Delightful first plant (pet friendly) and pot in my first subscription delivery, really pleased! Well packaged, no spillage or damage. A good care leaflet was included inside. Looking forward to the next one!

I have an edible plants subscription and my only issue is that I was sent a lot of plants that are hard/impossible to grow in a U.K. summer without a greenhouse (e.g cantaloupes) - I don’t have a greenhouse and the assumption you’re have one was never stated. The plants are still small, but I’ve no idea what to do with them once they get bigger.

Had my first delivery this week and I'm so impressed. The quality of the plants, the care guide, the customer service and speed of delivery were all brilliant.

I cant wait for my next delivery!

This was my second box with Lazy Flora and, despite being fairly happy with my first, I was left wholly disappointed by my second.

Firstly, I did actually try to cancel after my first box as, due to the corona virus outbreak, I could no longer afford it. I could not find the option to do so on their website so instead I changed my subscription to every 3 months to give me time to work out how to go about cancelling. The next thing I knew, little over a month later I received an email to say that my box was out for delivery! By this point it was too late to try and cancel it so I just accepted that I had perhaps made a mistake and cheered myself up thinking that at least I would have some nice new plants for my garden.

Then the box arrived.

In my first box, I had two osteosperums - an orange and a purple!. In my second box, I had yet another! (Purple again) Three of the same plant in just two boxes!

In my first box, I was quite excited to receive a peony bulb with a couple of shoots. In my second box, I had the exact same peony again. Another duplicate then.

In my first box, I was pleased to get quite a range of different plants in different colours Which arrived looking healthy and ready to bloom. My second box was full of supermarket quality plants which were wilted and sad looking. All of the flowering plants were the same shade of pinky-purple - no contrast at all.

Two of the plants in my second box were an ivy and a fern - both of which I regularly have to weed out of my garden as they can be particularly invasive. When you are paying £45 for eight plants, you would expect each plant to have a value of about £5. It felt like a real cheat to get two plants in the same box that usually sell for £3 or less at most garden centres.

Many of the plants I have received, in both boxes, have been unlabelled and therefore difficult to identify. They are also not listed in either the booklet or the Dropbox file - which makes me think that I have a box of mainly replacements.

To their credit, their customer service team were quick to respond when I contacted them to complain however they seem to believe that it is acceptable to receive multiple duplicates in just two boxes. They also said that I should have received an email to confirm that they were taking payment a few weeks before my delivery and that I could have cancelled the order then if I had let them know. When I pointed out that I did not receive any such email, they just said they would look into it. They have offered me a partial refund but, even with that discount, I believe I have now paid £30 for £25 worth of plants (a number of which I would most certainly not have chosen for myself).

All-in-all, I would recommend that you save your money and support your local garden centre instead. The subscription sounds fantastic but, if like me, you are hoping to receive a variety of different plants that you wouldn’t normally come across in a supermarket selection, you may end up sorely disappointed. I know I did.
