We have seven year old twins and have just bought 2 x Works 24 Early Rider bikes. They have just turned seven and are very tall for their age. It’s their third Early Rider bike, we’ve had the 16 and 20 inch belters.

Best bikes we have come across. They look great and they are superb bikes built by people who obviously know a lot about bikes and trails and what children need. They handle the off road terrain in the Lake District brilliantly!!! Our last ones got so much use and even made a trip to Australia. The 16 and 20 inch bikes were good too, as I could easily carry both bikes over really unmanageable ground and lift them in car easily etc.

I conducted lots of research before buying the Early Rider bikes and now I wouldn’t be without them!!! They cost a bit more than standard bikes but you get what you pay for and they keep their value well and sell easily afterwards.

Highly recommended!!!!

This is my second review after living with the Big Foot 12 for a few months. Our son is 2 1/4, and transitioned from a Strider 12 Pro at around 2. I can honestly say this bike has transformed our lives, and is up there as one of the best things I have bought - at any stage of life! We live near the Early Rider workshop, and our weekends are spent in the woods of South Oxfordshire. The Big Foot allows us to walk for miles on forest trails with our toddler happily keeping up - and often leading the way. I'm constantly amazed at what this little bike can deal with. Our toddler is enthusiastically hopping over tree stumps which would frustrate many adult mountain bikers I know! Every week his confidence grows, and I personally think there is a benefit to chucking small kids on these more challenging bikes at the earliest opportunity. If you love spending family time outside and away from tarmac, I cannot recommend this bike enough. Genuinely life changing.

Great company to deal with and fantastic bike but a shame they use DHL as we were waiting in all day for it to be delivered at 6pm. DPD give an hour delivery window.

Ordered on Thursday before bank holiday, bike arrived on Monday which was great. Communications were spot on. Bike itself is by far and away the best I have seen for this age group and size 20" it is immaculate, you absolutely get what you pay for. Most importantly the rider loves it.

I had been looking to get a bike for my 3 year olds birthday present, seeing as he has been balancing on his balance bike & cruising since he was 18 months. Seeing his older brothers & me on our bikes, made him want his own pedal bike. After searching around, I couldn't find a better bike for him than the Early Rider Seeker 14.

After 4 days of getting used to the new bike size, weight, brakes & general feel of it, he was riding on his own at just 3 years & 23 days. It's a family record!

The bike itself looks beautiful & has high quality components. Even the headset is better than those found on many adult bikes: it looks like a pro bike headset. The brakes are powerful yet easy for my 3 year old to use. It is very light and fairly easy to carry when my son gets tired (only when going uphill). We also opted for the slightly more expensive off road tyres found on the Seeker & I have no regrets: my boy can also enjoy some off road trail action without slipping & sliding everywhere.

Although at first I was against spending so much money on a 3 year olds bike (£310 is a lot of money), I have to say it is worth every penny. I researched many bikes (frogs, Squish, Hoy etc) and none were as light or as well spec'd as the Seeker 14, yet were only slighly cheaper. So although very expensive, the price reflects the quality. We asked the family to all chip in for it for a bday present. I also knew that my son would use his bike everyday as he was so keen and advanced on his balance bike.

If your child is really into bike riding, or if you can afford it, then I would 100% recommend Early Rider bikes. I really don't think you will find a better bike than this for young riders. I should also add that their customer service is amazing & all th estaff were helpful & very friendly. It's a bonus when you know you're supporting a British company that is doing such a great job.

Despite the price, I am giving the Seeker 14 a 5 star rating, as the bike is truly amazing & the Early Rider customer service is excellent.

My son has had the Belter 16 Trail (same as Belter 16 but with knobbier tires) for the last two years, since before he turned 4. After being on a balance bike since he was 20 months old he had been ready for a pedal bike for a while.
I went for this bike because its light weight and shorter length (shorter than my daughter’s Trek Precaliber 16), which helps maneuvering it. Also, the components and the simplistic beautiful look (looks like an adult bike but mini, not like a kid’s bike).
When the DHL van promptly arrived with the big box my son was in disbelief and very excited, and his eyes never widened as much when he finally saw the bike. Putting it together was simple. Screw on the pedals, mount the cockpit, adjust angle of brake levers, height of saddle and that’s it. It didn’t take more than 10 minutes.
At the park, it took my son one push and he was on his own pedaling. He has enjoyed this “Silver Bullet” tremendously and not only he has learned to skid on both sides, he has increased his desire to ride and confidence. He just recently cleared a set of stairs at the park where we usually go. The fact that it is a lighter bike has allowed him to come with me to some trails, and thanks to the cranks’ ratio this bike just flies (compared to most other 16” bikes I have seen around). This is the bike I would have loved to have when I was his age and it turns heads anywhere and everywhere we go despite its non-flashy design. It just looks legit. And it is.
A former Eastern European Olympian cyclist stopped me yesterday at the park to ask me about it. He is going to buy ours as we are ready to upgrade to the 20”. Question is: should I go with the Seeker 20” or with the front suspension and hydraulic brakes one??
Dealing with Early Rider was also amazing. I exchanged a couple of emails with them and they were prompt to respond and genuinely caring. Love this company and their products.

Wonderful service from Beccy and would highly recommend their bikes - we have a Belter 20 and a Works 24 and they are in a different league to the bikes their friends ride.

Bought the Belter 14 for my 3yr old to ride and I think this bike is awesome. Smooth to ride, effortless peddling and he is flying on it. The slightly fatter tyres are brilliant and handle amazingly well on tarmac, dirt trails and everything we’ve found in between. We’ve used the bike everyday for the last 6 weeks and it seems robust, the belt seems to work well and seems pretty durable, hopefully I’ll be saying the same thing in a few months time. The bike is so smooth, easy to ride and it looks the part. My son loves it!

The reason why I didn't give 5 stars is that they used to have many more parts and spares before and now only a few.
