The USB port went well and looked great in place of my 12V outlet that was in the center console.
But, I had issues with the GROM adapter and getting it to work right. I followed the manual and online aids to a T, yet, I couldn't get it to work. Eventually the device quick working entirely and the only thing I could get out of technical support was "your not changing the modes right," I couldn't get them to understand the unit was unresponsive, or, that I had uninstalled and removed it!
It is nice that a company will respond to a negative review, only to say that the customer was doing it wrong, when the customer TOLD THE ***ING company that the unit wouldn't work until a Firmware update was done.
If a company's only response to a review is "the customer was doing it wrong," when there was more to the problem the customer was saying all along goes to show you what an outfit they are!
UPDATE: Thankfully, I had ordered my unit using my PayPal Debit Card and I got them involved. I don't think that without their help that I would have gotten my money back! Thank you PayPal, and Autotoys.com.
I also had a leather interior installed into my brand new truck by them, that looks like an amateur installed, it's loose as a goose after 2 tries of fixing it I brought it to a professional.Dont let them touch you Vehicle!
I saw what seemed to be the item I was searching for and decided to take a chance.
Purchasing was easy, they accepted paypal and so at least I felt a little more secure.
When I received my siren that I purchased, it came in at or under the specified delivery date.
When I opened the package and saw the quality of the siren I had gotten, I was realy impressed by the straight forwardness of the site. It was very rugged in construction and it was plenty LOUD !!! Very nice.
There were multiple items I could have purchased, but their review of this particular siren was exactly as stated.
I was going to purchase .... like 5 of the sirens on my first purchase, but as stated I had never purchased before with this site. But I will be getting the rest soon, and I would definitely give the thumbs up to anyone wanting to purchase from Autotoys.

This was added on October 15, 2012 in reply to Autotoys response to my review.
First, the part that took twelve days to get DID NOT need to be programmed. It simply did not ship until ten days after I ordered it. I asked several times for a tracking number, and never was given one.
Second, the part that did need to be programmed did not leave Autotoys until Thursday, while I have emails telling me it would ship on Monday or Tuesday.
Third, when I emailed for assistance, Autotoys response was "remove the negative feedback and we will help you".
Fourth, Autotoys NEVER did get the unit working. I had to get Audiovox tech support to get the settings correct.
Fifth, I wrote a long and detailed letter, asking specific questions, to Autotoys. Never got any reply.
Sixth, Autotoys offered "compensation" if I would revise or remove the negative review.
UPDATE:
After being 'prompted' by my negative review, I received the following email, "
Hello,
We just notice from NAVTOOL that the MYGIG boxes are back in stock -
“finally!” We expect to ship your order within a couple of days or earlier.
Going forward, we will have a tight relationship with Navtool and they have
promised they wont have any futher backorders. Please understand this was out of
our control and they were provided the ETA dates we were forward to you.
We will email you a tracking # shortly, and would you please consider removing
your review on resellers or revising it? Thank you much and have a good day "
It has been a week later now and still no tracking number or offer for refund. It has been nearly 4 months now since I paid for an item which was offered as "available to ship immediately".
Its been over a year and its hard to get a hold of them. They don't call you. I'm trying to see what happened to my order and all they tell me is that's its pre-ordered which I understand and their policy says it would be from 4-6 weeks, I don't know if they're building it, I'm trying to get my money back and now they are saying they can only give me store credit. This is my fist and final time buying from them.
I highly recommend them, pass it forward.
I began the inquiry 2 days after my order was placed and my credit card was charged on the day of the order.

ME: I am inquiring into my order as detailed above. I have yet to receive a confirmation of shipment despite my PayPal account being charged US$709. Please advise.
AUTOTOYS: Your order is being processed.

AUTOTOYS: Once the unit is flashed, for your car, it will ship and you will receive a confirmation email. Thank you for your patience.

ME: How much longer before the unit gets flashed and shipped? I placed this order almost a week ago.
AUTOTOYS: Within 48 hrs

ME: It has been over 48 hours and still no delivery confirmation from you. Amusingly, however, I did receive a survey from your company asking how the installation went and what I thought of the product. HOWEVER, I have yet to receive the product. When are you shipping my order?
AUTOTOYS: No reply

ME: If I do not hear from you by noon Eastern Time on 1/16/2013, I will initiate proceedings with my credit card company to have the charges reversed for the item I paid for but have not yet received. Either that, or refund my money voluntarily on your part and cancel my order. My order was placed 1/6 and today is 1/15 yet I have still not received my item. I find this delay unacceptable -- especially for something so expensive.
AUTOTOYS: The programmer for the unit was away at CES. We can cancel your order or we can continue with it, let us know which you would prefer. He is now back.
Later the same day:
ME: CES ended 1/10/13. Today is 1/15/13. Saying your programmer was away at CES and only just now returned and have not yet programmed my unit is not acceptable to me. In your prior emails, you made no mention whatsoever about your programmer being away.
**** CANCEL MY ORDER RIGHT NOW and GIVE ME A FULL REFUND RIGHT NOW ****
AUTOTOYS: Full amt refunded
After reading the reviews about Autotoys, this seems to be their usual modus operandi. I count myself lucky that I was able to get a refund given the run-around I encountered.
Receive e-mail i sent a payment to SounConceptions even though there is no confirmation anything has shipped yet.
Month goes by no word whatsoever, i email them. Sept 17th they reply telling me it's on back order, i can continue to wait, cancel or substitute. I reply (Sept 18th) asking how long can they estimate the wait would be. NO RESPONSE
So i wait a bit more, October and November come around and they reply asking what was my order number. I send the all the info. NO RESPONSE.
December emails. NO RESPONSE
January, Feb., March, Arpil, May, June, July. NO RESPONSE!
August. Their Reply: Stephen. This order was not cancelled and refunded?
ANSWER ME!! I've been sending emails that have gone ignored all year!!
I don't know why you guys would charge me before letting me know it will be on backorder!!
OR at least reply and answer to your unfortunate customers!!!!

Oct 10/12 - Received email order shipped
Oct 17/12 - Sent email requesting tracking # because account on Autotoys still showed "Processing" order
Oct 18/12 - received email saying Lockpick is on back order and may not be available until next week and was asked if I wanted Navtool instead
Oct 18/12 - replied that I do not want a Navtool as it is more expensive with less features
Oct 18/12 - received reply stating my order was on hold for customs and back ordered offered me the Navtool at a lower price
Oct 19/12 - replied telling them I didn't want the Navtool and would appreciate communication on my order status
Oct 29/12 - emailed asking for an update as my account on their website still shows "Processing"
Oct 29/12 - received reply saying the Lockpick is still back ordered, but they could ship me a Navtool instead
Oct 29/12 - replied saying no again to the Navtool and told them if they do not have a date when my order will ship to cancel it.
Oct 31/12 - still haven't received a response, but have since found 2 other vendors who have the Lockpick in stock
