I'v worked with David several times over the years. His trainings are always fantastic with strong, actionable recommendations. In addition, David is personable and energetic, making the experience (which can be intimidating) enjoyable.

I've been doing media trainings with Bill for the last eight years to prepare for an annual awards show that I host. Bill took me from wobbly and unsure to poised and confident, and I've used his teachings in many other business settings, which has helped me grow in my job. He is a master at script doctoring as well, so I always feel like what I'm saying is as good as how I'm saying it. I genuinely appreciate his relaxed, friendly approach, which makes you feel at ease. If you're a first timer at media training, you honestly can't get a better trainer; for people needing a brushup, Bill and Clarity Media will take you to the next level.

We have utilized Clarity Media Group and Bill McGowan for our sales training efforts for the past several years at ION Media Networks. Our training is essentially to better equip our sales team to go out and present our story to the advertising community. To critique the group and allow them to become better and more engaging presenters. Bill is such a seasoned professional in this area that he is very quickly able to pick up on points for our sales staff to improve on and to point out where the staff is particularly strong. He provides pointers and critiques that are thoughtful, helpful, and non-confrontational yet extremely honest. I'd recommend Clarity Media and Bill McGowan without hesitation.

Whether its preparing opening remarks for an televised event, or setting the stage for important dialogues, David masterfully helps his clients find their voice and deliver messages in the most compelling way possible. I LOVED working with him and highly recommend David and the Clarity team.

I worked with Bill McGowan - he is a master. He made me look at presenting to audiences and media interviews in a very different way. And helped me push through sticky areas in my presentation skills in a very effective manner. I loved working with Bill and got so much out of our sessions - skills that I continue to use all the time.

Mariko helped me prepare for my first broadcasted panel event. After meeting with her for a few hours, she helped me come up with a plan, had beneficial tips, provided perspective, and helped me articulate my thoughts and develop my message. The sessions gave me the confidence to go on the panel and drive my points home. She is a great consultant and I highly recommend.

Last month Insider Inc (parent company of Business Insider and Insider) hired David Puente to help prepare its head of technology, Alex Charalambides, for a keynote presentation at an annual internal conference which Axel Springer, our corporate parent, hosts at its Berlin headquarters. David was brought in at the last minute, just days before Alex was to present on-stage. In only one online video session, David was able to be of great help to Alex. David radically improved the presentation itself, making it more engaging, lively, and impactful. Alex benefited just as much from David’s delivery coaching. Alex says that he felt much more at ease, focused, and grounded as a result of his work with David. The results speak for themselves: Alex was delighted by his performance, and the presentation was extremely well received, with Axel Springer’s CEO acknowledging that Alex stole the show that day. Kudos to David for a job well done. Insider Inc looks forward to working with him again in the future.

We had an excellent experience working with Bill and Jodi at Clarity and plan to use them again this year to coach a new group of company leaders. I'd absolutely recommend any new spokesperson or veteran in need of a refresher engage in sessions with clarity - it's a fully worthwhile investment for anyone looking to deliver clear and memorable messages on behalf of their company.

I've worked closely with Melissa Hellen for several years to media and speaker train leaders in all six of our Regions and Comcast's West Division. She trains our external communications professionals as well, because we believe these muscles need to be excercised -- whether it's public speaking, media interviews or influencer engagement.

Melissa's authentic approach and insight quickly garners trust from her trainees. She gets to know the trainees, customizes her sessions and genuinely cares about the participants' progress. It's highly rewarding to see the trainees' evolution from the beginning to the end of the training session.

While I haven't worked with Ken Fuhr as much, I have experienced his media training sessions as well. His professional background as a producer lends credibility to his training and he's able to share interesting examples that help drive his messages home.

Both are exceptional partners.I will continue to hire Clarity Media for this important work, and I look forward to more opportunities in the future.

Melissa Hellen was a indispensable part of the success of one of our recent book campaigns. Not only did she provide excellent coaching for TV and print media for our author, she was patient, personal and empathetic to our author's concerns and fears going into a big media campaign. Despite her busy schedule, Melissa made herself available for in-person sessions and outside encouragement throughout our entire campaign. We couldn't have done it without her!

I cannot say enough about Melissa Hellen and my time working with her. The care, patience, professionalism and deep experience she brought to every session, took me from absolute paralysis and an overwhelming fear of public speaking to where I am today – comfortable getting up in front of crowds and confident in my ability to articulate clear thoughts. Melissa brought an ease and friendliness to each meeting, came prepared with goals and strategies to conquer the next skill, broke down each topic into bite-sized, and easy-to-remember thoughts, and laid out multiple options so I never got stuck forgetting where I needed to go. She was, and remains, an incredible support and gave me the gift of being able to breathe and to trust in my ability to overcome my fears. I cannot recommend Melissa enough. She is truly exceptional.

I’m a publicist who’s appeared on TV on behalf of client and hired to be the MC for many public events in the past 10 years. I thought I was good until I had my first training with David a few years ago and I just can’t tell you enough how much I benefit from that training. It’s not just the techniques that he taught that were useful for any public speaking or interview but also the communication strategy that is priceless and can be used in any situation in life! Highly recommend!! I would train with him over and over again and still can learn something new every time!

Bill was brilliant, Not just because he was so good at what he does but also because he was so good and likable to work with. He helped me prepare for public speeches at benefits for the charity I run (Many Hopes) at the time when we were starting out and then growing and planning bigger events. He had to give pretty direct/harsh feedback in order for me to learn and get better and he did that but he did it in such a way that his constructive criticism increased rather than damaged my confidence. And that's hard to do.

I recently had the immense pleasure of working with Donna Cornachio, who helped me prepare for a couple of media appearances, including one on the Today Show--in other words, high stakes for my career. What's more, I suffer from a fair amount of social anxiety (introvert, camera shy, fear of public speaking, afraid of saying the wrong thing, etc, etc). So while I was relieved that my agency set up an appointment with Donna, I was completely unprepared for how thoroughly her wisdom and guidance would change not only how I approached a couple of interviews, but how I have approached every media event since. Her calm, professional demeanor and her practical, organized approach to preparing me for the events were absolutely indispensable. If I could, I'd see her about once a month just for a brush-up lesson. I'm truly grateful for Donna's help. Honestly, I don't know how I would have done it without her. And the events have, so far, been huge successes. So thank you, Donna. Working with you was such a gift.

I loved working with Ken Fuhr to train our executives! He was extremely prepared and efficient considering we didn't have a lot of time with each of the 5 spokespeople he trained in 2 days.

Five years ago, I arrived at The Wall Street Journal with very little on-stage interviewing and hosting experience. I was given two or three hours with Bill McGowan ahead of that first event. Much of that advice and training sticks with me every time I go on stage. (No card futzing, short, punchy questions, sit up straight, angle yourself towards the audience, I won't give away anymore!)

A mix of on-stage experience and sessions with Bill over the years has made me a much more confident interviewer and presenter. Whether reviewing tape to look at ways I can improve my presentation or brainstorming creative approaches to a sit down chat, I never leave a session without some valuable takeaway.

My peers in the media industry should all be lucky enough to get an hour of Bill's time.
