Took out car insurance last year with Churchill using Confused.com & no issues, received paperwork through the post promptly. Competitive renewal quote this year from them but clinched by Sainsbury's due to extra points for duration of policy (sorry Churchill!).

they promised me double the no claims discount, then went back on their word when it was time to issue my NCD certificate when that was one of the primary reasons I went with them in the first place. Quite expensive, too.

Do not believe the 5/5 stars they are advertising. First few months with them and unfortunately my car windscreen cracked. They directed me to their preferred partner Autoglass to get it replaced for the amazing price of 75£. When I double checked details and asked if they would use the exact original glass manufacturer, I was told Churchill would not cover this cost. They would use a cheap equivalent. For safety reasons and peace of mind, I decided to have the work done by the car manufacturer and Churchill is only refunding 125£ (roughly 10% of the total cost). A joke...

Very disappointing service when you need to make a claim, never insurance anything with them again. The fact that they don’t allow reviews on their own website tells you everything you need to know.

Worst company you can ever have insurance with my advice to people is stay away from this company they are a scam artist they will Rob you without you realising I had my second year running insurance with them when you have a crash they will make you life hell like they did to me they have not paid me out for my car they put two claims against me which is I had no idea about the accident report came back as both parties are in fault but they decided to put it against me no I've lost my car I've lost my money for my car they are not interested and not even willing to communicate with me I will never have insurance by these again even if they offered it Me for free stay away people my advice to you

Quoted me over £520 for the same insurance that my local independent company offered me for £375, and I get personal treatment with them being a shop in my own town. Churchill is a rob dog!

I had an accident in September 2019 and it was resolved very quickly and everything I needed was done, they just did a grand job and provided exactly the service required.

I had an accident recently which I was at fault I contacted Churchill and they were brilliant and dealt with my claim in an way and sympathetic way they kept in contact with me and organised everything for me for which I was really was grateful for . I would highly recommend them the staff are excellent

Despite my informing Churchill (on 13th February, spoke to Diane who assured me she'd made the change on their system) that I did not want to renew with them (prior to my policy expiration 11 March) I got a letter saying they'd autorenewed on 15th March - four days after expiration. I phoned on 15th, spoke to Kirsty who assured me absolutely that it was cancelled and that they would definitely not take payment. Today, 19th March, I see that they've taken a random amount £204.96 from my account. This is outrageous - I have only just enough in my account to prevent this making it overdrawn. Do not deal with these people - even if you record dates and names they will still take your money. They can only be just this side of legal behaviour.

I had 2 months left on my policy when I purchased a new car. I called Churchill to cancel my policy. I was charged nearly £50 to cancel my policy which was around the same price as keeping the policy running. I feel exploited as I’m paying for a service I am getting. Buyer beware.

I have car insurance with Churchill, I recently had a minor accident with my car and for the first time ever I had to claim on my insurance. The Customer service department took care of it all for me, arranged a courtesy car, and kept me updated all the way along. I now have my car back and would definitely recommend Churchill insurance to all family and friends. Great customer service from start to finish. Thanks for a hassle free experience.

took the breakdown cover but when they inspected our boiler they asked for all previous service reports which I am sure they know no one keeps so they have weaselled their way out of helping . I am never going to use them again - the engineer told us this was their way of getting out of helping so its obviously a tactic they frequently use don't use their insurance they will tryand worm out of helping you

Disappointed with this company, is an understatement, they cancelled my policy after two months because l made a one off single/ annual payment of about £920-00, After a review of the policy, I was informed that I need to pay £20-00 extra but within this period I was caring for a relative with terminal cancer, and before I could pick myself up, they wrote to me that the policy is cancelled. I was of the assumption that since I have paid 98% of the annual payment and we are only in the 2nd month of the policy, ,that they will give me more time, but to my dismay they cancelled my policy
