I ordered with Hockerty some items, which took two months to arrive. Obviously, Hockerty did not held accountable of the delivery, was just saying: "You have to wait"

Story short, I lost my money and my time. I had to buy another suit since it was not there when I was waiting for it.


Hockerty is too risky and has horrible customer service. If you are planning to order my advice is, be aware that you might lose your money, because they DO NOT GIVE REFUNDS under no circumstances, even when they are responsbiles.

Ordered a suit and boots late March, website advises 30 day delivery but once payment was processed I was advised of delays. I'm coming close to 2 months since my order and I can't get an ETA on when it will be delivered. Suit was purchased for an upcoming event, allowing almost 3 times the delivery period advised, but now not sure if it will arrive in time and whether I have to buy a new suit elsewhere. Boots arrived with pull loops despite being specifically ordered without them.

Their Chat Bot states "It normally takes only 18 calendar days between you placing your order, we producing your garment by hand, and you receiving it at home. We are the fastest company in the world delivering custom made to measure clothes." Compare that to your Customer Service Team who told me on the 9th of May when asking if there's any chance I'll get my order by the end of the month "There is a chance, though how probable that is, I am afraid I cannot say it...", and then on the 16th of May "We think it could be possible to deliver this in around a couple of weeks. That is an estimation based on the information we have right now." How can you legally still be making promises of 30 day delivery in order to make a sale, to only then inform the customer of the actual delivery period once payment has been made?

Order 21580820. The suit was 2 sizes too big! It costs as much to remake it as to sew a new suit. They refused to return the money, they did not recognize their jamb. When ordering, I filled out exactly the fields that the service offered me. Disgusting quality and service.

Terrible service, 5 weeks down the line, and no suit or shirt. My wedding is in one day. Their customer service is nonexistent, totally unhelpful when you do eventually get an email. Avoid this company or you will lose you money an have you occasion ruined.

I had a custom shirt made for my husband for Christmas that turned out perfect! I also had a vest made for my son-in-law for Christmas and that’s when the problem started. They used my husband’s profile (6’4”, 270lbs) for my son-in-law (6’, 180lbs). The tailor they recommended said it couldn’t be altered and the company refuses to remake or refund the item.

Whilst the adverts all sold a fantastic product and the interaction with the website was very good, this is where the positive ended. As this outfit was supposed to be for my wedding, it was important to get clarity on quality and delivery. Communication with the company was close to zero, the web chat was useless and we discovered that the company Hockerty use to ship had no holding company here in the UK and we had no way of checking what happened to the product once here. Furthermore, when we eventually received the article, what we specified was missing and the quality for what we paid for, was sub par to say the least. I have now had to go elsewhere and hire an outfit.. And the company still do not communicate. Rubbish on a grand scale. Sort your communication out, Hockerty. And your quality.

I've ordered numerous items from Hockerty (and its companion site Sumissura) and have been consistently impressed with the fit of the finished garments, the quality of the materials used and overall level of craftsmanship. I recommend the service to anyone who has difficulty finding well crafted garments that fit and for a reasonable price, it is well worth it!

Ordered custom shirts. I entered measurements as requested by their website. Unfortunately, the size of the shirts were too small (and thus, unable to take it to a local tailor). Hockerty also makes you jump "hoops" and asks for pictures. After slow replies once you open a ticket, they will eventually offer to remake shirt. But this is the "kicker," the customer has to pay for the shipping to send the original shirts that made in the wrong size (keep in mind, it was their fault).

Besides their "Guarantee" being deceiving (they will show you the fine print where the customer is at a disadvantage), the fabric is not 100% cotton (as ordered). You can literally see through the so called "cotton" shirt.

Therefore, do yourself a favor, research other competitors that will customize your clothing accordingly (there are many). Hockerty is a total scam!

Buyer beware!
I ordered a ‘premium’ wool suit. The one that arrived was made of rayon; the wrong colour and ill-fitting at the waist. On checking the ‘contact us’ pathway on the Hockley website, I found there was no complaint department/ email account/telephone number. Was contacted following my poor review on trustpilot. Got a few (scripted) platitudes. I sent Hockerty the photo of the wool fabric from their website and a photo of the rayon suit, which I had received. The two images were, of course, totally different. Clearly, there's been a mix-up in China, where the suits are made. Nevertheless, I asked them to confirm, on the record, their position that these photos showed the same fabric. All contact from Hockerty ceased immediately. So, I've got a crappy suit and they've got my money. Complete scam.

If I could give this a zero star, I would! Firstly, I ordered a suit jacket and pants from their website with all the measurements included. When I received the suit, not only was it very poor quality material, but it didn’t even fit correctly. I tried multiple times to tell them that I had to return it as I was very dissatisfied (to say the least), but they refused to do so, and wouldn’t even alter the suit without a charge! Beware of this crooked offshore company that is unethical and does not care about caring for their customers at all. Do not purchase any clothing from this site!

Bought an overcoat material was advertised as 100% wool when it arrived label said 40% wool, and the quality was very poor when contacted the company tried to insist that it was always advertised as 40% wool i had the original advert saying 100% wool plus on some sites it was still advertised as 100% wool the buttons were not properly fixed nor lining up with the button holes pocket flap not sewn all the way along, lining badly attached, fit way out to sum them up as useless is being generous. Do not use they are a pile of thieving scum-bags they said they would compensate me and to send pictures but stopped communicating when i sent the pictures and a seamstress's evaluation of the coat saying it was rubbish from workmanship to material used. BE WARNED PURE CRAP.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS CRIMINAL COMPANY!
My experience with Hockerty has been an absolute nightmare. This is one of the most irrational companies I’ve ever worked with. Let me explain. I had my wedding recently and I decided to custom design my own suit on their website. The website was nifty and the options looked great. I spent a great deal of time & detail in designing a suit that cost me about $700 for my wedding. I got the suit a few days beyond the quoted delivery date but I didn’t make a deal out of that. When I tried it on, it was 3 sizes too big and didn’t look remotely as nice as it did on the website. I have pictures to post of how bad the suit looks but there is no option to upload the pics on this review site. I contacted Hockerty and they offered to remake my suit but that would not be helpful because my wedding was less than 2 weeks away at that point so I asked for a refund. They refused to give me a refund. They offered to pay for tailoring up to 25% of the value of the suit or remake the suit. That does NOT make any sense. Why would you be willing to spend your company resources to remake a suit that I hate so much but you’re not willing to just refund me instead. To make it worse, the customer service team keeps asking me for updated measurements so they can remake the suit (which I no longer need) but I explained to them that my measurements in their system are the same now as they were when I purchased the suit. The product is horrible and the customer service is even worse. They ruined my wedding. I had to get a last minute emergency tux from a different vendor: They stole almost $700 from me. STAY AWAY FROM HOCKERTY!!!

Quality of fabrics and details not very impressing. I ordered a slim fit but both jacket and trousers fit quite large. The extra paid for "special" buttons was a total waste of money. They are made of plastic and you can spot they're cheap-low quality stuff from miles away.

Shocking service and fit. Went through 4 remakes and over a years worth of emails and pleading for a refund for them to repeatedly give me stock shirts. Ive given up on trying to get a refund now and have £250 worth of shirts ide never wear and will likely use them as fuel for my fire this winter. I had my friend who fits famous labels like Coast measure the shirts and they were all 20cm or more off my supplied measurements. I would like to take them to court but don't have the time or energy so all I can do is spread the word so they don't do the same to you

I received my £200 jacket yesterday, which turns out to be a 16 usd jacket made in China which is the cheapest material along with the worse tailoring I have ever seen, I look like a 5 year old wearing his dad's suit. To top it off the Chinese had left the invoice to Hockertys in the box I received showing they are paying 16 usd for the crap I received (even they are being robbed to be fair) with half the buttons s hanging off and the other buttons the wrong way around. I would strongly suggest noone buys from these con artists for any reason!! And I will be fighting for a full refund as I have been completely ripped off by this joke of a company!

Expected the item to be made in the UK their website is very good at making you think this is the case unfortunately it's not the item was shipped from China I paid £61 for a tux shirt that probably cost all of £2.50 to make the fabric is thin the build quality is shabby. Lesson learnt spend extra a make sure it's made in the UK!

I received my order more quickly than I anticipated. The three-piece suit did require some alterations and the process to file a claim to work with support through the alteration process was quick and easy. The customer support representative I worked with was very helpful and responsive. The original turnaround time for Hockey to do the alterations in house was pushing right against when I needed the suit for my wedding. When I communicated that to the representative assisting me, he was quick to come up with another solution that better met my needs. I would purchase a suit from Hockerty again just based on the great pre-sales support I received from Jonathan and the team.

I wouldn't say Hockerty is a scam, but the tailoring is so bad that it's a total waste of money to order custom from them, you would get a better fit buying standard sizes. I ordered a shirt, vest and pants. Despite careful measurements, the waist on the pants was 2 inches too large, the shirt sleeves were too wide and too long, the shirt itself as too long. Basically, despite paying extra for custom tailoring, the clothes don't fit and I can't return them. The quality of the fabric looks ok, but I can't speak to the durability.

Hockerty is an excellent concept and has a good range of shirts and materials. Unfortunately, as noted by other reviews, they often do not seem to follow the measurements which are inputted on their website. Every shirt/polo shirt I have ordered has been incorrect. Despite entering an 88.2cm belly measurement on the website, the shirts provided had over 110cm of fabric in that area. Previously shirts have been sent which were too short or had simply ignored the shoulder measurements and made them too short. Jonas and Thomas were the main representatives that I dealt with during the problems I have experienced and they seem oblivious to the fact that the tailors have simply ignored the measurements that were sent to them despite me going through the trouble of sending them additional measurements and pictures (at their request) for the corrections to the shirts and for future orders. Their insistence on me sending three pictures in every item I had ordered was timewasting and further frustrating when they did not even acknowledge that it came to light that even shirts in the same order with exactly the same measurements had different problems. All they need to do is see one shirt on the order is incorrect and then either refund it or replace it. This on top of the fact that the order I placed took almost two months to arrive (outside their prescribed delivery time) with no notification and no compensation. Although they accepted a return on the order (at my expense), even the replacements have had problems and they continually push they policy regarding getting amendments by a local tailor but seem ignorant to the fact that we have used the service to save time and visits to tailors etc. Not to mention the fact that at one point they wanted me to use a local tailor to lengthen the shirt, I felt like this was a completely oblivious response which demonstrated the ineptitude of the customer service who thought I had a magic tailor who could make new fabric out of nowhere. Unfortunately, I need to spend the credit that I will earn on their site with the amendment credits and I also need a matching blazer using the same fabric as they used for a pair of trousers I have but once this set of orders are dealt with, unless they are able to handle the orders accurately and professionally, this will be my last dealing with them. To give credit where it is due, the quality of the materials are great, their trousers are of excellent quality and I have had much more success with them, finally getting tailored trousers which fit me appropriately. The people at Hockerty have a lot of skill but need more accuracy and care regarding adherence to the measurements when it comes to shirts. A sign of good customer service is acknowledging where failures are happening and ensuring they do not happen again. A simple acknowledgement of the problems and perhaps a quick refund of two of the shirts or half the order as a goodwill gesture in appreciation of the efforts to get it tailored and that they have failed to provide the service I have paid for TWICE.
