Virgin Mobile sold to Boost. I should have over $150 and service until December 2020. Instead 2 days ago, Boost brought it all down to 0 money and 0 time. Called them. Paul, a supervisor, promised to rectify matter in 24 hours. That was yesterday. Speaking today to Stacy. Took her 30 minutes on hold to finally explain to me that Boost has unilaterally changed the contract that they bought from Virgin and decided that I have to give them more money in order to get service even though my contract should extend to December and there is $150 in my account.. Shame on you Sir Charles Branson for selling us out. You got the money and we were duped!

I was with virgin mobile and was moved to boost without any choice. Suddenly I am paying way more often than I was before for both phones. Turns out they were charging me for a LOT of texts that I didn't send. They did not offer me any solution for this issue. Granted, it may have been someone using my number, but it is a really strange coincidence that both of my phone numbers were suddenly stolen. They didn't even offer to change my number, they just offered to sell me a MUCH more expensive plan. I dumped them.

Just yesterday ended my first 90 day transferred term for pay-as-you-go two phone plans. Disaster! Checked a day before and boost page said I have enough balance money ($350+), no need to pay. Then a day later the only email arrives for just one phone account saying your balance is $0. Surprise! VMobile never did this dirty stuff. You could miss a payment for a million reasons and they would not touch your balance. Not boost. They grabbed money from my both account totaling over $700 of balance. I called them 3 times. Everytime, CSR would say "Hold on, I will check something" and my phone call would be dropped. Basically, it's all my fault as they say. Their communication on all levels - NON-EXISTENT!!! Horrible! When you call them, they steer you away from actual live person, and those people are useless, same as answering machine. So, boost pocketed my money (oh, yes, hopefully you know something about accounting and accounts payable/receivable) that I had with Virgin Mobile for over 10 years or more. They pocketed over $700 just from me, but how many more got scammed by this VM to Boost transfer? Canceled one phone account now with $0, looking for another service with some "honest" provider if they still exist.

If I could give a negative star, I would. I have been with boost for at least 10 years. About 2 years ago, I bought an IPhone 8 outright from the apple store. I had it replaced last December. I am currently trying to switch to a new phone provider and Boost has my phone locked. When I called them the first 4 times, they repeatedly told me that my phone was not locked. I have called them at least 8 times now and found out that due to a new policy, they have it locked. Even though they advertise as a month to month plan, they now require you to have 12 consecutive months before unlocking a phone, even if it was not purchased from them. Because I had the phone replaced, my time restarted in December 2019 and will not be eligible for unlocking until December 2020. I have been waiting on a call back from a manager for the last 3 days, I was told I would be contacted in 24 hours. If I would have known of this new policy, we would have canceled our plans a long time ago. I just got off an hour and 10 minute phone call with them and they ended up transferring me to apple to assist with unlocking the phone. Apple cannot assist with this issue.

I have been with boost mobile for 15 years and I am very disappointed in the service the last few years. I live in a rural area and I have had no problem with my cell service for 2 years. now all of a sudden in the last year I have had no service where i live. I have reached out to boost many times about this and its always the same story which is they are working on the cell towers. well this has been there story for the last year and i find it hard to believe they have been working on the towers for a year. I asked them to unlock my phone so I can seek service elsewhere and they wont do it. They said they were going to send me a new sim card for my phone (which I explained its not my phone as it works just fine in other cities) but they never did send me a sim card. They never let me speak to a supervisor as they tell me I will get a phone call from one but i never do, so just more lies. I have not had a phone for weeks and they refuse to give me a discount so here we are, I cant switch my provider cause they wont unlock my phone and I cant get ahold of a supervisor and I am always lied to and I cant get a discount. Thanks boost mobile for treating your long time customer this way. Oh and this is the first review I have ever written in my life but I felt people needed to know how boost operates.

Virgin Mobile sold my 11 year account to Sprint, who sold it to Boost. I had two identical phones, both worked at the same time when I was with Virgin Mobile. Only one worked by the time they sold my account to Boost. My working phones screen was having intermittent problems and I wanted to port my number to the other phone. I went into Boost and the employee said "no problem." After an hour in the store I walked out with TWO PHONES THAT DIDN'T WORK. SHE BRICKED THEM. Boost mobile has no contact that I could find but I would love to sue them.

We went to a Boost mobile store to inquire about plans. When we asked if we could use our current phone we were told "no problem." We inquired about the plans, then said we were interested in one particular plan. The rep then took some information and quoted us a price well above the plan price we had asked about In addition, she told us that we would need to purchase a phone from Boost - even though she had told us earlier that we could use our own phone. We told her we were not interested. Later I discovered that she had set up a Boost account, "trapped" our current number, and the company told us we would need to pay $67 to get the number back. After 7 hours on the phone with a variety of reps, and constant pleas to talk to a manager, the account was finally taken down. But because we refused to pay $67 for something we never used and never agreed to, we were unable to recover our phone number. They are thieves.

I returned to Boost Mobile because I was so impressed with their customer service. Their website is almost as good, but there were some issues. I found a phone and started the process to purchase but the system would not complete my transaction. I finally had to call their customer service and the gentleman there took care of me. He was great, knew the products and helped me find the best deal. The website is easy to navigate and the photos are clear. I really like the product descriptions and filters for search. Not sure what went wrong with the transaction, but the rest of the site is great.

Boost Mobile touts that they are a no contract pre-pay phone service but not the case. If you join with them they will lock your phone till you pay for 12 months of their service, or your phone will never work again anywhere. We were a long time customer with two phone at Virgin mobile a division of Sprint. Boost mobile took over Virgin and we got transferred into their service. They emailed us and offered us new phones with $100 off on the iPhone 11. Went to a Boost store and was charged $1600 for two iPhone 11, and when I asked why they did not give me the discount offer, they said because I was not a "New Customer" since I was previously with Virgin. I received no receipt, contact nor any kind of paper work at the store and was informed it would be emailed to me. It was not, did not receive anything via email. After two months of bad service and poor reception, call getting dropped and text not going through we decided to move to another service provider, but found out we could not since our phones were locked for twelve months, since now Boost considers us "new customer". We are in the process of file Better Business complaints and FCC complaints and would like to join a class action suite if one is out there. Take my advise and stay clear of this company. Boost mobile and Sprint, one of the same. Ken Shaw SR Computer Support

I tried to file a claim through the automated service with my phone being broke. By doing that I hit the wrong key and by hitting one wrong key now I cannot use my insurance and get a new phone. I've been with this company for 5 years and the first time I need something after paying what I supposed to be it was declined so if you looking for a new phone or a new phone service provider heed this warning Boost Mobile will not be the best place for you to spend your money or your time. So now I'm going to look to for a new phone carrier.

Don't waste your money. You will not get connected, no matter where your location is. The signal is extremely weak. Customer service stinks. The only reason I am giving one start is because there is no other option.

Purchased Samsung Galaxy S8 on the Boost Mobile website in July. It took 3 weeks to arrive. Upon arrival, Phone was shattered. Customer service was contacted and I was told a return label will be mailed in 3 to 5 business days. Almost 4 months have passed and still no return slip or refund. Customer service is poor to say the least. Do not spend over $250 for a broken phone and no customer service.

Was with Boost 10 years. They sold and changed their towers (supposedly building new ones}. I lost service as did most of area. They told me I needed to buy a new phone and I did. Still no reception. Then they told me about the change that caused the problem with no relief in sight for months. I had to go to a different carrier. The new company could not use the new phone I just purchased because Boost puts a lock on their phones for 1 year. Boost will not remove the lock. I am going to take them to small claims court. Their customer support is non-existent.

From the moment I switched to Boost has been a nightmare. Their call quality is horrendous and cuts in & out all time. Their data service is the worst ever. It lags when it works, but for the most part doesn't work half the time. Their customer service is by far the worst part of Boost's services. They don't communicate with one another when transferring you to a 'tech' support operator, so your repeating the same information over to someone new every time they transfer you... And that's after being on the phone with them for 2 hours already. Their LIVE representatives are only live for certain hours of they day and they keep you on hold for extensive amounts of time so that when they don't fix your problems, they schedule a callback in 48 to 72 hours because everyone has logged out of their systems and unavailable. So if you have an issue of no data connection, they troubleshoot you to the point of ABSOLUTELY NO PHONE SERVICE AT ALL. I switched to Boost because I wanted to unlimited data with hotspot. My mistake! I will NEVER recommend BOOST MOBILE to anyone and will be switching my service to a different provider as soon as possible. I have had nothing but problems with their service quality since day one of switching to them. If your looking for a good service provider, I do recommend Metro PCS by T-Mobile. I always had good experiences with them and regret ever changing services. The photo I attached has been the the screen of my phone for near 3 hours at the time I write this post. I can't even go to my home screen anymore since they began "TROUBLE SHOOTING".

I have Boost Mobile (previously Virgin Mobile) for my prepaid mobile phone provider. I thought all mobile phone companies were in on helping their customers due to this pandemic. However with Boost Mobile that Was Not The Case. I tried forever to get ahold of their customer support and after hours i was able to, to only find out theres nothing they were able to due to extend my service (due on 04/01/20) even by a few days. I told them i wasn't able to get anywhere (my 9 yr old daughter has no school and ive got no one to watch her for me to leave quick, i refuse to take her along any where during the COVID-19 issue) for a prepaid minutes card also I've got no credit card to use. My service was going to be shut off due to this all and after letting them know all of this And the fact of being a loyal on time customer for almost 4 years, they told me sorry theres nothing they can due. Midnight that night my phone was shut off. My aunt 2 days later paid my bill for me after not being able to get ahold of me and worrying. I know this is nothing useful to help with payments for anyone in need, maybe it can be helpful though in letting anyone know how much they can't count on Boost Mobile (or Sprint or whomever is all merged together now in their large Billion dollar Empire) in the future.

I ost my phone under boost Mobile plan and forgot my pin so boost is telling me that my service has to stay active until it ends. This is the only option they provide in order to report my phone lost or to suspend my service. I'll never use boost again in my life. Bad service!!

I use to go into a particular Boost Mobile in Elyria OH because the agents there was very knowledgeable and very helpful. These guys were sharp. Glad to go there. Now I am seriously thinking about changing my phone service. All the Boost Mobile stores have gotten rid of the sales men that cared and tried to help people out... and replace them with guys that pretend they can't understand what you are saying and don't care about helping and CANT help you. I mean it's disgusting when you go into Boost Mobile store and these guys can't tell you ANYTHING about your phone that you didn't know. As a matter of fact you end up telling them the features while they stand there looking like they were lost in a storm. I mean none of them can help you. It's like a take over of these guys that absolutely don't know how to help with your phone and they don't want to. The customer service is the worst I've ever seen in my life. It's like a salesman selling something he has no knowledge of and he can't even help you. Worst of all he doesn't want to help either.
