While on holiday in Lake District the clutch went on my car. AA patrol diagnosed a broken Slave Cylinder and could not repair so towed me to Windermere Auto Centre. We were due to go home the following morning so was very concerned about how to get home. Needn't have worried. I spoke to a very nice gent called Richard at 0915hrs he assured me the car was on the ramp, the faulty part removed and replacement ordered and was expected to be finished by 1300hrs. True to his word was all boxed off and on the road by 1310hrs. Faultless service thank you very much

Robbing bastards!!! Went in for 2 hour job, paid for 3 hours. Don`t get me wrong, job was done good, review is only about the cost. The owner is greedy. Remember him charging £80 to do illegal taxi services from Ableside to Windermere back in 2015 when area was flooded.

Mats ordered were for 2013 Explorer. When they arrived, the bill of lading read 2011 Explorer. Back seat mats were very good, passenger side mat was good, but the driver's side mat is too small and allows snow to get on the carpeting underneath. When I called to complain, I was told we should have ordered custom mats, not semi-custom!

If you own a Volvo like me or any European make/model- do yourself a favour a let Dick & Lisa Anza look after your car. Their team are honest and have been keeping my car safe for the last 3yrs. It's like going to a dealer workshop, but cheaper! My husband is a mechanic (and calls them for advice) but will only let perth swedish work on our Volvo repairs as they have proven to be the most knowledgeable and really are EXPERTS!

I brought my car to Perth Swedish Auto Centre for 2nd opinion and I was so lucky the other place (won't name) didn't rip me off. Basically, I thought I needed a new DPF... their diagnostics and skills proved I didn't have a DPF problem! Great to find trustworthy mechanics who gave me a $300 fix instead of the $3k I thought I was up for. Great customer service, free loan car and you could eat your lunch off the immaculate 5 star workshop. Highly recommend this place to anyone wanting a long term, honest, friendly mechanic.

TLC responded very quickly to my needs and came out on a Saturday morning despite their busy schedule. Great customer service, accommodating, responsive and flexible. Was detailed in the explanation of what was required. On the day my car needed parts which TLC went to collect and returned and my car was in running order by the afternoon. I highly recommend!!!!

Had my Toyota Prado serviced for years at main dealer. Felt ripped off. Found TLC who specialise in Landcruisers. SUV now runs superbly having had a well priced service and a number of things that had been overlooked previously by Toyota attended to with no added cost. No surprises, no bull. Will be going back for sure. Brilliant service and competance. Well happy.

Insured my holiday home in France with them for 10+ years. Paid by direct debit from my french bank account. I then switched to a UK based specialist holiday home company for a fraction of the price (problem #1, but I should have checked ages ago), so didn't need the Groupama policy anymore. I tried to cancel Groupama from the next renewal date, but they were very poor at acknowledging my requests to cancel (Problem #2 - they will ignore you unless you send a letter by registered post from the UK). I finally got them to acknowledge cancellation on the next renewal date, but I just in case instructed my French bank to make sure all direct debits and orders from Groupama were cancelled. Just as well - because Groupama tried to take payment for the now-cancelled policy (Problem #3). Terrible service, only seem to communicate via postal letters. Email responsiveness is poor.

In June 2017 I had the MOT done by McConechy's Spiersbridge branch. As part of the repairs needed I was charged and additional £201.82 for handbrake cables (Doc. No. EGC34066). Following the repair, the handbrake remained weak but I thought maybe that was the best they could do (not so as I found out later). After 11 months and only 3912 miles, I got an advisory regarding the weak handbrake performance during the 2018 MOT at a different garage, which proves that McConechy's did not address the problem properly during the previous MOT. For the 2019 MOT, I used the other garage again and this time I asked why the handbrake was weak, especially given that I was invoiced for brand new cables by McConechy's 2 years ago. They had a look and found the cables were not in the condition you'd expect from a 2 year old part. All other parts underneath the car replaced by McConechy's in June 2017 still looked relatively good, except the handbrake cables. This is verifiable. I then asked the other garage to replace the cables, which were difficult to remove given their condition. Following this, the handbrake improved instantly, proving that no other part was responsible for the problem. This was of course done at additional cost. I complained to McConechy's Spiersbridge branch in June 2019, but this wasn't constructive. I then wrote to their head office explaining my experience and provided them with all the information above, and expressed my conclusions that perhaps due to a mistake or time-billing practices, the cables were adjusted but not fully replaced in June 2017. Their regional manager responded by selectively acknowledging the information I presented and then stated that they will not accept liability or offer any compensation and kept insisting that the cables were supplied and fitted in June 2017 without providing any explanation of why he is certain that no other reasonable scenario could have occurred. Regardless of what happened and the time that has passed, the 2018 MOT record shows that there was an issue with McConechy's repair within their 1-year guarantee period, so I believe that this fact alone should've merited a better response from McConechy's.

Parts took over 2 weeks to arrive. Brake disks have signs of wear (marks & gouges) and are not well packaged. Fuel filter doesn't fit my car, but stated it does on website. No contact to mister auto is available and return is almost impossible. However, prices are good. I would think again before I place another order with mister auto though. I would rather pay slightly more for a better overall service. I would highly recommend Auto Doc instead, which I have used several times with a lot better success. Further update. Since the earlier review, I can now confirm that Mister Auto have refunded the amount owed to me. However, I am still not going to recommend using this company until they have a better way of making contact with them, and actually make the effort to reply to customers.

After nine months from my rental, I received an email from AutoVia stating that due to the failed payment from the bankrupt broker where I made the reservation Autovia is entitling them to take a further sum of 282.77 pounds. They also told me to contact the broker Vehicle Rent to dispute the first transaction. As the broker is bankrupt is no longer contactable, and I am unable to debate the early charge with my bank because it is nine months old. If AutoVia had the courtesy to inform me within the first three months, I could have the money paid to Vehicle Rent refunded. Overall I paid for the rental 577 pounds. Thank you AutoVia, for the prompt communication with your customers, your custom is equal to zero, and you will no operate for much longer.

Refused to pick us up from airport (unless we payed 61 EUR extra) even though I called 20 minutes before they closed and asked for pickup. Cancelled car even though we asked them not to and told them that we were coming to pick up the car the following morning. According to rentalcars.com the car was not cancelled but staff at rental office claimed it was. Refused to give us another car the following day. Took 3 hours of negotiations and us accepting a much smaller car before we were able to rent a car even though they had available cars the entire time. Terrible service and staff that was unwilling to help. Location is not the best since if you are unable to use their shuttle it costs 25 EUR one way for a taxi even though it is really close to the airport. On the positive side. Car was clean and nice.
