Recently completed my level 3 exercise referral course. The help and support from Lindsey was amazing! Her knowledge and assistance helped guide me through the course from start to finish, she was always there when I had any questions!

just completed my level 2 & 3 with HFE, it was a great experience and I learned a lot. The practical weekends were excellent, full of knowledgeable, informative information from both Damien and Scott.
Especially Damien, I learned so many new things from him, and explains everything in detail.
I was having some trouble with my anatomy exam after failing it twice I called in the help of my support tutor Gil which helped me pass the 3rd time and gave me that little push towards the end. Overall great experience!

I completed my level 2 gym instructor and level 3 personal trainer qualifications with HFE and I can only say Stacey was brilliant.

Had a few ups and downs but Stacey was there to sort the issues out. Always constant with the catch up calls, I wouldn’t of passed without her.

A credit to HFE and a great tutor, I wish her all the best.

Lindsey was so supportive with regular calls of encouragement, as an older learner I was nervous I wasn’t up to it but Lindsey helped me believe in myself and motivated me to complete the course Level 4 obesity and diabetes in physical activity. Thank you so much

I definitely recommend HFE if you want to train as a Pilates instructor. I enrolled in the Pilates and Back Pain Management Specialist courses. Truthfully....it was pretty intensive but so very thorough! I really enjoyed the practical weekends too, the tutors there were very knowledgeable and helpful.
I was assigned support tutors. Janine for my Pilates and Lindsey for my L4 Back Pain courses. Both tutors were absolutely amazing. Fully supportive and always there when I needed them ( which was quite alot).
I'm now thinking of enrolling on the Yoga course!

I recently completed my Level2 Gym Instructing course and it was a fantastic journey, great support, great learning system and the teachers on the weekend practicals were amazing! Can't wait to start Level3 Personal Training with HFE!

At first I was a bit sceptical of completing a Yoga Course through HFE, as I thought it may only focus on the "fitness" elements of Yoga, rather than the philosophy as a whole. I was completely wrong - this course has taught me so, so much and equipped me with so much knowledge and skills that I will take with me throughout my yoga teaching journey.
First and foremost my Tutor, Dani, was amazing - we had regular phone calls, she was kind and encouraging throughout and her guidance helped me to complete the (sometimes very challenging) course with relative ease. The practical course tutors, Yvette and Charlotte, were incredible and taught us so much, not only about the practical elements of Yoga, but the whole philosophy surrounding it, and what the meaning of Yoga truly is. They really did go above and beyond and I couldn't be more grateful.
The learning materials and guides were clearly set out and informative, and the online system was easy to use. I can't fault anything really.
Thankyou so much to HFE - I would not hesitate with recommending you to others, or when completing another course.

I've recently completed an Exercise To Music qualification with HFE and now I'm currently completing Exercise For Older Adults and Pre/Post Natal Exercise. The manuals were very helpful in conjunction with online tutorials with Lorna (ETM only). They arrived within 2-3 days of signing up. The practical weekends were packed with information and our tutor Lisa was fab. Really friendly and positive. The practical weekend was stressful (as to be expected) but she ensured that we stayed calm and focused. Danielle Sharrock was my tutor at other times and was always friendly and helpful when I had any queries/concerns. When she wasn't available, there was always someone there at the end of the line to help (usually Janine who was fabulous too). If no-one was available, I always got a return call usually within an hour or so.

I am more of a visual learner so would've liked to have seen some tutorials for the specialist population but regardless, the mock questions were useful to highlight strengths & weakness in various areas of the course, enabling me to tailor my study time more efficiently.

Course locations were suitable with a couple of choice of venues that didn't involve much travelling.

I was impressed with this course that I booked in for Level 2 Gym Instructor & Level 3 PT next year. Again course material arrived super quick and a contact call with my new tutor Stacey was made within a few days and a timetable set for follow up calls etc.

I would definitely recommend HFE to anyone looking to branch out into the world of fitness.

I have completed my Level 3 Anatomy & Physiology, Pilates, Nutrition and Exercise Referral with HFE this year and thoroughly recommend HFE. The online/phone support as well as the weekend tutors were all very knowledgable and supportive. I would definitely do future qualifications with this provider.

The support is alright because they provide a personal tutor while the student is studying at home..
But sometimes the tutor doesn’t reply directly. For instance I had to email her twice in order to have a reply...

But the reason why would NOT recommend them is because they are thirsty for money.
-Did you fail? You need to pay to give exams again
- Do you have a family problem so you can’t finish on time? You need to pay to extend your deadline.
- Do you want to do any change? Because life is not always as we expect it... THEN PAY!

When I finish my current course I am not gonna do another of their courses

Did my Level 2 Gym Instructor and Level 3 Personal Training qualifications with other online providers. Did the Level 3 Exercise Referral qualification with HFE who were by far the best to date. Will 100% use for future courses.

I completed my Level 3 Diploma in Exercise Referral and my Level 4 Certificate in Physical Activity and Weight Management for Obese and Diabetic Clients with HFE. My tutor was Lindsey Hall.

I very much enjoyed both courses and learned quite a bit to advance from my Level 3 Personal Trainer qualification.

The online videos are excellent and supplemented as well as added new value to the reading material.

The medical conditions summary videos were very helpful in preparing for the exams.

The study books for both courses were excellent.

My tutor, Lindsey Hall, did an excellent job due to her constant availability throughout my course(s), due to the feedback and guidance she provided and for the really useful workshop she delivered.
She contributed to a very large degree to me enjoying the course! Many thanks for this!! This was a very positive experience.

Although Stacey Agnew was not my designated tutor she took valuable time out of her day to call me via Skype and tutor me on my mat pilates practical exam lesson plan. She was patient, answered all my questions clearly and in detail and genuinely could not have been a better support during a very nerve wracking period before the exam practical. Janine Ranson was also very helpful and responded to all my email queries quickly and efficiently.
I am very satisfied with the whole HFE learning experience and cannot thank them enough for all the help and support received.

I have recently completed the Level 3 Mat Pilates course with HFE and they have been fantastic start to finish. My tutor Dani was always available any time I had questions or concerns :)

I found the course informative and interesting and would definatley engage with HFE for further courses

I must also mention the brilliant support afforded by Lyndsey Hall she was always available for questions and guidance and made distance learning easier than it might have been

My tutor that taught the weekends Hara was highly positive, enthusiastic and supportive and although it was a lot of hard work she encouraged us to do the best we could. The course was also fun.

Stacey in the office was at hand loads no matter what questions I had. She gave me lots of great ideas on setting up my business and Marked all my work really quickly. I would definitely do more training with HFE

I recently completed my Level 3 Mat Pilates course with HFE and I had a very positive experience overall.

The blended learning style really suited me. There were lots of well-organised resources, three practical weekends and unvaluable support from my tutor Janine.

It's a course that requires a lot of study time and practice but doable and worth it if you put in the work.

I highly recommend HFE.

After researching all the training providers out there (it’s a bloody minefield isn’t it?), comparing the prices, reading all the conflicting reviews and all that bo**ocks, I am so thankful I didn’t go with anyone else, because the response rate of ANYONE on the HFE team (not just my tutors) is beyond compare.

Your assignments get marked almost instantaneously, if your DEDICATED tutor is ill or on leave, someone else on the team will gladly help you and you will receive emails and calls checking on how you’re doing with the coursework, and calls just to see how you’re doing in general!!!

HFE is more than just a training company.
They care about each and every one of their students and they want you to do well.
More than that, they want you to be equipped with the best tools, the best knowledge and the best training so that when you go out there in the real world, you deliver what it says (on your CV/qualifications) you can do, and to do it safely and with the utmost confidence.

Even after you graduate, they are always happy to hear from you because ultimately, you represent them, what they stand for, their values and beliefs.

They truly love what they do, they reinforce the importance of the safety and welfare of your future students and they consistently deliver 100% every single day without fail.

Are they perfect? Of course not - there’s always room for improvement, but they’re a learning, active and growing company - forward thinking, reflective and have a young, dynamic, energetic and hugely knowledgeable and multi-disciplined and experienced team who will take on suggestions and make adjustments and corrections regularly in order to deliver the very best content and most accurate information they can.

The printed manuals, training videos and the dedicated App make learning a breeze for people which are already working, as it allows you to use whichever medium is available to you at the time.

For me, I relied on the videos and the App the most as I was already a Hot Pilates teacher and I am always bouncing from class to class and place to place.

What else could they improve?
There are a few typos in the manuals (no big deal) and I know not everyone will like who/the style of the person in the training videos by (I didn’t have a problem with that but I know some people might) but that’s down to personal preference.
In reality, if you went to any college or University, it’s not like you can choose which professor you get, is it? But I have read some reviews criticise HFE unfairly for that.
Still, everyone is welcome to their own opinion. It is for that reason that HFE offer their students a variety of study materials because if you don’t like/don’t get on with a medium (be it a particular video presentation, or a certain chapter in the training manual) then you always have an alternative source to learn from.

The best thing about HFE is that it is very proactive and they encourage regular interaction with your course tutors.

If you don’t understand something, you can just pop into the HFE office to speak to One if the tutors face to face (if you live near their office) or just pick up the phone and speak to someone (if it’s a quick question) or schedule a call back/appointment if you have a few queries to get to the bottom of).

I’m not being paid to write this review by the way, as you probably tell by my style of writing, so let me save you a lot of time and potentially a lot of frustration (I have friends who study with other companies, who are a lot more expensive than HFE and they are regretting it everyday) - just choose HFE and you won’t go wrong. they are competitively priced and great value for money.

In short, HFE look after you.
They really will.
Hand on heart, it’s the best fu***ing decision I made this year.
I love them and I can’t wait to do another course with them next year - probably their Personal Training course.

Now all I’ve got to do is pass my 3rd and final qualification with HFE this year - my Nutrition Exam, which is in less than 2 weeks!

I have now completed 3 courses with HFE, Gym instructor, Personal trainer level 2 and fitness for older Adults. Stacey Agnew has been my Support Tutor for two of these. The HFE learning materials are very good but you do need a good Support Tutor to get you through the tricky parts. Stacey has a wealth of knowledge and a practical approach to the courses, she replied to all my questions very quickly and spent whatever time was needed getting me to understand these areas. I can only say a big thank you to her and I hope to do more fitness learning in the future.
