After speaking to the owner you were able to let us know that this had been accepted.

The owner of the cottage I had previously booked had cancelled all bookings and holidaycottages.co.uk failed to contact me to let me know despite the owner contacting them several days earlier. I only found out less than 24 hours before my holiday because I contacted the owner to arrange to pick up the keys.
Utterly abysmal customer service from holidaycottages.co.uk! When I called them to resolve this they took credit for contacting me despite the fact it was me that had called them. At no point did they phone me to talk to me about it and they lied about phoning me (zero missed calls on my phone). It was eventually resolved via email after several empty promises from holidaycottages.co.uk where they stated they were looking for a list of alternative accommodation. I ended up finding an alternative cottage around 12 hours before we were due to go on holiday. Possibly the worst customer service experience of my life and I certainly won’t be recommending holidaycottages.co.uk to anybody nor will I ever use them again.

My original holiday property was flooded 3 weeks before my long awaited holiday. I had help from holiday cottages to re arrange which took all the stress away.

Booked the property at two days notice, yet everything went like clockwork

Great on day booking however had to wait 5 hours for payment to go through to get address and final details of property.Not ideal when traveling 8 hours to destination.

We booked last minute on Fri to check in the following day for 4 nights.
Communication was good and we had very little trouble finding the cottage, the keys and everything else. Detailed instructions were available in the booklet left for us, they thought of everything you could need whilst staying there.
Cottage was very clean and absolutely wonderful with amazing views. It was the perfect break for us. We wanted to stay longer and would definitely go again.

Buy a much needed long weekend a number of times each year with holiday cottages. User friendly site and great choice

I have used HC for a number of years and found them helpful and the quality of the properties on their portfolio of excellent quality.

When we made the booking we requested our start date to be a Saturday rather than the normal Friday. We were contacted immediately and kept informed of our enquiry before receiving confirmation our dates were accepted.

Excellent 10 out of ten

We always book our long weekends away with this company as the selection of properties is second to none .

The complete booking arrangement (we have booked with Holiday Cottags in 2019 for the same cottage last year) was clear to work with, even for somone who isn't a "techy".
