I stuck with them for 7 months. They provided me with Credentialing and Medical billing. I’ve only gotten credentialed with 5 insurers after 7 months and have only had $47,000. collected. My mailbox is 90% rejections. If u terminate their contract before the one year mark they expect $2500. Per their contract, what a scam. Run away!

I have used Kareo for 10 years now. I love the fact that it is web-based and I can work anywhere and I can use remote workers when needed. Our office has been able to go paperless due to the Kareo document manager and Kfax features. No more separate costs for clearinghouse as it is included in the cost and integrated into the software! Kareo has been an integral piece to the success and growth of my medical billing company.

Began using Kareo 2012 for billing, and now scheduling. Both of these features are very user friendly and easy to instruct new employees in. The support however, is lacking. Used to be excellent for the first 3 years, but now, it is terrible. I am writing this review while sitting on hold after I had to explain to the support person how to do a simple function in Kareo. And I only called because the Chat function was not working.....I was the first person in the queue for >30 minutes, before the screen went blank. The work day was done....so said the gentleman I was speaking to when asked about what happened.

We have been using Kareo since we opened our practice in February 2018. The software is straightforward, easy to use, and the customer support has been helpful and responsive whenever we have had an issue. There are a few things we would love to see in the software itself, and we have found that the tech support side of things is receptive to feedback - which is so wonderful - and so many of the modifications we had hoped to see have already become a part of the software or are in progress! I feel lucky we chose Kareo from the start and are on the forefront of the latest and best in EHR technology - and they continually evolve to make things better and better!

I've been using this application for several medical providers for over 4 years now, less issues than other software that we use. My only real concern is that when we need support it's not easy to get a call back. In most instances I get a survey on service but never received a call from Kareo support to discuss the issue.

I have used Kareo for the past 3 years for my practice. The EHR has been very good and I have used the other modules in the past but currently only use Clinical (EHR) and Engage.

Customer services and assistance when there is a problem has significantly deteriorated over the past 6 months at least for me. When you add a service (and Kareo has been recently heavily promoting the telemedicine module) you have a personal representative and contact which is available for a short period of time then disappears and is no longer available.

I have had several problems that are significant for my practice over the last 6 months and have received no help from Kareo. I have been using the online scheduling through the Engage module. The directions are good if you are the patient scheduling an appointment for yourself but if you are a parent scheduling an appointment for a child and follow Kareo's directions, a new chart is created under the parent's name. I have tried 3-4 times to request some changes in the instructions (which would probably add a additional sentence) but this is not a concern for Kareo. One representative told me to continue to submit requests for changes and perhaps that might move my concern to a higher priority at Kareo. Online scheduling is a great option and Kareo should continue to tweak and develop this. I have a difficult time believing that this is not a problem for other Kareo practices. So, I continue to use online scheduling and have to spend extra time deleting a duplicate chart or chart created in the parent's name instead of the child's.

The other more critical problem is billing. I started with Kareo managed billing and decided I needed to move that inhouse when after several months I watched my AR climb and noticed that some accounts had not be touched for 60 days. I now have an person who does my billing but we submit our claims through Kareo and use the portal for payments.
About 3 weeks ago, changes were made by the University in the billing of Medicaid patients. These charges have also been submitted through Kareo. The minor changes have blocked our ability to continue to submit Medicaid claims for the past 3 weeks. We have made numerous attempts to get this fixed which would require 5 minutes to change and update number on the Kareo system. We have received no assistance and this problems continues to be sent to different departments. Initially it was Billing then we were told earlier this week that the Enrollment department that would need to assist us. I was promised a follow-up in 72 hours which is today.

I'm not sure what is going on at Kareo but it definitely feels that I am no longer a valued customer. They seemed to be acting more and more like a cell phone company once they know it would be very hard for you to change vendors.

Kareo does not seem committed to the success of My practice!
