I ordered at this store because the merchant had a good reveiw rating. I ordered the Canon SD500 and just like most of the negative write-ups with other stores, this store emailed me that there was a problem with the order so please call. I have already gone through this process with two other discount online stores and recognized the drill. I responded with an email to either fill the order or cancel it but I would not be calling. No surprises, the order was cancelled.
I guess you get what you pay for (or try to pay for).

Ordered thursday night, I called them friday like the email they sent me said to do, I had listed the wrong name on the credit card, and they changed it for me. They tried to sell me a case and a memory card, they were very polite, but I declined and they didn't argue or get rude. I got an email, and later that day it shipped. I wasn't at home that tuesday when Fedex came, so I went and picked it up. Everything was included that was listed came with it from other more expensive sites like dell. Best store I found with free shipping, and fast at that.

At first had an issue with a salesman trying to hard-sell unnecessary add-ons to my ordered product, and cancelled the order, but received a call back from a manager who suggested that the salesman's behavior was against their policy, apologized, and made it right. Every company makes mistakes, but not many will go out of their way to fix it when they do!

I ordered a Canon Optura 40 via the phone. I knew if I used the online order they would only call to "confirm". The saleman was polite and tried to sell me some additionaly items which I declined. He was not pushy, just doing his job.

I placed the order on Tuesday morning and had the camera on Thursday using the cheapest shipping they offer.

I would recommend them only if you already know what you want and will not have to return (15% restocking fee). But their price was excellent, ten dollars cheaper than the next reputable dealer.

I purchased the Nikon P100 the other day. Beside having an unbeatable price, the service I received was outstanding. I also got my camera practically over night! I would buy continue to shop at Electric sam and will also recommend it to all of my family.

I ordered a d3100 combo pack on 12/12/12. On 12/18 I still had not received an email saying they had even processed the order. I called them up and after hanging up and trying about 5 more times I finally talked to someone who then transferred me to the packaging department. I could not get an answer on the phone. I tried again the next day and finally talked to someone who knew something about my order. He told me that the bundle did not come with a battery. I had to add that because the camera is obviously useless without one, which was $60. Why does a bundle come with a case, tripod, memory card, etc. and no battery?! I wanted it by Xmas and that would have been possible for free if they had shipped it within the "24-48" hours they had promised. I had to pay an extra $40. I also got UV lenses. My total jumped from $518 to $670. What pissed me off the most is that if I hadnt talked to someone, god only knows when it would have shipped, and it would have shipped without a battery. I WILL NEVER DO BUSINESS AGAIN WITH THESE MORONS AND WILL TELL EVERYONE TO STAY FAR AWAY UNLESS THEY LIKE BABYSITTING PEOPLE WHO PROCESS THEIR ORDERS!!!

I ordered a Nikon D5000 through Electric Sam, and much like other reviewers, I was given the order confirmation email but it never progressed beyond that. I waited, but did not receive any additionals emails. After two weeks, I called and decided to go through the customer support line. I was put in queue and waited for over an hour with no response. I hung up and immediately called and went through the sales line and my call was answered within seconds. I promptly cancelled my order.

I placed a order with this company On the 2/5/04 over the internet late at nite. The first thing the next morning I called to conferm my order, and by that nite I had a tracking # and it was on its way. I recieved my camera on the 2/8/04. I am very pleased with the shipping, service, and my new camera! The price was great, I would do business here again. Thank you ElectricSam!

I was somewhat hesitant to order from this merchant because the price was as low as most un-reputable dealers prices are, but their high rating on reseller ratings made me take a chance.

I placed the order during passover at which time they were closed as their website clearly stated. Once regular business resumed I called them to confirm the order as their automatically generated email requested.

That was when I found out that there was an issue with my credit card (my fault it seems). The representative was polite and took in the correct information. He was even kind enough to upgrade the order to three day shipping for no extra charge.

I can't say I have any complaints about this merchant, and if all goes well I will be shopping with them more in the future.

I ordered a Canon XA10 on Sept. 27th, with an expected shipping time of 24 to 48 hours. My order never progressed from the "new" order area to the "shipped" order area on their website. I called and sent emails for about three weeks. I finally got a phone call answered on October 15th. The gentleman told me that they had sent me two emails explaining that "they had to confirm the order prior to shipping", and that the item was back-ordered. The only email that I had received from them was the order confirmation. I asked why they did not call me and he explained that they had been closed for holidays.... For the last 18 days, I asked. He explained that they had only been open for a couple days in that period. He then explained that my camera did not come with the battery, charger, software, connection cables, or the handle. These items were about $300 extra. I cancelled my order and I would highly recommend not doing business with electricsam. They should change their name to electricScam!

Order was incomplete, unable to reach anyone by phone during business hours for days. No due date (if any) of missing items on the paperwork or Email responses. Response had a 24 hour window to claim missing/damaged items. They appear to be closed all the time. Customer Service called to confirm order 5 minutes after being placed by the internet, which was impressive. Looking back, this was probably due to a poor telephone system that mostly hangs up or if your one of the few, long wait times, then the hang-up. Problem resolved as of 22 Apr04. Calling the first part of the 3rd week bore no fruit. One week I got a girl who said the part was back ordered and would be in next Tuesday. The following Wednesday first time, I got the same circle of departments via the computer then the hang up. The second attempt, I got the owner. He was very apologetic and called back in 5 minutes saying he had the part and I should have it by 3pm the next day. He was a man of his word. In all fairness looking back. The computer system must be tied to sales, shipping and vender due-in's. I was informed that they had to walk to shipping to determine what had happened to my part, what the due-in date was and when it would ship. The Email responds was non-existant. The phone system acted like several different systems. One time sweet, bang on... Other times a wild goose chase with few choices and very kirt. The voice and available respondses were also different. The Owner was very respondsive and sympathetic to my needs and rectified the problem. To survive in todays business, good prices is but one leg of business. With poor Customer Service and Poor shipping controls, good prices alone will not sustain a business

Put the order for Nikon D5100 SLR at 12/30/11. Got it on 1/10/12. The patage does includes everying as it says online.

Excellant prices: I purchased a Nikon 4300 and ElectricSam's price was more than $50 lower than the next lower vendor. The camera was delivered earlier than promised. I will definately order from ElectricSam again

I ordered a Panasonic DMC-FZ5 camera from them on the 7th of July. They sent me an email saying I had to call them to verify my address and billing information, so I called them the next day on lunch (They're only open 8-4 Central Time M-F). My order was shiped that same day, and arrived On Monday the 11th. I had to pick it up from the local FedEx center, since they won't leave it on the porch (A good thing in my opinion).
Overall I'm very pleased with the transaction.

One thing to note: When I called to verfiy they put me on hold but didn't have any hold music, you just have to wait through the silence.

I ordered a nikon d5100 and the next day got an email saying I needed to call to verify the order before it shipped, which I was actually thankful for because I ended up canceling my order. As soon as I called they tried to get me to buy a battery and charger for the camera saying that the camera only comes with a 30 minute single charge battery. I said no I didnt want to buy the battery. he said I needed a battery or the camera wouldnt work. I made sure he wasnt just trying to sell me an extra battery and he said no that the camera only came with a 30 minute single charge battery and wanted to sell me either a 2 hr battery for $40 or a 5 hr battery for $60 and IF I added that to my order today they would throw in the battery recharger for free. so I asked one final question..."so your telling me that if I buy this camera package from anywhere else it doesnt automatically come with the 660 shot battery that I see advertised everywhere?" he said that is correct. so I told him to put my order on hold and I will get back to him. so of course everywhere else I saw that camera online and in store it comes with the rechargeable lithium ion battery and quick charger. needless to say I took my business else where and bought from a more reputable place. BUYER BEWARE. they have great prices, but it is because the kit doesnt include all that you need and then they try to sell you other stuff separate. it is better to buy from somewhere else that actually has a true factory sealed box which includes everything.

I placed an order for a battery grip for a Canon T2i which showed in Stock. This was almost 3 weeks ago. When I logged in to see my order the status showed as "backorder". I sent a couple of emails trying to get some info about this and never got a response. Finally I decided to call and cancel my order...my call got through at my first attempt so that was a plus. The person who cancelled my order whom was very rude by the way and which I found out is NOT working for this company anymore (another big plus) processed my cancelation very quick and I received an email right away with the cancelation info.

After this first shopping experience with this seller, which was not very pleasant, I received a call from a customer service rep. This time it was a world of difference and now I am beginning to believe they go that extra step in customer satisfaction and do care about their business. Can't beat their prices so I am considering in giving this seller another chance. Just a word of advice...something I always do but for some reason I forgot this time...call first or send an email and ask if what you are trying to buy is in stock, which probably it will be (if it appears in stock in their website) since my order was never processed probably from the same guy which I initially spoke to cancel my order. I'll update this review once I place another order and see how it goes this next time.

First and last time using this dealer. Nothing but problems. Placed order by phone on Sunday morning. It was difficult to understand the salesman but I managed. The items were instock...lots of them. Within 1 hr. I received an order number, but I never received a tracking number. The Olympus Stylus 410 was to be shipped Priority mail on Monday. I sent two emails and they never responded. Friday arrived and I called them. They had never shipped it nor had they called me or sent any emails explaining the delay. I finally cancelled the order and called Bestpriceaudiovideo.

I had a major problem with their sales tactics and honestly felt deceived but I received a call from the manager the next business day who apologized, took care of my concerns, fixed the issue, assured me that wasn't the way they do business and restored my purchasing experience to a more positive one. I am glad ElectricSam is concerned about their reputation and took initiative to resolve my issues rather than ignoring them. While I write this I only have promises and believe me, I will definitely post if those promises are not followed through but I have every confidence they will be. ElectricSam was very fast in shipping my order and it seems also very fast in correcting any issues. I will definitely consider purchasing from them again in the future.
