however, I found that a "new" water pump had scratches and actual rust on it. It was a major hassle to get them to take it back and I had file a complaint with BBB online to get a refund.
I also had a problem with a belt tensioner that was clattering. At the time, they had a 1-year warranty stated on the site, but after trying to contact them for a month, they just ignored me and I had to file ANOTHER complaint with BBB online.
Shipping is much slower now since they want to encourage people to pay the extra amount for express shipping.
Well Well! day thirteen my parts arived! The bag of head bolts that I ordered had been opened and resealed with one missing. The other parts were ok. I sent them an e-mail (since they won't answer thier phone) but I don't expect to hear from them. Now you know the rest of the story.
Called approximately 8 times to get core refund and still haven't gotten it yet. Won't shop there again.6/20/04
On Tuesday, May 1st, I called to inquire about the order, just to make sure nothing was on back order etc and was placed on hold, and within a few seconds I was disconnected. I called back right away, and as soon as the phone was picked up, I was hung up on. This happened a total of 6 times before someone finally got on the phone and stayed on the phone. When I finally got someone on the phone I was told that no, it had not shipped yet, that it was sent to warehouse and should ship by Wednesday.
On Saturday, May 5th I call and am told that it shipped out on Friday (May 4th) via UPS Ground, they couldn’t provide me with a tracking number yet, that there systems update at night. He said I should receive an email that night with the information, if not, to call back Monday morning and ask for it. So I call back Monday morning (May 7th) around 12:50 there time, and am told that the systems don’t update until 1pm; to call back in 10 minutes. SO I call back in 10 minutes to be told that yes it shipped on Friday the 4th, but that it can take their system 5 days to receive a tracking number. I said “So it’s likely I’ll receive the item before I get a tracking number?” To which he responded, “Yes that happens often.” As of Tuesday May 8th, I hadn’t received the items yet. I logged on to UPS.com and using there zip code in there contact info, I pretended to be shipping packages from there zip code to my zip code, using the weight they provided on my statement, and for US Ground shipping, IF shipped on Friday it should have been at my residence on Wednesday May 9th. So giving them the benefit of doubt, I put in Monday May 7th as the actual shipping date, just incase it didn’t physically leave there office until that day, and it shows I should have it no later then Thursday May 10th.
On Monday May 14th, 2007 I call to check the status only to find out that it did NOT ship on the 4th as previously told NUMEROUS times. He tells me that it’s processing at the warehouse and should be shipped by Wednesday May 16th.
Today, Thursday May 17, 2007 I call and twice someone answered the phone and the minute I say “Hi, I’m calling to check the status on an order I placed 3 wks ago”, I got hung up on. FINALLY on the 3rd attempt I get a VERY RUDE customer service guy on the phone. He just says Nope, hasn’t shipped yet. When I asked why not, he just simply said “It’s still processing” It’s been processing for almost a month??? He says I can’t tell you why. I said there HAS to be some way to find out WHY it’s still processing. He says “the only way I can do that is if I submit a request to the warehouse and they won’t get it until tomorrow (Friday) so you’ll have an answer on Monday.” I said how can I find out what the answer is, he expressed it would be emailed to me, I said I’d emailed them several times to no avail. He said, “The only way I can find out is if I submit a request and right now you’re wasting my time on the phone, I can’t do it while on the phone so would you like me to do my job.” Needless to say this left me livid. So if the jerk gave me the right information his name is Seymore and his extension is 205! These people have VERY bad customer service, and don’t care about taking care of anyone. They repeatedly hang up on you, lie to you, and just have rude behavior. I wish I had found out all of this information before submitting my order. I live 40 miles away from my office and my husband and I have been sharing 1 car for over a month waiting for them to get there stuff together. I’ve started the process of canceling my order, but from recent complaints found online that will be a huge struggle in itself.

*Update 10/26/09 - I did not receive the part until the following Thursday, 10/22, 7 business days after the order was placed 2nd Day Air. FedEx tracking # 989029937103.
I called my cc company to reverse charges on the order. My rep. insisted that I tried calling them to see if we could come to an agreement. So I did...
I called back, and spoke to "Art". He said my order was shipped and would call me back with a tracking number. 1. He never called me back. I had to call back a few times before getting a hold of him. He gave me a tracking number, but when I checked, it read: "UPS could not locate the shipment details for your request. Please verify your information and try again later". When I called back again, he said to check the tracking number after 9pm PT, but was pretending to be clueless to when my order was shipped.
If it was in fact shipped, it was shipped today. UPS DOES NOT give a tracking number 5 days after it was shipped. WHATS THE POINT!!! I've NEVER had that. UPS and every other courier in the USA provides a tracking number on the SAME DAY, unless the vendor did in fact NOT ship the order.
After numerous times of being unsuccessfully transfered to the manager, I told "Art" to relay the message for me. I said when I receive my parts, I will gladly call my CC company to have them pay autoparts giant in the time frame it took for them to process and ship it. If I receive my parts in a total of 20 days, I will call my cc company 20 days after I receive my order. Fair, right?
