After nine months from my rental, I received an email from AutoVia stating that due to the failed payment from the bankrupt broker where I made the reservation Autovia is entitling them to take a further sum of 282.77 pounds. They also told me to contact the broker Vehicle Rent to dispute the first transaction. As the broker is bankrupt is no longer contactable, and I am unable to debate the early charge with my bank because it is nine months old.

If AutoVia had the courtesy to inform me within the first three months, I could have the money paid to Vehicle Rent refunded.

Overall I paid for the rental 577 pounds.

Thank you AutoVia, for the prompt communication with your customers, your custom is equal to zero, and you will no operate for much longer.

Refused to pick us up from airport (unless we payed 61 EUR extra) even though I called 20 minutes before they closed and asked for pickup.
Cancelled car even though we asked them not to and told them that we were coming to pick up the car the following morning. According to rentalcars.com the car was not cancelled but staff at rental office claimed it was.
Refused to give us another car the following day. Took 3 hours of negotiations and us accepting a much smaller car before we were able to rent a car even though they had available cars the entire time.
Terrible service and staff that was unwilling to help.
Location is not the best since if you are unable to use their shuttle it costs 25 EUR one way for a taxi even though it is really close to the airport.
On the positive side. Car was clean and nice.

I rented a car from this company from Bologna Airport between 26-29 November 2019. On March 04 and 09 2020 they sent me an e-mail that I had got a fine for entering in a restricted traffic area (ZTL). Regarding to terms and conditions point 6.1 letter J in the contract they said, they charged me a total of 240 EUR from my credit card details which I trusted and gave to them at the time of receiving the car. This amount of fee is totally is unacceptable. 240 EUR just for informing me by e-mail that I have a traffic ticket!!! This is nothing but tricking and stealing from customers!! I will complain at every platform that I can to inform people so they would not choose this thief company.DO NOT CHOOSE THIS COMPANY!!!

I paid for my car hire last July and Autovia have now taken the money again.. I believe this is illegal and I have paid almost £300 twice - dreadful!!!
I am sure they will post the same stock automated reply they have with other reviews. DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY.
