Been busy for a couple of months since October 2019

Joined Crunch Parrammata about 8 months ago. i was overweight and I went for all the zumba classes every day and it helped me to kick start my weight loss. worth the money i pay and also i can take a guest with me for free with my membership.

Joined CBD branch and subscribed for PT sessions and paid, no one called to arrange the sessions as promised for 6 weeks and every time ask about, I have been told different reasons as PT are all busy, left the gym, ....etc
after 6 weeks I have asked for a refund or transfer the money I paid towards my membership but they have declined even though they have not provided the service and their regional manager told me that money cannot be refunded or transfer as well ... and they don't care if I have cancelled my membership.
Not sure how this regional manger seriously got this position but definitely they needs heaps of training on how to deal with customers.
he was trying not to come out of his office to talk to me for 20 minutes until I have raised my voice and refused to leave without talking to a manger there.
I have should read all of their reviews on the internet before joining and now understand that heaps of one star rating for them ...
that all plus old and broken machines, lack of maintenance as I have also reported a broken floor tiles on the changing room area with sharp edges as a big hazard but no one even care - useless people

Been member of Bankstown crunch for more than 3 years.....going overseas for long time after 4 weeks so decided to cancel the mebership as i already had paid 4 weeks fee in advance.....i went there nd they said we cannot cancel it today because direct debit of next 2 weeks will b tomorrow and it will take 4 days to clear after that you can cancel.....i was like why would I pay for the next two weeks if i am cancelling before debit date.......i already had paid you till today and for the next 4 weeks but they refuse.....just wanted extra 2 weeks fee so that they can happy there bosses........totally terrible staff always talking on phones and no one is there to help genuinely.....would never come back to that gym again

I've been a member of Crunch for more than 2 years and I am happy with my membership. The staff at both Sydney CBD and Rockdale are all right (except for 1 incident of rudeness), the instructors are good and classes that I attended were fun, the equipment that I occasionally used were working and the toilets are clean ('though in about 3 instances 1 cubicle did not have toilet paper and no sign outside the door saying so - annoying!). Anyway, feedback forms are available near the entrance for issues that need staff/management attention.

I had a spinal injury in Dec 2018 lost everything from neck down. Been slowly miraculously recovering. In around Feb /Mar 2019 I was barely well enough to get a phone call out to crunch to ask them to stop my membership. Nothing was done. They say it must b in writing. But what if u were unable to???? As I was.

Aug 30 I sent an email requesting cancellation. Nothing happened. Debits continued. Last Friday 31st Oct I was assured by regional manager for nsw I would get reimbursed for Aug 30 onwards. Nothing has happened.

I will now take this to fair trading.
If a severe accident cannot get reasonable treatment what Will? Don't waste your money here.

I joined Crunch Fitness in Dee Why when they opened last December. I spoke to the lady at reception and said I’d like to join but my current membership didn’t expire til mid May. She checked with a manager and advised that since they are a new gym they could sign me up and start my membership in May. Great. I was really looking forward to a new gym after twenty years at my old one.

A couple of weeks later I received an email saying this was not possible and my membership would start from 10 January. I didn’t want to pay two memberships for five months so went into Crunch Dee Why and cancelled my membership.

I had paid $76 to sign up and three months later I am still waiting for my refund. I have talked to them at least a dozen times on the phone but still no joy. The problem appears to be with head office. For some reason I had to pay with my credit card but they can’t refund to the credit card or reverse the transaction? I had to give a my bank account number which I did but after six weeks they discovered they had the wrong number. Today, after another six weeks going by, they tell me they can only refund into bank account numbers with eight digits and mine has nine. I thought I’d give them my other account number which is Bendigo Bank, they also have nine digits. Ok, I’ll give them my husband’s St George account no and guess what, they have nine digits too.

How/when am I finally going to get this refund? How can a business get away with treating customers like this? From a business perspective it’s really stupid too. I would have been a very steady customer. It’s ridiculous.

Don’t go there. If you do, I get that’s it’s cheap, double check your bank statements and fight for your refund when they overcharge you.

Ive been a member of Crunch Caringbah for over 3 years. The staff are friendly, the gym & change rooms are clean, the price is fantastic and the crowds aren't too bad.
The only thing that annoys me is that the weights are all in Pounds, but I can get over that.

The Crunch Parramatta run by a racist from England. Hubbard is a tosser and unfit to run a business. Filthy toilets, nothing exciting about the gym

I called up to enquire about my account being over charged and a young girl answered the phone in a rudely manner (Liverpool Branch). While i was talking on the phone, she tried to cut me off by over power talking me on the phone. When i asked her what's her name and then she hung up on me! This ridiculous attitude of your staff is absolutely unacceptable. Very rude and naive young girl who has no idea about good customer service. I am cancelling my gym membership for sure.
