ABSOLUTELY don't rent a car with DoyouItaly (local partner Surprise cars)!.

You pay but don't get a car. You can't reach them and they don't respond!!

Last Monday we arrived at Napoli. We had a delay of about 1,5 hours. After more than an hour searching for their office we could not find it. We asked arround (other car rental companies) no one could tell us where to find the agency. We could not reach them by phone either. There is no number for emergencies.

No where a warning or message that they will be closed at a certain time or what to do in case of delays. It's strange they ask for your flight number and contact details but they don't do anything with it. No call or message at all. In the middle of the night we were helplessely with our family. Since it was late and our hotel was 20 minutes outside of Napoli we had to take a taxi for the double of the rate.

Next morning (after a short and stressful night) we again could not reach the agency by phone. The hotel also tried to reach the agency several times for us. We lost all our hope in DoyouItaly, we still did not know where to find their agency and had no time nor energy left. The hotel advised us to book a new car with a reliable company. Since we just had a short trip we had to rent an other car with an other company.

We had again to take a taxi to go back to airport to rent a car. It was a very expensive and bad experience. They still do not respond on my e-mails.

Doyouitaly Cons: Dont rectify their mistakes, Far too many to list - incompetent, No car given, Useless.
Absolutely don't rent with DoYouItaly!!!

Rubbish company never ever again
I am disabled and have a walking problem so need an automatic vehicle. It was our first time in Italy for a vacation, just 2 days. When we went to collect the car at 8am the office was not open. When the staff member finally arrived he was unapologetic. He stated there was no car for us as the car he wanted to give you was broken yesterday. We asked him why he didn’t call us to save us the trip, he just shrugged his shoulders. He told us to go back to the airport and maybe we’d fund a different car. He offered no refund and said we’d have to call the agent. We lost half a day from our holiday and getting another car last minute cost a lot more. I am still waiting for my refund after numerous calls and emails.

Beware. They do not have the car you paid for and when asked for a refund, it is not the full amount!

Generally, DoYouItaly have been very good and I have used them twice in the past year without a problem in issue-free rentals in Italy.
However, the company has been stubborn and obtuse in the face of the Covid 19 outbreak and measures taken by nations to prevent the spred of the disease by cancelling travel and congregation of people. DoYouItaly has not engaged properly or with understanding in finding a way to refund clients when their flights and travel to the country of impending rental have been arbitrarily cancelled. DoYouItaly has opted instead to refuse refunding rental charger on the basis that the original voucher had underlying conditions of non-cancellation. I called the customer service twice since Friday 13-03-2020 and was urged to see if there were any changes and then finally to accept this, forfeit ¢369.70 and try recourse with the airline for reimbursement. The airline, Ryanair, operating the flight to Italy, has already refunded the monies for the flight that they cancelled on my and other passengers behalf for our own safety.
The staff at DoYouSpain (Italy also) I spoke to were polite but clearly unable to swerve from a very dogmatic and uncompassionate stance from the company.
I found the approach DoYouItaly to be very opportunistic in the face of 'force majeur'.
In light of this, I would not recommend using this rental reseller at all as they have proved to be either ill-equipped to understand crises or ultimately, opportunistic.

So far you have been excellent I had to change my dates for hire a little after the woke full airlines canceled my flight a week out however it was very easy to adjust with yourself without incurring costs which I am pleased with I travel to Italy regularly and can say so far i will use you in the future

After I did my booking for a car to be picked up at Rome FCO, yesterday I have been informed by a Spanish operator that my booking with no reason has been cancelled. The guy was gentle and helpful and he said that he would send me an email with some alternative options; however, until now I did not receive neither an email nor a call from DoYouItaly Customer Service.

Three hours ago I made a reservation, I paid 157,35 partial payment for a car and still have not received the E-mail, conferming the reservation.
