The non-fault claim is still on going (6 months from date of accident). There are two separate solicitors dealing with the cost of the personal injury claim and the cost of the accident repair. Communications are poor with regards to recovering the cost of personal injury compensation agreed. The other solicitors are keen to recover the cost of the repair, which was unbelievably confusing from the outset. Elephant would benefit from having a claims handler that deals with both sides, the personal injury and the arranging of the short term hire / courtesy vehicle and repair of the damaged vehicle. I would rather pay more for less hassle. I paid the extra for the legal protection and a replacement vehicle in the event of an accident. It seems like they have collected their premium, now they have their money they're not that interested in compensation when trying to recover cost i.e. new car seat (£350) that I had to pay out the following day for my two year old daughter. My advice, if you have an alternative company who offer a similar service / level of cover, go with the alternative company and save yourself the hassle when you need it least!!!

Cheap quote spoilt by greedy insurance firm charging £19-95 to remove cherished plate and a further £19-95 to swap from one car to another!! will never use again whatever the price!!!

Hi, last year when I went for this deal with elephant insurance company, after a month one of your advertiser called me saying there is a chance I can pay less, I work for a car company and I was about to get a company car, but then it didn't happen, so I said to the lady no there is no need for discount, then a month later I found out I won't get a company car, so I called elephant back asking for less payment because a months ago someone called me that there is a chance for that, and that someone said no it's too late. Is there any chance I can claim some money back? Thank you in advance.

After a non-fault accident i was promised a car on the day and to not go through with the claim with LV insurance (the insurance company of the driver to blame for the incident), even though they were able to send a car to my house later that evening. after several calls with elephant insurance, telling me to call different car hire providers, i have now 4 days after the accident still not got a courtesy car, despite the fact that they promised me one each day.. I am very dependent on having a vehicle, something i informed Elephant insurance about, however, they have failed miserably... I would not recommend Elephant insurance to anyone after this, as when you need them they are unable to uphold they promises. Seems like the smarter insurance company to choose would be Liverpool Victoria, as they would have been able to provide me with a vehicle on the day, had not Elephant insurance told me to not do it through them...

After a year with elephant I found cheaper insurer. I've received letter from elephant stating that if they will not here from me, my policy will be cancelled and I don't need to do anything. after my policy has finished i've got another letter from elephant statin that because I didn't informed them of not renewing policy i need to pay £116.68. Worst Insurer ever.

My son had a "not at fault" accident over 3 months ago when someone ran into the back of his car. He reported the incident to Elephant who the put him in contact with a third party company to handle his claim. He had to sign a credit agreement with this company that effectively made him responsible for all costs if they failed to recover the costs. He did this and an agreement was made swiftly with the insurer of the person who hit him and a settlement figure agreed. My son now is having to chase the insurer of the driver who hit him to try and get his money, Elephant and their repair management company Auxilis are nowhere to be seen in all of this. He still hasn't received a penny and has been without a car for three and a half months. In my experience your insurance company should deal with the whole process from start to finish including securing the agreed payment. Elephant and their management partners are shocking, truly disgraceful and we are currently looking at taking some legal action and escalating this just on principle.

I have just MOT’t my car and realising that the annual mileage I chose on my policy would not be enough so I contacted my insurance company. Being a new driver my premium was nearly £2000 this I reluctantly accepted but to increase my annual mileage by 4000 has just cost me another £60, a friend of my paid £1 per 1000 miles plus £25 administration fee. I was told that someone would call me back to discuss the change but I received and email saying the premium would be taken from my bank account, no discussion just a demand, I will be shopping around when my policy has expired.

I was very pleased with how easy it was to arrange my car insurance out with Elephant.co,uk. This was the first car I insured myself and found it all very easy to proceed with thanks to the excellent service advisor on the phone being very helpful. Elephant insurance company is not great they slack customer service and plus the service is not great I do regret going with them from the beginning they say they can provide you with First class service which is a CLEAR LIE the management do not communicate with you as a customer if you have a problem when there customer support can't do much I just think I have had a bad experience with elephant until you try them you won't be able to tell for yourself overall I think they are very poor in every way!!

Diabolical service dealt with that many call handlers one doesn't know what the other one is doing. Also different notes are put on each callers system which makes it even more confusing and the caseworker who processed it from the beginning must be the invisible man as we can never track him down or hes getting paid too much as hes always on holiday also there's never a manager available. Overall we are at the end of our tether with hour long phone calls each time. Definately wouldn't recommend this service to anyone. One frustrated customer. ????

had an accident that wasnt my fault and i had recovery car, they ask me to pay 90£ to collect the car and the car was only 6miles away from home .. im waiting for them to collect my car since wednesday to repair and till now they didnt gave me a courtesy car they say i have to wait to for them to collect the car and make a quote. thats not fair they should gave a courtesy car since the accident

HELLO/ elephant.co.uk IS THE BEST INSURANCE I HAVE HAD, WHEN I STARTED MY POLICY THEY GOT MY NO CLAIMS BONUS FROM MY LAST INSURANCE PEOPLE, WHATS GET IS I CAN JUST PUT MY POLICY NUMBER IN ON-LINE AND I CAN PRINT OUT A COPY OF MY POLICY ANYTIME I WANT, IT IS SO EASY PLUS I DID GET STOPPED BY THE POLICE JUST A NORMAL ROAD SIDE CHECK AND I COULD PULL UP ON MY SMART PHONE MY INSURANCE POLICY AND THEY HAD A CABIN AND IN THERE THEY HAD A PRINTER ALL I DID WAS FIND THE MAKE OF THERE PRINTER AND CLICK THERE PRINTER, PRINTED OUT MY POLICY I WAS AWAY IN 4 MINUTES. AND NOT LIKE OTHER COMPANY'S I HAVE FULL NO CLAIMS, AND MY INSURANCE STILL GOES DOWN EVERY YEAR . I WILL BE WITH ELEPHANT UNTIL I CAN NOT DRIVE ANY MORE. J.CREGG

Took out a policy 1 year ago and paid around £750. I have had no claims on my insurance or incidents and I received my renewal through at £1,600 so I called to say what a joke that was and they brought it down to £1,350. I went with another company (obviously) and got my insurance for £700. They could not give me an explanation as to why it was so expensive. My policy ended with elephant and I told them I didn't want to renew and they sent me a letter to say due to my "cancellation of policy" (even though it had ended and I had notified them) I owe £2,700!! They said it was an error but I think they are just a con. They also automatically renew your policy and store your details from previously unless you notify them which they do not make clear. I have never had so many problems before with a car insurance company!!

Long standing customer of over 8 years but wont be renewing.  2 stars as when I did make a claim (not my fault) they dealt with it well and in a timely fashion.  Gave me a quote of 701 (yearly price) which made it more expensive than last year (60 a month, paying monthly) when they added the percentage for paying monthly.  I did a price comparison on a well known site. It came back with a price of 420 a year or 40 a month including credit interest. This was for exactly the same cover (which I checked thoroughly), it even had less excess if I did have a claim. So I contacted elephant, who immediately reduced their price to 520 a year (50 odd a month paying monthly).  So my question is if they can offer this lower price straight away why dont they when they quote you your renewal price. I'm technical enough to do a quote online but many arent, imagine all those people paying more money as they cant haggle with a lower comparison quote. I have like 2/3 weeks of cover left with elephant, then I'm switching. Every year I will now switch, there is no bonus to being loyal with most companies anymore.

Mistakes in invoicing / billing left me uninsured for 10 days without my knowledge. Elephant did correct this and restart my insurance, but it shouldn't have happened. Renewal time came and again they ignored my call to change my address, send the renewal to an old address, leaving me (again) unisured for a few days. Pretty bad overall and not the best price.

While I was checking my bank statement, I have noticed that ELEPHANT.CO.UK has taken £1,004,64 from my bank account without my consent on the 31st of December 2019I am very disappointed and concerned about ELEPHANT CO.UK. dealings with their customers. Even though I have not informed ELEPHANT CO.UK. about continuing my insurance policy for 2020, ELEPHANT CO.UK. has taken the liberty to take £,1004,64 from the bank account, which I believe that ELEPHANT CO.UK. should not taken any unauthorised payment from my account at all. I would not like to purchase any of ELEPHANT CO.UK. products now or in the future as ELEPHANT CO.UK. is taking advantage of your customer’s trust and charging them the amount which was not authorised.

Terrible kept me on phone for 28 mins just to change my policy onto a new car I bout which cost me a fortune Tok three atemts on callin as one couldn't understand me and the other hung up on me once my policy is up for renewal I'm going to a different insurance company .

Long story cut short: Uninsured driver with no insurance and driving a car that wasn't hers...crashed into my ex partner. The other driver claimed they were just a passenger in car with their partner who was driving. They made claims for injury not knowing that we had the incident on CCTV. We provided the evidence that proved the fraud and incident details. The police have also seen it and begun an investigation. However ELEPHANT decided they couldn't be bothered to investigate, ignored all the evidence and just paid out the fraudsters in full!!! Then just said they don't have an investigation department. They have disgusting attitudes on the phone and couldn't care less about their customers. They are the reason why insurance premiums are so high. Joke of a company
