Order placed on the 11th of April 2020 and as per your available dates shown in the system for delivery was 26th of April 2020 between 10am and 1 pm Today is the 28th and we have no idea about the delivery. It’s so unprofessional that no person from IKEA have called us and provided an update and also we have tried all numbers and none of them work Order no. WEBO0298691 This is the first time we used the online platform of IKEA Dubai and it is really unprofessional. Customer service is one of the worst you could find in UAE

This company can not possible read these rating 1.2 of 5 and feel like you are "sorry it was a bad experience". While I have enjoyed some of the products, I have never dealt with such a convoluted customer experience. The website and customer service is SO circular, UN user friendly, frustrating and uninformative. There are dead ends and loops that take you nowhere. Whoever is at the helm of customer experience needs to go.

I order IKEA kitchen on March 30th,2020. I received half of the kitchen. After 25 days I received call from IKEA representative that order for other half is cancelled because IKEA does not have capacity to deliver my order? Ikea is still accepting online order but my order is cancelled! After that I received email from no reply IKEA : “delivery company has attempted contacting you on several occasions to schedule a delivery appointment, however, they have not heard back from you and shipping and handling costs are non-refundable “?? Where is integrity of IKEA?? I never received a call. In addition, what I am going to do with another half of the kitchen that is now useless? Gzim Gusinjac

We have been a very loyal IKEA USA customer since we moved to the US three years ago. Three years ago we bought all the furniture for our home from IKEA store along with delivery and assembly services. Unfortunately, we had bad experiences with delivery and assembly services back then. But, we took it sportingly and considered that as a fluke and moved on. But, our recent purchase experiences really exhausted our patience to the limit. Let me begin my saying IKEA has the worst customer focused services in the world. In last few weeks, we had purchased IKEA furniture items from its Woodbridge, VA store. Some we picked up and brought home and assembled ourselves. Others we ordered for home delivery and assembly services. During check out, we had terrible experience since the cashier was rude to the extent that it felt as if she was doing charity and we should be grateful and feel privileged that we were given the opportunity to shop at the IKEA store. But, I wish that was the end of our misery. The worst was yet to come though. And the cruel part is we paid for it all as well. And that had to do with home delivery and assembly service that we asked and paid for. We had agreed for both delivery and assembly services on the same day and within the same 4-hr window. Well, the delivery guys showed up at the very fag end of the 4-hr window and confirmed to us, upon contacting the assigned assembly guy, that assembly service is on its way. We waited another 30 minutes and then called IKEA customer center to check ETA of the assembly guy. The customer center guy confirmed that, upon contacting the assigned assembly guy via the third party company, he was still on his way to our place. We again waited about an hour and then called back the IKEA customer center again. After more than 45 minutes of painful conservation and wait, this is what I learned from the customer center rep. IKEA now claimed that it was reported that my place was not ready for assembly. Now, how would he know since he never showed up? To add insult to injury, IKEA then said they will investigate the matter and it will take 2-3 days to complete that and then they will contact me to offer resolution. Wow….what a world class service from a world class company?????!!!!! Really????? Worst part is I already paid for it. I swear I will never buy anything from IKEA ever….I will also make it my personal mission to tell everyone about my experience and dissuade them to shop at IKEA. If necessary, I will offer to drive them to other stores. This is the end for me for IKEA. Enough is enough.

HOUSTON, TEXAS -- Many problems with our birch cabinets colors. Many black and purple lines all over the doors...but not on their display cabinets. Waited hours trying to return inferior product. Also we were forced to buy $150 worth of extra product to get our 20% discount because they were out of one of the products we were buying, which put us under the total $ amount needed for our discount.

We were told we could return extra items anytime up to 25 years later. We decided not to use them after kitchen was completed and we tried to return extra items 1 1/2 yrs later. After waiting one hour they wouldn't take them back, even though they still carry the product.

Ordered items online on 13/4/2020 (the first and the last time). Received a confirmation that it would be delivered in 3 working days. Given the COVID-19 situation I expected delays but not my parcel being never delivered. I received an sms on 17/4/2020 by speedpost that my parcel was arriving, my parcel never came. A check on speed post website showed failed delivery address not correct!!! Returning to sender. Wrote to ikea via email on 20/04/2020, only received an acknowledgement but no solution. Called ikea on 23/4/2020,hung on the line an hour before a "efficient" customer service officer by the name of Rara took the call. Her answer was very simple I need to check with speed post, wld you like to hold on the line or give u a call back? Asked if she would call me back by today and she answered definitely by today. I said OK. It has past more than a day and no call. I tried to call ikea and the line does not even go thru. Horrible customer service will never use their online services again.

I've placed an order for delivery, there has been no communication, it was supposed to be delivered today between 13:00 and 17:00. I havent recieved a phone call or email regarding any problems. I'm unable to reach anyone on the phone as it doesnt even ring. It wont allow me to send and email, I cant message on Face book, cant post on fb and have been waiting only delivery all day.

I ordered furniture with the expected delivery date of 5/20/2020 set by IKEA, the order didn't show up, so I went to track my order and it said it was cancelled however I was still charged. So I called customer service, waited on hold for literally 3 hours, got someone on the phone to check what happened and after giving them my order number, they put me back on hold for another 45 minutes and disconnected the phone! I called again, waited another 2 hours and the person who answered just automatically hung up!! I can't get ahold of anyone, Ive called continuously throughout the day and no one is willing to help. IKEA and their customer service line is absolute trash. I understand there is a pandemic, but the absolute lack and refusal to help their customers is just maddening. I still do not have a resolution to my issue, no furniture and no refund.

As a German with IKEA experience for more than 30 years I can tell you that IKEA in the USA is far away from the European quality. They deliver stuff which doesn't fit together or is damaged and then you will have a hard time to get a replacement or your money back. I never ever had such an experience in Europe. I used to love IKEA and ordered countless furniture over the years, in Germany and Spain.

In the US your chance is around 50% that you get what you want and that it will fit together.

E.G. we just got two beds from them. The slatted frame is too small for the bed. So we had to fix it somehow, so that it will not move around when you use the bed. After assembling the first bed we started the second one and found that they delivered two wooden lathes for the right side of the slatted frame. There is no chance to assemble the bed this way. We tried everything but it didn't work. That's so frustrating. Especially when you've just moved and have no time at all.

IKEA, hire someone to do quality control like it is normal and mandatory in Europe.

I bought several "Billy" model bookshelves from the Schaumsberg IL, Ikea, and after driving 150 miles home and unpacking the bookshelf components, discovered that the front face of one of the shelves had a 4" long x 1/4" wide and deep gash in the wood veneer. Ikea shipping materials are a very thin cardboard, about as thin as it could be and still be corrugated, and a few patches of tape. There are no padding or packing materials (aside from a few scrap wood spacers) inside the box and it is altogether too weak of packing to contain anything over perhaps 20lbs let alone the parts to an 85lb bookcase. It has minimal effectiveness in preventing damage to the shelf components or even hold the parts in if the box is tipped down.

I called Ikea customer service hoping to reach a person who might help me obtain a new shelf to replace the damaged one. I eventually spoke to a customer service rep who told me that requesting a replacement shelf was not within the realms of "customer service" and transferred me to a claims resolution department. Except, I got shuffled in a continuous loop on hold between the Schaumberg store's automated phone system and the national office's automated phone system for at least half an hour before I got disconnected. I called again and again ended up on hold for half an hour without talking to anyone who actually could help me. Finallly a third time I finally got through to someone after maybe 15 minutes on hold and this person took all of my pertinent information and set up a claim. Although she initially tried to get me to take the entire shelf system back to the store, I explained that a) it was already fully assembled and secured to the wall of my rec room; and b) I live 150 miles away from the nearest Ikea and I wasn't going to burn $50 in gas and tolls to return one shelf. Finally, she reluctantly agreed to ship the shelf to me and asked for my receipt number. I read it to her and then she repeated that number back to me.

10 days later, I get a voice mail message from Ikea claims resolution saying that my claim is in their system but I failed to provide them with my receipt number for verification that I actually purchased one of these shelves?!?!? Unfortunately, I forgot to look for my receipt that night and when this person called the next day, I was able to speak with her but not provide her with the receipt number which I had forgotten at home. She expressed doubts at my statement that I had already provided my receipt number, saying "If you did, why isn't it in the computer system?" We agreed she would call me at 8:00 this morning. At 7:30 as I was getting out of the shower, my cell phone gives me "you have a message" beep and I find out that this Ikea customer "service" rep has decided that because I couldn't be bothered to answer the phone half an hour before we agreed to talk, she was closing my claim.

I called back early this afternoon but again got put on hold for over 20 minutes. Again, the CSR's with whom I spoke denied that their job duties included providing some actual service to a customer in my situation and eventually I was transferred to the operator, who then transferred me to the correct department. However, no one from that department apparently likes to pick up their phone, so I had to leave a message with my name, phone number and claim number. No one from Ikea has called me back after waiting at least four hours.

This is horrible service. I am very unhappy with how poorly the several customer service departments are run and wasted at least two hours on on the phone on hold. I think this was my last purchase from Ikea. The quality of their products, particularly their wood furniture, has declined in recent years, anyway.

The worst customer service I have ever experienced in 30 years of retail.
On hold for 45-60 minutes and then transferred and back on hold for over 60 minutes only to eventually hang up in frustration. Told on 2 occasions a return call would be forthcoming, but none came.
4 emails not answered.
Almost unbelievable.
This was my first and LAST purchase from IKEA.

I had a bad experience with Ikea service and customer care for installing a kitchen unite, their sales representative is not explaining exactly the service they provide, they make u you sign on the order without knowing, after waiting for the delivery 2 weeks, they came first time and told me I have to remove the old until first, so I did after struggleing to get somebody to remove, after one more week, when they arrived they told me that they don't fix the plumbs they only install the unit, so I had to search again for a pipe fitter to do this simple job they couldn't provide the customer though we are paying for installation, and now the installation went totally wrong and still leaking after the pipe fitter fixed it, I paid triple price for the installation, besides the inside cabinets are poor quality as not as expected, shame on them

I'm done with IKEA. Tried ordering over 6K in Kitchen cabinets but was sent on a wild goose chase with their "online store". Long story short it's been over 2 months of planning this and none of their items are available once you make it to checkout. Tried contacting them via email (not possible) and by the phone (also not possible). They've made me so mad that I'm actually wasting my time writing a REVIEW! You kidding me!?! What am I doing with my life? Lastly I'm a contractor and have used IKEA before but those days are done! I'll be sure to tell all my friends as well.

I ordered items to be delivered on 4/16/2020. The charge posted to my credit card on 4/17/2020. After completing the order they said delivery to be 5/19/2020. Really,why not tell me before completing the transaction the delivery would take over a month. On 5/18/2020 no word from IKEA. Multiple phone calls to IKEA 5/18-5/21/2020, “we are unable to take your call”. Email sent to IKEA to cancel order per their website instruction, no response. On 5/21/2020 disputed the charge on credit card. Maybe that will get their attention. AWFUL service. Why can’t a huge, global corporation get it together to deliver goodsin a timely fashion and provide customer service. Never again!!! BEWARE! HAVE YOUR CREDIT CARD COMPANY DISPUTE THE CHARGES!!!

I placed an order on line on 26 March 2020 for 2 Grundtal shelves. Delivery was to be 26 April 2020 but payment was taken at the time of ordering rather than at despatch. Today I recived an emailed credit reciept (the money has not yet been replaced to my credit card), it appears that my order has been cancelled. No explanation and no reason given. These items are still available on the Ikea website to order and for delivery. Would definitely not use the Ikea online ordering again, lots of publicity but no action!

I was trying to buy an item online since the stores in BC are closed. Upon check out i've chosen pick up but couldn't complete the transaction, it just was not working! tried to call provided number but the line was either busy or dropping. Chat option didn't work due to long queue Gave up after trying half an hour. If You hear IKEA complaining about drop in sales tel them to shove it! The company laid of thousands of workers but can not organize online services. Hopefully our Government won't give them helping hand because they have a lousy CEO and such!

I am so frustrated reading all these reviews, wish I would have read these before I spent almost $300 on an order I have received no information on. I placed an order on 4/27, and was told my “estimated delivery date” was today, 5/19. I waited all day hoping for items that never came. You call and get no one, and I feel I have no choice but to dispute my charge through my credit card. I loved all the items so much and am truly disappointed with this whole experience.

I wish there is a 0 star option, I ordered items from IKEAUAE on 4th of April and schedued for delivery due on 16th of April then changed to 21st then 28th then 5th of may them 7th of may then 15th of may and yet still not delivered. I called, I emailed, I facebooked, Instagramed and tweeted IKEA but all in vain and they didn't even bother to call back. Why are they still selling online and didn't close till they deliver all pending orders and solve their issues ? I registered a complain at DED Consumer protection and unfortionately IKEA isn't responding even to them. they take your money, no delivery and i wouldnt dare to ask for a refund after reading the 100's of reviews and social media comments about people still waiting for their refund from more than 2 months.
