Avoid!!!
Got charged for a parking ticket a day after I returned the car - because I was “the last customer” that used it. Clearly remember parking in correct bay, have requested a proof of me leaving the car in wrong bay but got nothing back, just a “you were the last customer” so you have to pay. They could not prove that it was me who left the car in that bay the day before, just presented me with pictures of a car the day after. What a joke!! I was in a process of disputing it while they took money out of my account without a permission. To top it off I have seen their staff move cars around before, as my flat is facing one of the parking bays. AVOID!!! They will steal your money!!!

I would give this scam of a company 0 stars if I could. Read on for an absolute horror story:

We booked a car for a holiday from 25th June 2022 to 28th June 2022. The car was booked in advance. I received an email under 24 hours before I was due to take the car telling me the car was not available and that there were no alternatives. I received little to no empathy over the phone or via email. We had to arrange alternative transportation at the last minute, which turned out to be much more expensive. I had to pay this out of pocket because Enterprise was still holding onto the funds made for the car (which they cancelled). We booked the car at a specific time to get to our destination as early as possible. But we ended up arriving late and lost out on one full day of vacation time.

On 30th June I booked another car. But the car wouldn't start. I made two bookings with the same car and both times the car didn't start. Once again, we were late for our meeting and had to rush to find alternative means to travel.

On 1st July, we booked a car for about 5-6 hours for local errands and to drop some family to the airport. The postcode provided on the Enterprise system was wrong, so we had to find the right address, which was an additional 15-minute walk. We finally got to the bay and the car wasn't there. Half an hour into my booking I get a call from Enterprise offering an alternative car. I then walk another 10 minutes to the replacement car. The alternative car was not fit for purpose because it didn't have enough capacity for the luggage to the airport. But I had no choice but to take the car as there wasn't another option. I later realised there is no way this car is fit for purpose and had to drop it to the bay early and make my way home, all rushing so that my family members wouldn't miss their flight. We had no choice but to book an Uber which turned out to be more expensive.

On 18th July, I booked a car for an airport run. I got to the car and it wouldn’t start. This was past midnight.

Had to book alternate travel means at the last minute.

And guess what? After all this, they send me an invoice. The nerve.

Things have been going wrong with Enterprise from the very start. The staff have shown no accountability or empathy for the situation.

All I was offered was £25 credit as compensation for trip 1. Do you honestly think that is sufficient?

Last email communication was 5th July. Still haven't heard back.

They don't care.

Hopeless service. A very unreliable operation.

I've had too many occasions of cars not being at their collection points, cancelled/amended bookings for vehicles that are a taxi rise away, missing equipment (charge cards etc.) and faulty charge points.

Above all the customer service, or rather lack of, from ECC support team has been appalling. Il equipped staff who have shown little empathy for the countless missed/late appointments as a result. I've found some staff to be quite argumentative and defensive over the phone.

Compensation was offered but not enough to cover the severe inconvenience.

Every booking has felt like a gamble. As a result I have now cancelled my membership.

Had an awful experience with this company. Wouldn't recommend.

Impossible to sign up as someone who has just moved to the uk. Rude / incompetent customer service. Asked why dont you just use Zip car... took a train to London to get Aus licence approved then told that they dont accept overseas bank cards, get a uk bank card but then wont accept that until u have bank statements proving you have lived at the address for 3 months. Giving up

Joining the car club was an fabulous experience and the customer service was brilliant and couldn't fault any part of hiring the vehicle for originally 2 days and then extended it to 3 via the app.

I was over charged more than £30 twice and the staff were less than helpful. It took a lot time to get a refund. Will not use again

I had to walk 3 blocks to find the car as it was not it the location that it should have been. I had to take a smaller car and it was not appropriate for my use. I returned it early.

Customer service is generally good, but recently they have been replacing automatic cars with manual cars which I think is not very inclusive to those who have automatic licences or just prefer the ease of driving an automatic especially in London traffic. I have noticed that nearly all the cars (estates, 7 seaters and large cars in near me (SW London) are being replaced with Ford Fiesta’s or similar sized cars. I thought you were supposed to offer a range of cars for members to use but increasingly you are excluding more and more people, those that have large families, those that need to carry large items and those who can only drive automatic. It’s a shame because I enjoy using EnterpriseCC but Zipcar is looking more attractive by the week.

I recently used my car club membership to take some friends to an Alpaca Trekking experience. Booking the car was a breeze, it was easy to collect and when I had some trouble with the car I spoke with a car club representative who was able to help me get on my way quickly. I was able to easily extend my reservation using my app when we were running late (it turns out alpacas are not fast walkers). Would recommend a membership to anyone!

I rated enterprise 4 stars because it easily accessible and reasonable prices.

I canceled this because I was told it would include £1.75 per mileage charge and as I planned to travel at least 120 miles = £120 it was a no no.
Your estimated costs are not clear at the time of booking.

Website to sign up didn't work, driving licence was rejected at first for reasons unclear, staff on telephone were rude, electric car picked up with a mostly empty battery, no instructions for returning car to charging point.

I let them know and they didn't even pretend they were going to try and improve things.

All happened as planned and nice to be able to extend the booking by 15 minutes when I was running late. One downside was returning the van, I found what to do with the key a bit confusing.

The only reason I gave one less star was due to the fact that I had to payou £10 extra as I need tof be able to hire a car straight away. Car was top of the range and every interaction I have had with a member of the team was good. The overall choice of cars in my arearly was great (and one of the main reasons why I picked enterprise over all levels others). On my first reservation a document was provided to explain how to get the car started (this was really helpful as my old car is over 20 years old!) Was definitely value for money and is definitely something I would recommend to friendsee and family looking at cars hire.

Flexible car hire - lots of choice within 10 minutes walk. Staff helpful for initial sign up. Takes a bit of time to get used to different cars.

I liked the hybrid very much, but a week an half later had phone call saying i damaged it. which i definitely did not.
