I used a James' Home Services franchise to get my lounge suite and carpets cleaned recently. His prices were reasonable ($300) and he did a good job. Arrived on time, worked hard and all went well. We did notice a couple of spots in the lounge room where the dirty water had splashed up onto our book shelf, but it's not hard to clean that up. Our lounge suite certainly looks a lot cleaner than it did last time we had them cleaned (with a different business). Would recommend James Home Services. I used the Logan South branch (Brisbane area).
Arrived on time, didn't charge more than quoted, did a good job

Used James to clean windows, window cleaner broke 2 blinds, put window cleaner on coffee table and tv unit which left permanent marks, company quick to respond stating they would fix the problem, however this has not been fixed and still waiting. Very poor job of window cleaning I redid all the windows.

James are great I use them for more than just one thing and they're fantastic every time, they're so friendly and I always love coming home after my home has been cleaned.

Called for a quote was an hour late then I rang to see where he was.

He finally came said he would email quote never heard from him again.

We have been with James Home Services for over 4 years. Loved every minute. Things have never been better.
Since the new owner took over in October, much more professional approach. New uniforms, new trailer, the support has been great and the team on the sunshine coast are just like family.

Paid $600 for Bond Cleaning , they turned up late and finished in the dark of night, when we went back the next day they had only cleaned 1/2 of the house any shelf's, mirrors above 5ft , they didnt clean , phoned them straight away they said they would work with the real-estate to clean the house again , after they went back to clean the 2nd time they still didn't clean 5 shelf's (not even wipe them down) they wiped the window track and left all the dust in the corners , I called them again and they came back for the 3rd time and finished off what they should of done on day one , They 7 day guarantee there work but we have to pay an extra 5 days rent waiting for them to come back and clean , don't pay up front ..

I was with James Home Services for 10 years before selling my business and retiring. I have nothing but positive things to remember about the company and the current Franchisors John and Vicki dedicated themselves to all the team on the Sunshine Coast and I wouldn't hesitate in recommending James as a business to anyone.

February 10th 2017 Update: Best thing i ever did

I spent 10 years with James and loved my business. I eventually had to retire to play golf but highly recommend them as a business and support network. great to see Mike Dowling as the new owner

I have just been dumped by my cleaner for having high standards. I have only used a Gold Coast Franchise maybe 6 times and have been disappointed with the results. I have had to ask them on several occasions to clean the bathrooms thoroughly as twice I found mould in the shower. When I brought this to their attention the night before they were due to come in and clean I received a phone call asking me if I was still happy with their services. When I told them that my hubby wasn't too impressed with a few things and expected better results for what we were paying, I was told that they no longer felt comfortable cleaning my house as it caused anxiety and because they have over 50 clients they shouldn't have to feel this way about a job. I was also told that they knew my partner had "high standards" from the moment they met him and saw our house. If you can't be bothered doing what you are paid for properly don't get offended when you are brought to task about your sloppy workmanship.

I had my car detailed by the North Lakes mob recently. I was quoted $150 for a sedan which was reasonable.
They arrived on time and setup. After about an hour and half I was told they were done with the car so I went out to inspect it. All the equipment had been packed away at this stage.

I was disappointed to find dirt still stuck in the door compartments and door handles and grooves. The upholstery still had marks which I managed to later remove with some upholstery cleaner and a cloth. The channels of the boot seals were still dirty-they had been wiped but not properly cleaned. The rims of the car still had road grime in the corners. The team leader seemed to take offence to the fact that I had pointed it out and was expecting it to be rectified.

Personally if I were cleaning a car and there was visible dirt remaining I would remove it-otherwise it's not clean, even if you wiped some of it away.

I got James Home Services to clean my house recently to get my bond back - best idea ever, after countless nights cleaning my other houses i used to live in - i decided to just let someone do it but to be honest had my doubt. without a doubt best job ever and gotback my bond no questions asked. (real estate did recommended them) - james home services all the way & no late night cleaning sessions ever again!
reliable, great price, and came over the next day!!!
didnt get a direct number!

Booked a cleaner for end of lease clean weeks in advance as I was offered a competitive price and on the day of booking no one showed up. I tried calling numerous times over a 2 hour period and eventually the same person answered the phone I had made the booking with. She advised me [name removed] doesn’t work there anymore which was a lie as it was her. She then text me another number to call which I did and left messages and no reply. I called 1800JAMES during business hours to be told it was a messaging centre and he took my details and advised someone would call me back ASAP. Still waiting days later. An absolute joke of a company and would not recommend them to anyone. I am located on the Gold Coast.

I call James Services a few months ago, i ask if they can come over and do a termite inspection. I call the main office who took my number and said somebody will call me back to arrange a time. 3 months later i still havent received a call back. I thought it was very unprofessional of them. Very dissapointed.
