I'm a US expat living in Taiwan, which has a universal National Health Insurance. I decided to supplement it with additional private health insurance in case one day something bad happens and I want treatment beyond what Taiwan’s health insurance offers. One consideration was that I often travelled around the world a lot and occasionally would return for short visits to the United States. Therefore, I considered Cigna over private health insurances in Taiwan.
What’s annoying is that Cigna highlights my male pattern baldness as a pre-existing or on-going condition as I take generic proscar. I kept on telling them that proscar is available over the counter in Taiwan without the need of a doctor’s prescription and that it’s cheap. I kept on telling them that I wouldn’t bother the hassle of using Cigna’s outpatient insurance over this. Even if I’m abroad, it’s cheap to get an online doctor’s consultation and a prescription. But they want to continue to highlight my male pattern baldness as an exclusion until the male pattern baldness “is no longer an on-going condition.” Maybe they want to see a picture of me totally bald to be satisfied.

The process of selecting Cigna was flawless under the care of Rachel.
Having assessed all of my families options for Health insurance in Dubai, Cigna was by far out first choice.
We have yet to submit a claim, but I cannot fault the customer service provided by Rachel thus far.

I have asked three times for action (change of language) and and call back (twice) in the last eight days. Have not received neither responses nor call back.

Never had any problem with Cigna and me and my family have to use it since 3 Years now.

Good Quality who explain the higher price. If you found low price of health insurance you have to be aware!!!!

I was able to receive the direction and information needed to complete my yearly check ups this week. Brennan, Rebecca and Alba have been professional, efficient and a joy to work with. They have clarified confusions about using my Cigna International Insurance Plan in the US. The policy number is not easily identified in the US and I am awaiting the arrival of my Cigna ID Card with my Membership # on it.

I sent a query via email and a CIGNA consultant from Singapore contacted me in a very timely manner. She was very knowledgeable and helpful. If she had any concerns or doubts, she checked with her colleagues to obtain clarification. Over a number of days with back and forth communication, we put a policy together that is now in place which suits my current requirements and achieved mutual satisfaction.

Tried to sell me a health insurance in Germany that does not comply with German law for health insurance requirements.
I did explain my situation very clearly. I expect someone who sell health insurance for Germany should know the laws, but I guess it is more important to make a sale than bothering with details about whether it is useful&legal for the customer.

If you are a eu citizen moving to Germany you should know that Cigna is not able to provide you health insurance that conforms with the German law. However if you are in Germany on temp visa, stationed by a company, or other temporary situation, it might be ok with what Cigna can offer. Now you know.
