Ordered 4 items on 11th and eventually received them on the 15th. 3 items were correct but 4th item was missing and they’d sent something completely different. I returned the incorrect item immediately on 15th asking for the correct item to be sent to me. 12 days later had still not heard anything so called customer service. Was told the warehouse which receives returned items can only process refunds so my request for the correct item to be sent was simply ignored. When I said I had not received a refund either, surprise surprise, they told me it had just been processed that day. Having checked my bank account I now discover they have deducted £2.92 postage from my refund for returning an item I never ordered in the first place ! So here I am, 18 days after placing my order, with no trousers and £2.92 out of pocket ! Order administration systems are simply not fit for purpose & I will never order from this company online again.

04-03-20: Like many others have commented, do you not actually read the feedback ? I’d already been in touch with Customer Services. This standard, banal, meaningless, anonymous response you keep posting against customer feedback just proves you are not listening and simply don’t care.

To be fair I wouldn't even offer one star, for almost 4 years I have been trying to get them to stop sending mail out to my dead dad but still they persist in sending it out. Utterly disgraceful

I ordered a jacket, received it and then 2 days later I received the same jacket again. I have been trying to get in touch with customer service for 3 days. I have sent 3 emails and still not had a reply. I need to return the jacket but if I arrange for a courier to collect it I will have pay a charge of £2.99. I have had to return the first jacket because it didn't fit right, so thats cost me £2.99 plus £3.99 delivery, thats £7 I've paid for nothing, the jacket was no good to me. These charges are ridiculous. I will definately not be buying from them again. They say friendly customer service, what a joke. They don't even answer their emails

HARD BITS OF PLASTIC COMING OUT OF SEAMS

Stay away - pants shipped from Great Britain, fit was not right, I had to pay return postage to Great Britain to return. I donated the pants to clothing box.

Wonderful service from cotton traders on two accounts
First although I changed address somehow it didn’t update and my order delivered to an old address. They kindly redelivered
One item did not fit and I returned it but there was no accurate tracking records
By The delivery company who told me to phone Cotton traders.
This was done and they assured me yes I would get a refund and sent me an email to confirm that I would be refunded. Thank you Cotton Traders I will be back!

On the 4th June I tried to use code in a magazine for an order discount. Did not work. So rang the number on magazine, the girl was so slow sorting out my order which I did over the phone.
What a rip off. Go t charged £13.47 via virgin mobile. OK they give the info on their website but it's still outrageous. I have told my disabled wife that I will never, ever use them again. Told her to find a better online supplier.
A disgrace to honest traders. NOT Cotton Traders BUT ROTTON TRADERS!

I ordered a pair of pants on 5/1. The ad said they would be delivered in 10 days. When three weeks went by with no delivery, I emailed customer service and was told the the shipping time is 20 business days. The order still did not arrive. Despite emails and attempts to call customer service and trying to resolve the issue via Paypal. no product and no refund was received. They wanted my credit card number even though I paid with Paypal. They claimed that they were unable to issue a refund through Paypal (???). I have filed a dispute with Paypal, hopefully they will resolve it quickly for me.

I ordered a sweat shirt price 14+3.99 postage when I recieved it it was faulty and sent it back with note to say is faulty they refunded me only £11 means they charged me for postage and return is disgusting.why should I pay postage fer faulty item?

Had catalogue through post offering discount and ordered two items.Trousers fitted but shirt too tight even though same size as previously ordered with no problems and I’m still same size.Sent shirt back with enclosed PO preprinted label(no obvious cost anywhere) within two days. Refunded but charge of £2.95 for carriage.Upshot is have paid £7.00 In carriage extra to advertised cost of trousers and would have been cheaper to buy at full price.Got through to customer service after thirty minute wait and told charge was correct but if I had paid by PayPal return charge would have been refunded by them.
What happened to the Consumer Contracts Regulations?
As you can’t visit their stores and try goods out or return them there for exchange or refund this is bad customer service apart from not adhering to regulations.
Lost me as a customer.

Do not deal with this company if your product is not suitable.My refund is still not through 3 weeks later and my bank is having to take it up as a dispute. They originally made an error on the amount and it was blocked and then constantly told it has been issued.

Don't take their postal insurance 48p it's upto them to get the parcel to you and its a money spinner for them. Loads of out of stock items but they are profiting from your long phone call.

I previously reviewed cotton traders in May after five months of waiting for a reply from them. I have sent numerous e-mails and have only received automated replies. I have telephoned twice and been told someone would call me back and they have not done so. Not impressed. Order Number 0216413477 from January 2020 - am I ever going to receive my pillowcases? Update:. Thank you. Received pillow cases today (22 June).

My wife bought three items including a pair of moccason slippers £24.00, from COTTON TRADERS on the 14th December 2019.
When I tried them on I found that the left one had a pronounced seam on the side of my big toe causing much discomfort.
My wife returned the slippers filling in the returns note explaining they were substandard, faulty & not fit for purpose.
She received a confirmation email on the 23rd Dec 2019 to say she would be refunded £16.25.
My wife emailed Cotton Traders to ask for an explanation as to why she was only refunded £16.25 when the slippers cost £24.00, this email was not answered. She then tried the 'friendly' customer services line but being in her late 70/s did not fare well with the auto answering system so put the phone down.
I am deaf so struggle hearing the conversation on the telephone so could not help.
Three more email were sent but she did not receive any reply to any of them.
Refusing to give up she drafted, on the 04 March 2020 a letter addressed to the CEO of Cotton Traders, requesting they delegate some one to reply to her correspondence by email as we both have problems with telephones, on the 11th March 2020 my wife received....Wait for it...a 'PHONECALL' from Cotton Traders 'friendly' customer services informing her they had got the cost wrong & she would receive her refund.
When the email arrived it informed her she would be receiving a furthur £2.95 & that postage ( £4.80) had been deducted from the final amount.THIS FOR RETURNING FAULTY GOODS.
We are both furious about this as long time customers of Cotton Traders, & will of course be terminating our accounts with them as soon as we have written again to JOHN HAMBLIN MD.

I wanted to return a pair of rib waist jeans by courier collection so went to the My Hermes website to print the required returns label. I had to try 2 separate computers to access the label, then the one I eventually received was unreadable and unusable - no text just computer symbols.
I had wasted considerable time getting an unreadable kabel, and had paid £2.95 as well; in the current crisis that is a loss as financial problems re Covid 19.
I rang customer services, had a long wait but eventually gor through,; unfortunately the assistant was completely unhelpful and REFUSED to send me a readable usable label, which I had paid for but not obtained.
She told me to go to My Hermes website despite the fact I had told her, sveral times, that I had DONE so.
I asked her if I could use the label which had come wit the items - for returning to My Hermes Parcel shop. She said I could NOT do this but must get a label from My Hermes website - I'd already told her it was unreadable and unusable.
I explained I CANNOT get to a My Hermes parcelshop several miles away as I have no transport and public transport is unsafe, esp as I am in a vulnerable group wrt Covid 19 risk.
This was of no help as she continued to REFUSE to send me a readable usable label.
I submitted a formal complaint to CT on 9 June, and again today, but have had NO REPLY.
I shall never use CT again, and advise other customers to avoid it; I have wasted a great deal of time, paid for something but not received it, am now having to consider going out whilst vulnerable to Covid 19 in order to return the item as I need the money asap, and was subject to both an unhelpful assistant and a company which effectively REFUSES to remedy matters by refusing to process a formal complaint. And I have spent money to no avail as the label is unusable.

I placed an order on 4th June 2020 to be delivered by Express Delivery. I received an email from Hermes on 5th June to say that the parcel was on its way. On 6th June at 13.17 I received an email from Hermes saying that the parcel has been delayed and they would have the parcel on the move within 24 hours. As the parcel has still not been delivered and no update from Hermes since Saturday I have tried to contact Hermes without sucess, I the decided to email Cotton Traders on 6th June to ask if they could help locate the parcel. I received an automated email from them stating they had received the email and they would get back to me within the next 3 days at the latest. I am still waiting on a response. This is the second negative review I have posted recently as it seems to be the only way to get any response from Cotton Traders. Not good enough.

Purchased 3 items which arrived today. One item was a second hand pair of shoes (honestly) with ink marks identifying faults plus smelling of cat urine. Mud inside the tread of the shoes, shoe laces fastened and dirt on the outside of the fabric. As a Cotton Gold user I am lost for words.

Thank you for your quick reply COTTON TRADERS, I contacted customer services straight away to lodge my concern and complaint. I will await the findings of their investigation

I bought a tankini and swim shorts in 2 different sizes having returned the set that doesn’t fit I am now on my third phone call regarding my refund , I am very disappointed having bought items from your shops and on line over the years. apart from the fact that cotton traders service is going to the dogs I wonder if the company has financial problems
