Followed their price match promise instructions by sending link to competitors site etc. but response said the price was so good they could not match - not a promise after all then! Covered by their smallprint of course......

Absolutely appalling service. Would have given less than one star if it had been an option. Ordered an expensive item, which got lost in transit TWICE, only to be told that a more expensive delivery option should have been selected for a “higher chance” of receiving the order, with no offer of a discount. How anyone can run a business in this way with complete disregard for their customers is completely beyond me. I will certainly never order from this company again, and will be sure to advise the members of the various climbing groups I’m in to avoid these seemingly good prices like the plague. Disgusting customer service. And I still don’t have the item!

Thank goodness I paid through Paypal. This company in my opinion is selling fake goods. Bought Regatta chair £45.00, went in holes and collapsed after a few uses. Utter rubbish, counterfeit goods. No response to numerous emails. AVOID.

BEWARE…AWFUL customer service! Wish I’d paid more attention to the negative reviews! Bought a Mountain Equipment gilet from them which had to be returned. I followed the returns process by paying for the return postage and completing the return slip, but only received a partial refund as I “didn’t send them an email first” otherwise I’d have received a full refund. Company stated I should have used the cancellation process rather than the returns process, so clearly they don’t know the difference between a cancellation and a return. Staff not willing to discuss further and reverted to “it’s company policy” and the partial refund still stands, so basically “computer says no”. Tried speaking to their Head Office Manager but he didn’t return my call. It’s not the amount that’s bothering me, but rather I’m left with a feeling of being swindled and that they don’t care about customers. Will never use them again and will never recommend them to anyone. Companies which behave like this need to learn the importance of customers which are keeping them in business.

Very poor customer service. Ordered a Coleman head torch in March that broke 8 months later. Eventually after much chasing gaynor agreed to receive the item back. Sent and much chasing resulted in further agreement to process a refund by Coleman. Further chasing. More chasing. 3 weeks since returning item and still no refund and comms has ground to a halt now. very poor service. Customer last as is the case with many online companies nowadays. I have no item and no refund. Possibly stolen? Not sure.... will need to progress issue via alternative dispute means now

Poor customer service / payment system error & warehouse management system. Tried to purchase an item, would not allow to complete purchase due to a glitch in their system, as software thought Manchester was outside of the Uk, reported the fault on email & was asked to just try again. 4th time Lucy! Finally Ordered payment taken, happy days! Oh no wait now they email saying they don’t have any stock ?? Amazing - highly recommend firm

I ordered men’s muck boots!!Welligtons In December for my hubby they split after wearing a few times I was told to post back at my cost so I did! I was told after 2 weeks that I should have returned in clean condition I did rinse them before returning them but they are field wellingtons!! They then took 4 more weeks to process!!! NO COMMUNICATION AT All, I did originally ask for replacement as they come with 2 years warranty, I just got a refund for the boots NO POSTAGE REFUND!! I spent £9.99 in total for postage costs!!! AVOID THIS USELESS COMPANY ??

My sons ordered item was accepted online at 15:11hrs, he paid for next day delivery - all accepted. Item didnt arrive next day. Day 3 I rang, was told that it should have been dispatched and I would get a call back within 1 hour, with an explanation. No call, I rang back, no answer. Email today day 4, item out of stock, refund issued. My point is, customer service is non existent, online ordering system isnt fit for purpose as it accepts orders when there no stock, next day delivery (£4.99) doesnt really apply as if you order after 14:00hrs, it wont be processed until the following day. Rubbish!

After buying a coat for £110 and have worn 3 times for a big clump of feathers to come out the back of it then for them to tell me it's not faulty it's the nature of the coat and trying to say I have pulled the feathers out so it is damaged and are now denying me of a refund please stay away cause too much stress

I placed an order with Gaynor Sports in Ambleside for a Berghaus jacket. I had originally avoided them despite them being cheapest as their online shop had dire reviews. Further delving assured me that those problems were in the past. As a precaution I called their sales helpline and it was picked up within 2 rings and my enquiry was dealt with courteously and efficiently. The order was placed on Fri 28th May, for next working day dispatch, and despite it being a bank holiday weekend it was received the following Tuesday - exactly as promised. Will definitely use again.

Don’t buy anything online from these jokers, bought my wife some berghaus boots for Christmas as a gift, they arrived in a plastic bag with no box, no product or care information, no tags, just a previously USED plastic bag, complete joke, they were obviously ex display which was not stated on the web site, how can I give these boots as a gift ! Was then refused a refund on the return postage that I had to pay to return them, so out of pocket as well, disgusting would go near there website ever again

Delivery company tried to deliver to wrong address so first of three delivery attempts recorded as a 'fail'. When chasing this up with Gaynors the response was below what you would expect from a mail order company. Subsequent communications left me feeling that I would never se this company again.

i Purchased a pair of mammut boots which arrived yesterday. In a normal cardboard box not the original ! I can live with that however I paid 219 pounds the tag on the boots said 174.99!! Clearly the boots are ex display from the shop. Buyer beware it appears Gaynors mail order comes direct from the shop and clearly the shop is 45 pounds cheaper! I have e mailed them to see what answer they can give me

Ordered a pair of Merrell Annex shoes and they were with me within 2 days, and between the hours stated on tracking ref. They were in a bag rather than a box, so presume they were ex-display, but this didn't bother me, as they were in perfect condition and at a great price. Great service - would highly recommend and order again from Gaynors.
