My young son sustained an injury on a Petrol station forecourt, the case went on for 14 months before being dropped by Hampson Hughes despite the whole thing being captured on CCTV, it also took 6 months for them to get the name and address of the other party, corresponding with them was sometimes confusing as I would receive emails/questions from up to 3 different members of staff so it was sometimes hard to follow who was asking what, the case was dropped after 14 months as they no longer believed the case was financially worth it to them, however another local Solicitor took on the case and won it so It leaves me to believe that unless your claim is worth what they consider “serious money” you might be best to find a local Solicitor, it is also worth noting that since the Law changed in 2013 Solicitors can now take up to 25% of the compensation you are awarded as well as their fees, not all Solicitors take the full 25%. Hampson Hughes do take the full 25% so whatever you are awarded you will only get 75% of it so it is wise to shop around before choosing a Solicitor.

Also they charge 25% of your money as well as there own huge bill to other parties
Very poor service and have ruined my claim and my sons as other solicitors will not take my claim on which was a very straight forward non fault road traffic accident.
I won’t ever use or will be recommending them ever .

Nic was brilliant, always answered my questions and reassured me everything was running smoothly - my one criticism would be that the final stages of the process could of been handled differently by the company, email to say the accident claim cheque would be sent out in 3-5 business days without actual confirmation from accounts that it had in fact been sent out so in the end had to result in using BACs payment instead.
