We found Four Seasons Conservatories via an internet search promising to deliver top service, quality and everything else you would wish for to draw you in.

We paid 20% deposit up front and then after about ten weeks they got a company to build the base 5.4x3m. Ran by a man called Dan.

They used standard polystyrene for insulation, I was none the wiser at the time, but found out later they should of used Kingspan. Months later I decided to extend our patio I made more alarming discoveries. I found they had laid one side of the bricks 60% over the edge of the base and into the mud. Also the base was only 13cm deep instead of the MINIMUM 40cm that it should have been for full length windows (no dwarf wall), which is was just shocking!!

A few weeks later Direct Conservatories 4 U (a lovely company to deal with) delivered the conservatory in early September and then the fun really started. We rang the sales rep first who calls himself ‘Peter’ and he kept fobbing us off saying he would get this ‘Dan’ to contact us about building it up and he never got back to us and would not answer the phone. Not long ago I learnt that DC4U will NOT deal with Four Seasons any more due to the way they treat their customers.

I ended up ringing Dan daily and emailing every few days to get an answer and after a handful of excuses he and his labourer eventually turned up around 20th November 2021 to start construction. Looking into his eyes I could see straight away that this was going to go wrong, he looked like the wrong stuff & did not want to do the job.

So when he started building the frame he built it out of square and wondered why he could not get the end post in, because he built is crooked it and was 7cm out of square, plus he cut the sill too short at the front and he denied it, even though there were offcuts in the skip. He walked off site blaming the frames being the wrong size leaving my partner very upset.

In the end I binned him off to prevent more damage to the goods & we hired a genuine professional based in Witney. I then just had to arrange another piece of sill, the plastering, floor self levelling, electrics & so forth.

So, have Four Seasons EVER existed as a genuine company? Could it be that they are a false entity in which someone is hiding behind, using false office bases & locations? Four Seasons website has since disappeared around August time. Were there others involved (Peter the sales rep?) and he is in cahoots with the company who did our base? Could it be that the company who built our base be behind the whole thing? I am confident but cant be 100% sure either way.

Tried contacting the Consumer Helpline who are part of Trading Standards, they guided me in sending pre court letters & warnings (letters would bounce straight back). However to this day I still pass along information in hope...

Solicitors are ridiculous money & it leaves me and many other customers upset, dreams broken, out of pocket & nowhere to go!

By doing some research, looking at other review sites (Here on Trust Pilot mainly) it looks like they have operated under these names in the past

Prestige Conservatories & Orangeries
South Downs Conservatories
Cole Thomas Conservatories
Lifestyle Conservatories & Orangeries
Apex Conservatories

Also recently three MORE companies with identical websites have appeared, I am sure there could be some affiliation, due to all the hallmarks, so just be AWARE:

AJ Conservatories & Orangeries
Designer Conservatories & Orangeries
Seascape Conservatories & Orangeries

It seems that they are advertising the same pitch as the aforementioned companies. 30% off, 4.77/5 on the reviews & so on.

Couldn't agree more with the four reviews above. We wish we had seen these before we were sucked in to their false website photographs and reviews when we started this project one year ago. Their Facebook page has recently been taken down - along with awful Trust pilot reviews. We've had the units spread around the garden and existing conservatory since August and waiting for a recommended installer to finish the job. You live and learn!

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!!

They make a nice sales pitch, take your money and contract out all work without any contact once deposit is taken. The "Partner" Dan is unreachable and Mark non-existent despite paperwork stating they are a caring family run business. DO NOT TRUST THEM! The website reviews are false.
Speak to any of their contractors to find out the truth about these cheats!

We got a quote from this company in Feb 2020. Price was reasonable and the ‘surveyor’ was accommodating to our needs. However he failed to spot the asbestos in the wall and that we needed a steel joist despite us asking that question. We checked them out and unfortunately didn’t find the reviews below. After lockdown we recontacted Four Seasons who honoured their quote. They said work would start in 4-6 weeks (October half term). It didn’t. Nothing happened until the middle of December when they demanded £15,000 to pay for the conservatory or else it wouldn’t be delivered. I spoke to the Surveyor who was incredibly rude to us. Two men then came and removed the old conservatory.. We were told that their would be back to put up the new conservatory on the 4th January. No one turned up for weeks and Four Seasons were completely uncontactable with every phone call and email going unanswered. Eventually 2 fitters turned up and put up the conservatory. They failed to alert the company to missing pieces which then incurred a charge which we refuse to pay. We started the process
again with the electrician and plasterer with no one turning up and our messages going unanswered. A massive pile of dangerous rubbish was left in our garden leaving it unusable and saying that he had booked a skip (which never turned up). When the plasterers did come they realised we needed a steel and the work stalled again. Our house was left with a wooden pole holding up the brick layer and a promise they would be back. They haven’t come back. They have said Four Seasons refuse to pay them for the extra work and travel so it isn’t worth their time and effort to come back and finish the job. We’ve also had to pay out for our own skip and have £100 worth of plasterboard we need to get rid of as it was left outside and is now unusable.
Why any of their subcontractors work with them is beyond me as apparently this is what they do to everyone of their customers. We are currently £2500 out of pocket with no end in sight.
We have tried repeatedly to get in contact with them and are now taking them to court as they’ve left us in a dangerous state and taken money for work never completed.

Stay well away.

I've given 1 star, but to be honest I wouldnt give them even that. Had a conservatory built in Oct 19 for £9200. In Nov when the bad weather came in is when I first started noticing problems. It hadnt been sealed so water was getting in. The frame itself has a massive crack in it. The door doesn't close properly so there is a big gap. Trunking doesn't even reach where it is supposed to. Drain isn't connected to guttering. End cap missing. The list goes on. Naturally I contacted them and after realising I wasnt after buying a conservatory but rectifying the problems with this one, they ignored me. So I guess if you want an extremely poor standard conservatory, with a non existent 10 year guarantee, use this company. Laughable that they use the word 'Luxury. Please contact me for photos of said 'luxury conservatory', more than happy to supply.
