I would leave a zero rating if I could. I cancelled one mow because the previous time they came out they cut my grass too close to where you could actually see dirt. The next time they came out again they charged me double to recoup the previous cancellation siting long grass as the reason. Total BS! Bad business. The BBB has this company listed as an "F" rating. Hire them at your own risk. They will not only ruin your yard but will charge you double for it!

These scammers upcharged me I thought I had a 20 dollar new customer base price and was charged an extra 40 dollars so 80 dollars lawn job WTH.... and I didn't authorize them to take the money out of my account. The support guy was extremely rude yelling at me on the phone. Horrible unles you want to be charged an extra 100 dollars for a lawn job when it should b way less don't go to them. I'm telling you they are scammers and WILL STEAL YOIR MONEY...

We've used Lawnstarter for over a year. I was satisfied with the regular service we received. As of late, however, the mower has been late by days. We were just charged on June 21 when the mower didn't even show. That mower even damaged our grill cover but we said nothing. The incident that finally got to us is when that same mower caused a rock to fly into our window and cracked it. We made a damage report but Lawnstarter said they won't pay for the damages. We're not looking to scam them, we just want them to take responsibility for the damage their mower caused. Also, don't charge us when your mower doesn't show. We're not ones to write online bad reviews, but this is unacceptable. Picture of damaged window posted below.

So far it has been ok I just wish I had more jobs to do to fill my weeks out. I already had two people cancel service on me before I even did the job and was hoping that it would get replaced by someone else but so far it hasn't been the case. Also I would like information about pay as in when do we get paid from I know it said between Tuesday and Thursday it gets put in your account but I don't know if what I do all day Tuesday will be on the pay or if I have to wait until following week like those are things I'd like to know. Ok other than that I like it very much and can't wait to see what else this has in store thank you

I signed-up for a mowing service with Lawnstarter.com and it was a nightmare from the very beginning. For the first job, they charged my credit card twice... one for $29 (w/ one time $15 discount from their normal price) and another for ~$72 ($39 + $39 (long grass charge) - one-time $15 discount) without any notice before or after the job was complete. After several emails with multiple service reps (having to explain the situation from the beginning every time), they decide to refund me $29. Needless to say, I'm pretty pissed off! I suspend my service, thinking that I would no longer be on the schedule, which would effectively cancel my subscription, but to my surprise lawnstarter has another hidden trick up their sleeve... suspending my service only stops it for only the next scheduled service. To my surprise, they have cut my grass again and charged me ~$80 again with no details on my billing details on what the charges are for.... there is no f'kn way they can claim 'long grass' charge again, cause I cut my own grass less than two weeks ago. I am now livid with this stupid-ass company. This time, I find a hidden in plain site link to cancel my subscription, but guess what?!... Lawnstarter has another trick up their sleeve. I go through the process of cancelling my service subscription and find out that my subscription will be cancelled after my third service, which means they might charge me $80 again!

This service is horrible! They charged me $115 to just mow my lawn with no edging or weeding. I explained the size of my property and they send one person to do the job which was not done correctly at all.

VERY DISSATISFIED! Poor service worker damaged my yard, cut my grass uneven and way too low. Cut flowers from my flowerbed. I filed a property damaged claim and got an email back from Jessica stating she is sorry for the poor service and damaged but she will not reimburse or replace and suggest I buy grass seeds and continue to water my grass! My grass wasn't dead or damaged until their "pro" mowed it

It's quite obvious this company doesn't vet their sub-contractors. First guy quit because we were too far from normal area of work. Second guy did the worst job I have ever seen. One section was horizontal, next vertical, both with Mohawks everywhere. He didn't bother to edge or cleanup (blow) anything. Stay away!!

Alright Second time you guys left my gate open in the backyard!! I specifically asked to shut the gate as we have a dog.... two times now. Also, the grass in the backyard was not even mowed today. I am canceling your service because your staff can't follow simple basic instructions and courtesy to close a gate after service which I don't even know why they were in backyard if they didnt mow it??

LawnStarter sent out a crew that was trying to poach their business, demanding payment separate from what we pay LawnStarter after they mowed the lawn. We did not pay them and the poaching crew sent out a person a couple days after to intimidate us at our front door into paying in which my partner was luckily home to send away as I was afraid. They later came at night and shot my car windshield with a bibi gun a day later which the glass repairman confirmed the impact point reflected it was shot by something small and round. We contacted LawnStarter who has been running us in circles and not responding for a month now. Every time we call they tell us a manager or damage team will call us back which they never do. They obviously don't care to speak on behalf of the crews they send out or care about their customer service, it's total garbage. So if you want to have people who destroy your property show up to your house to intimidate you and be out of $400 to replace damages, then go with LawnStarter.

Beware!!! I had scheduled lawn mowing services weeks in advance for a time when I would be away/traveling for over a month. On the day of the service, they wrote cancelling my service - with no backup date planned. Just a pure cancellation. So I had to scramble to find another solve with a company that is reliable - all while on the road, and in the middle of prime lawn care season. Thanks for nothing! Do not recommend.

This is a company offering good service at a fair price. I am just glad I can finally schedule my services online and since they have a comprehensive insurance policy, I don't have to worry about a provider breaking something and disappearing on me like my last guy.

Excdllent, I haven't needed to ontacy customt service at al throw in inyiaakl can. They always ask thee right question during th inistian setup and we get this access determined and working before their visit. They are all very professional

Please update your app so you can suspend the lawn service over the winter. Even on the website you can only suspend until a prescribed time. I ended up getting an unneeded lawn cut due to not remembering to cancel every 2 weeks - thankfully I then found on the website only I could suspend until March. I don't want to cancel the service, but I feel as a customer as I'm not contractually obliged to have X number of lawn services a year I should be able to suspend my account for the period that I want, not what you want.

We had a difficult start because the crew they originally assigned to me never showed up and several times posted on the LawnStarter site that the job had been done. Eventually, after several call to LS they assigned me a different crew and since then their service has been excellent. I consider the problems I originally had were caused by an unreliable crew and not necessarily LS's fault. I received that first mow free because of all the problems I'd had. So they took responsibility and gave me what I considered an appropriate solution.

I'm extremely happy with LawnStarter and their support team. I received my service on the day I requested. I noticed the crew they sent missed a few spots on my edging, reached out to support and they fixed it the very next day!

They changed my lawn man , since that happened the last couple month he has not Mowed my back yard , gate in locked not really an issue bc the time of year but still ... and the right side of my driveway clearly my property not mowed I called in I do not want Friday- Monday mow slot anything else is a two day slot , thank you

Lawn Starter is an excellent lawn service company. They are always willing to correct any issues and work with their customers. Lawnstarter is also a great place to work for. The company is genuinely cares about their customer and their employees.
