I travelled with my 82 year old mother who had last been to Islay on her honeymoon 58 years ago. The flight from Glasgow to Islay was excellent, however due to a delay of our flight home from Islay of eleven hours, our experience was decidedly poor, since, as a direct result of the delay we missed our connecting flight to
Gatwick, even though we had factored in 6 hours at Glasgow to meet up with family and visit mum’s hometown. We had to purchase further tickets in order to get home with no prospect of compensation. The only compensation we did get, was £10 in vouchers to spend on the limited food and drink available at Islay airport. We eventually made it home 16 hours after we had arrived at Islay airport, tired, disappointed, angry and considerably out of pocket through no fault of our own. My mum feels she has no prospect of getting back to see her hometown again and she’s desperately sad about that.

I booked 2 flights for Florida next year with British Airways after my others with Thomas Cook went bad along with TC. Good prices for Premium Economy and received confirmation within an hour of paying. Unfortunately had to wait 4 days for the tickets to be issued and had been a bit worried but received assurances from Gate1 that they would come via E mail and they did. Checked BA app and sure enough the tickets were there, Had a slight problem with the API having some wrong details but a couple of phonecalls to BA customer services and all was sorted. I am happy with the price and but for the delay with the tickets and the API problems it has been a fairly easy booking. The ticket price and times etc were as the website stated .

A bit of trouble changing my partner’s flight, caused I think by too many people in Holland getting involved, with no one person initially to see it through. But when we did get someone, they were excellent and the service from Gate 1 was first class. Will contact them first for my next booking.

I've travelled to over 34 countries and taken thousands of flights and this will be my first review ever writing due how bad Gate 1 UK screwed over on my return flights from the UK to San Fran. Cancelled my flights with out telling me due to a payment issue while still holding my money 3 days before I was due to fly. Having to rebook new flights 3 days before costing me a lot of money. Spent over an 1 hour on the phone trying to get them to assist me in booking new flights and nothing... Terrible service... Never again!

My baggage was not booked in for my return flight.... Did not check the confirmation as I did not expect my baggage not to be booked in

I had to pay 115 dollars at Sydney Airport

Had to get flights sorted quickly, and cheaply, after Thomas Cook failed as had month long holiday paid for travelling around Central America....Gate1 filled this gap cheaper and with reasonable journey time. Only criticism is that new flights involved transfers in USA, and not told/reminded that this would involve need for ESTA visa waiver, which could have been a note easily added to confirmation of booking, or even before buying (14 US dollars each). I had emailed Gate1 with a query about luggage, but did not get a reply...We added ‘extras’ on checking in at airport eg hold luggage.

Return trip London to LA
Outward via Frankfurt Lufthansa
Return via Toronto air canada
All flights booked through united airlines
Price very competitive for family of four but a complex booking system through united meant we were not provided with Lufthansa nor air canada booking references so we’re unable to check in in advance, hence were allocated rubbish seats with minors separated from parents until sorted at the departure gate.
Hassles of this we’re compensated by price somewhat but just providing all the required checkin information would have made the whole process so much smoother.

I understand Coronavirus has disrupted a lot of travel companies but you are not responding to a single email in the past 10 weeks since my flight was cancelled. With no email response or phone number to call this really isn't good enough. You can't just keep using Corona as an excuse to delay refunds in hope your company can keep majority of the money before you no doubt go into administration and we all lose our money
