We ordered a large crate of kiln dried ash, paying £8.95 for delivery within 2-6 working days. Contacted by courier to take delivery and that the delivery required a signature. Having taken a day off work to receive the delivery I was disappointed when it didn’t turn up, despite waiting in all day. Eventually delivered on the 8th working day after placing the order. The wood is very good quality and was well packaged.

We’ve used the Luxury Wood Company (LWC) for about four years and have always found all aspects of the service to be to our liking:
- Very helpful staff; always pleasant, polite and keen to assist in any way.
- Excellent product; we’ve had birch, oak and beech packed (very densely!) into full size crates and we did once have a full load of netted wood, the type of which I cannot remember. I’ve done spot checks on moisture content and all test results have been well within the 20% limit; the maximum I had was about 12% I seem to remember.
- The crates I’ve received are always wrapped in plastic film and covered with heavy duty plastic sheet to assist in protection from the elements and to prevent ‘spillage’ during transit. I hope the Company are looking for alternatives in view of the international drive to find replacements for plastics.
- The final stage is, of course, delivery. The company subcontracted by LWC to deliver to us in west Wales has also been extremely helpful in arranging delivery times with us as well as notifying us about an hour before their arrival. Their drivers have been polite and helpful (apart from one who has not been to us since) and they have always wheeled their fork lift trolley plus the crate along the 10m or so (30 odd feet) of our concrete driveway and into our garage where we store our wood. A tremendous help and crucial to the entire experience.
We would thoroughly recommend the Luxury Wood Company.

have had two crates of kiln dried ash which lasted me the whole winter, the wood is excellent and well packed in the crate, nice selection of sizes for starting and longer burning logs.
the crates they come in make good waterproof but airy log stores and are very useful for further use when empty.
only small gripe is communication with transport company which resulted in unexpected delivery time.

I have shopped with the luxury wood company for a few years now. Products are good quality and well priced, the service is very good and on the occasion where I may have had a small issue or question it has been handled faultlessly.

This is my 3rd year of using The luxury wood company. I can’t recommend them enough. Excellent service from start to finish. First class wood every time. In my area they use Woolners transport to deliver. They are also faultless. They call to arrange delivery that suits the customer and all the drivers are polite respectful and professional. 5 stars all round.

Ordered playbark to top up and refresh the exact same one we ordered from Luxury Wood Co in 2018 but the quality is not as good.

There is a noticeable quality difference between what we had previously and what was delivered this time - made up of lots more splintery white wood this time and I think more than the maximum 5% their website claims there to be in this product.

I know you can get cheaper playbark but I was so impressed with the quality and look of the bark last time (dark, soft, chunky nuggets) that I was happy to order the same again, but now feel I could’ve got the same quality as what had just been delivered for about £40 less.

Delivery was good - as agreed and easily delivered to where we wanted it on our drive.

Overall, disappointing.

What a waste of time ordered on the 16th May2020, wed 20th no delivery date given as promised after three days of placing order, tracking the order on Thursday 21st had not left the depot checked again on Friday 22nd May order still in the depot, Very slow on executing and delivering your order, But bloody quick in taking your money!!!!!!! on the 18th May, will I be using them again!!!

I've been using this company for years now. Delivery is usually quite quick and the wood is always good and burns well. I always get large pallets which are filled to overflowing. Excellent company and definitely recommended.

We bought our first pallet of wood from the luxury wood company last year and we will definitely use them again. The wood is really dry perfect for our wood burner, less marks on the glass and smells lovely.
Very pleased with the wood, the amount you receive excellent value and lasted all winter.

We've had our wood from the Luxury Wood Company for around 3 years now and never had cause to complain. We order either ash or oak in a large crate. It's easy to order and the progress of your order can be tracked. All our orders have been delivered on time on the day we request. Both woods we burn are good kiln dried wood. The ash seems hotter and burns faster the oak is slower burning and does not give out so much immediate heat which we prefer. Our crate is taken off the back of the lorry and the driver wheels it into our storage area. We shall continue to use this company owing to their reliability and quality of the product.

Ordered at the weekend for Tues delivery,no show, delivery company not answering phone. Email lw delivery Wed, no show. Email lw delivery Thu after 12, no show, email lw ' delivery company will phone to arrange delivery tomorrow' Friday 2.58pm delivery driver is at my house but no one is home! That would be because I didn't know you were coming because you were supposed to phone! Leave the pallet in front of the bins I'll deal with this later. I come home 90 minutes later, no pallet. Either delivery guy has blocked some random persons drive with a pallet of wood or he wanted to go home early. Either way I have paid for a pallet of wood that hasn't arrived, has caused massive inconvenience to ensure someone was home for the non deliveries x3 , I don't have the wood and assume if it is marked as delivered I have paid for the wood. Everyone has gone till Monday, I will get this sorted, but really, my mother is dying and I have so many things to deal with I really wanted a simple delivery, is that so much to ask?

I had my 3rd pallet of kiln dried ash nets delivered a few weeks ago. The last time the delivery driver left them on the path, said he wouldn't be able to wheel them to our garage where they are stored due to the grit like stones on the drive the driver was in his 20s. This time the driver wheeled them to the garage with ease, and i guess he was in his 60s. The logs were the usual high standard, and will last us a long time, as we are not big users.

Lovely dry wood, had 5 deliveries now over 2 years

Well wrapped and delivery is as stated- little moving carts wont travel on gravel as LWC states

Drivers are excellent

Communication and ordering all easy and excellent
