Christopher Cloos - Danish Eyewear

I purchased two governor ( one sunglasses and one blue light ). I followed the shipment from Danemark and it only took few days even with COVID-19.

I love both glasses. I am telling my friends about these timeless eyewear.

I will order the blue light with my prescription if Cloos has that option available.

Bought the blue light glasses as I am sitting in front of a computer 10 hours a day. I felt less tired and the quality of my sleep went up. Was presently surprised of the effect that the blue light glasses had.

I have had exemplary service from Alexander, mirroring service in Liberty’s during the late 50’s to mid- 60’s.
During that time I believe their service was equal to that which almost amazingly today I have received from Clio’s

Due to President Trump's misguided China tariff policy, my my order was delayed in customs for over a week. Cloos customer service reps responded immediately once they learned of the problem and were excellent professionals in resolving the issue..

I ordered my pair of Paloma 49 Blue light, and they shipped them same day. I received them the day after with UPS. All packed in a nice box and case. They are extremely light and fit perfectly. No need for adjustment.

Bought my pair in a retail location in New York two years ago. Have been my go to sunglasses ever since!

I purchased 3 pairs of sunglasses and was saddled with $150+ tariff charge. This was after FedEx demanded that I send them my social security number through unsecured email. After returning the 3 frames, it took Christopher Cloos 3 months to refund me. It then took another month for them to refund 50% of the $150 tariff I paid out of pocket. This is with weekly follow-ups on my end and generally poor communication overall. Really, a terrible experience. Please purchase at your own risk.

EDIT: After posting my previous 1-star review I was immediately contacted by a different agent at Christopher Cloos who was looking to remedy the situation in return for an updated or deleted review. They offered to reimburse me the remaining $75 which I had paid out of pocket to FedEx as well as send me a free pair of CC frames of my choice. I accepted their offer with a promise to update or delete my review as soon as the frames were RECEIVED. There was a lot of pressure and several emails requesting that I immediately remove my review as soon as they reimbursed me the $75 and as soon as the frames were SHIPPED. I had to reiterate several times that I would only update my review when the frames were RECEIVED. At some point, I got my message across and they did not pressure me again. The frames were shipped on 04/28. I just received them a few days ago on 06/16. So about 7-weeks? There was no tracking information provided until the package arrived stateside on 06/12. 

TL;DR They made me whole and gave me a free pair of frames. But the whole grueling process was close to 9-months in the making and it took a 1-star review to get traction from the company. Make sure they ship the frames to you from Denmark and not China, as there is a 15% tariff that you might get charged with. Expect lengthy ship times.

I bought my first pair in January 2019, and ever since I've loved to wear the fantastic and comfy sunglasses from Danish Rayban pendant, Christopher Cloos. The quality and fitting is high level, and so is the customer service. I ordered a pair during the COVID-19 crisis, and my package was delayed. I put a call in, and the very nice guy at the office offered me a pair of sunglasses free of choice, as a 'sorry-for-the-delay' gift. I must say, that this service reflects my overall impression of the company. Top professional. Their timeless designs and original style, will definitely take them to the heights, in the international market of glasses/sunglasses. My biggest recommendations. - Peter DK

Have been searching for a pair of timeless and classic sunglasses at a reasonable price for a while now, and finally found Christopher Cloos - ordered a pair of their Pampelonne model, which has already become my favorite pair. Really recommend this brand!
