Few days prior to New Year, I had to courier an expensive gift to my fiancée, who is settled in Australia. The major worry was to find a shipping service that takes utmost care of the gift and delivers at the doorstep exactly on time; service rate was not a concern. Then, I came across the Discount Freight, through mouth to mouth advertisement and later searched it on Internet. I made the booking and was surprised to see the shipping rate; it was quite less than what I had thought about.
More surprises were at the store when I heard about successful delivery of the expensive item at the doorstep of my fiancée. Without doubt, Discount Freight is available with most efficient, reliable and convenient means of shipping that too at affordable rate.
I would suggest making an opinionated choice with the company, only because of their virtues.
These are superb in handling Luggage.

After 6 months I realised my parcel hadn't reached it's destination. I contacted Discount Freight. After many phone calls I said I was going to contact Fair Trading. I encourage all people who have been scammed by this man to do so. It appears I am not the only one and with people power and getting the word out there we can stop him from his fraudulent ways.

I sent luggage with this company from Australia to ireland almost 5 months ago and it has not arrived. I have emailed, left voice messages and facebook messages and no one has picked up my calls or responded to my messages. I dont know what to do next?

Paid $70 for delivery of a bed frame from Springvale to Craigieburn, a week later still no bed frame, getting told tomorrow every day for a week and that I must be home to receive delivery is complete b-s when it never shows up, and now they tell me it is most likely lost, instead of telling me this at the start when they knew it was lost they keep b-s ing you along wasting ya time,
I will never buy anything off a company that uses this service again and highly advise everyone not to either

I sent two boxes with this company 9 months ago. I received one and never received the other. I have looked everywhere and done as much as I can to locate this other box but I cannot find it. [personal details removed], has not assisted, will not reply to emails and when I do occasionally catch him off guard on the phone advises me that I probably didnt stick the address on properly to which I reply "I have but even if I hadnt wouldnt they give it back to your company because they would have the paperwork from your company?". His response is "you would think so". He has also asked me twice what does my box look like and I reply with "a brown box" and he tells me that its a shame that it is a brown box because thats hard to find among the other lost brown boxes.... Thats about as far as you will get in regards to help with your lost property. He seems to know the entire contents of my box though, so hes most likely never sent it and has sold my items on ebay. Do not even bother emailing as you will not get a response. I still to date have not received a reply to any email. He will also say I will help you if you take your posts off my company facebook page. Dont believe this for a second.
So if you decide to put your life into two boxes to send overseas maybe pick one box that you dont really want and mark that with "hey [name removed\ please steal this box and send the other one".

Rang and spoke with Philip very nice tool my money to relocate to Ireland pick up was to be 1-4 as now 7pm 16 calls to mobile and email no reply to any voicemails left.
No pick up, money paid and we had to go pay more to get another company as we fly home on sat,
Sure a joke should have red the comments. I'm going to make a complaint to the ombudsman tomorrow

I took the risk (despite the terrible reviews) to hire this company to freight my personal effects from OZ to Europe.
Yes it took 5 months, but overall I have faced a decent customer service and didn't have any trouble.
I chose the cheapest solution, they did the job, I'm happy.

After 10 months no luggage and no responsibility taken on their part. they do not follow the parcels once they leave the warehouse (if they leave the warehouse). no conflict or problem management in place and stonewalling tactics used. the customer is always wrong in their eyes. use someone else if you want to see your stuff again.

Bad service, avoid at all costs

I paid for extra pick up - first day didn't show up. Came super late - like 6 hours with 5 follow up calls.

Told 4-5 weeks. After 6 weeks nothing. Emails, calls, messages, Facebook messages,... Only reply: how does your parcel look like: box or suitcase.

No replies after that. Hasn't arrived after 10 weeks. No replies. Hasn't arrived at all. No tracking possible.

Don't use it. you pay them to steal your items. Dishonest. Worst communication. Late.

I sent a bike to France, and they quoted and accepted it in Melbourne. 18 days later contacted me wanting an additional $140, saying it was bigger than I said. They won't show measurements to even substantiate that. If I don't pay they say I should collect it from Sydney (obviously impossible) and also they will charge me $40/day for storage. Obviously this does not reflect their storage costs as I could store 20 of these on a taxibox for $120 a month, or $6 each so they are charging me a whopping 2000% of the cost to them. It is a vulgar extortion.
