on-time

Set up process took 2 months.
Not satisfied at all with their customer service and support spent nearly everyday for 3 months trying to contact to get no where they couldn't even answer the phone if i rang 50 times in 10 minutes until I would go to the ombudsman then mojo would contact me back finally to then not even get anywhere again with the idiots . ment to get low income house rebate and never got that until my second last or last bill and it wasn't back paid for the other bills either . ment to get retail prices yet I change to another provider and here my bills are way less then mojo makes sense... Not ...
So anyone thinking to change to them don't waist your time and effort on doing so complete and utter stuff around the company is.

Mojo Power on the surface appears to be cheaper but when you take into account the Monthly Subscription fee you would need to be using well over 400 kw a month to be ahead, also, throw in the problem that you can't telephone them(everything is email), best to avoid the hassle, I only went with them to get a smart meter which took 5 months because they thought the town I lived in was a suburb of Sydney, very unprofessional.

I applied to join Mojo in December, finally transferred over in January, in February the meter upgrade happened but still waiting for it to come on line. They never do what they say they are going to do, and unless you jump up and down then nothing will happen. No customer Service, no commitment.

April 22nd 2017 Update: Well Mojo does it again

Today I received an email from Mojo telling me my March Bill was overdue and they are going to cut my power. Funny thing is that my April bill shows that I had overpaid my Mach Bill and I have a negative opening account balance. Another example of how Mojo operate. From applying to join in early December Last year, to finally getting connect at the end of Jan, only this week did I finally get access to my daily usage (smart meter was installed over a month ago) Anyone reading this review please take note : Mojo is not a good company to deal with. Steer Clear.

I am on their yearly subscription plan. I am provided with very cost effective power as a result. I had professional conversations around their solar offerings also getting my smart meter installed. Its a complex and messy industry to work within due to energy regulators and nationalised grid providers, but I feel Mojo are working hard to deliver a great service and shake up the industry for the better. Recommended. One improvement would be to make the process of getting smart meters installed faster. Also if you need telephone support then pay for the plan that provides it.

I have just compared electricity rates and now have moved from Mojo for the fact the current plan I have selected is 2 cents cheaper/kw with discounts than Mojo and when you factor in the subscription fee which is around $30/month the difference in meter rental cost was around $15 extra so I also saved $15 on this. monthly payement are useless as there estimate can be way out. no other incentives are offered.
surprises me they call it "wholesale rates"

I have issues with their Monthly estimates being much higher than my actual read. Advised the company of the actual meter readings. They continue to bill using estimates that were way higher than my usage. I am changing providers as a way to stop them overcharging me. Yes, when the read was taken my account went into credit which they wouldn't refund when I requested it. The estimates will even out eventually but being charged so much in advance doesn't suit me.

I have paid the $360 subscription fee (which by the way is non-refundable if you decide to leave so buyer beware), after using them now since 2016, I was at first waiting for the 'metre' it took roughly six months for this to happen due to many many stuffups and to their credit they gave me credits for the long wait, however what I hate and LOATHE with a passion is their lack of support (email only) to me even though I am an annual subscriber, and it takes many days for them to get back to me, apparently you have to pay even more to be able to speak to a real person...another bug bear is that they send you the bill and then deduct the amount THREE DAYS!!!! after getting the bill!!! WTH?? never ever heard of another business doing this before!! and when I complained about this they say 'oh its usually on the day you signed up' well given that they have NEVER provided consistent and diligence customer service and supply since day one I refuse to take that as an excuse!!

Now im looking at powershop, no subscription and on their page i uploaded mojos bills for the past month and they beat mojo every month by about $25!!! so why the heck am i paying a subscription fee for wholesale prices by mojo power when powershop is consistently beating them??? hard to explain I bet hey mojo...well this unsatisfied customer is leaving your sorry butt of a company...not good enough and NOT HAPPY at ALL... so beware to anyone thinking of joining mojo power...all is not as it seems!

June 1st 2018 Update: Payment of account ‘stuck’ in payment hell!

Well I reviewed them not long ago but now have to add the latest debacle. Hated that they kept deducting from my credit card so I deleted that option and put on my paypal account and my bank details. Then I noticed when the so called day of payment came around they didn’t deduct the payment. I left this a few days just in case I was wrong then I sent them an email and they told me that my payments were on hold and would I like to make payment now. I said of course go for it and then they took the payment from my paypal! Well that was ten days ago and the money has definitely left my bank. But it still says I owe them that money!!! I queried that four days ago and she said it was ‘stuck’ between systems and she would put out a request to match my payment!!! Well that nowkust be ‘stuck’ as well!!!! Cause nothing has changed!! Ok. Over it. Don’t join ppl. Nothing but a sham. Thought it was good. Not anymore!! Absolute nightmare to be with.

They sound good to make you join.then once you are in its all downhill from there.I got an email saying that their wholesale rate charges had to go up before i even got my first bill .hard to contact only by email and the monthly bills just kept getting higher and higher.Beware of them if you are thinking of joining.

I would not recommend Mojo having been with them for One year. Premium Support is not worth the money and the annual membership as well as ever increasing rates means I've ended up paying more for electricity than my previous providers. The increases well over the wholesale price increases by the suppliers. Also the billing format keeps changing to disguise their scam so that it becomes difficult to compare and keep track of how they are charging you. If you sign up for Premium Account they will not allow you to go back down to Basic Plan once contract expires.

I arrange for Mojo to connect power to the house that we had purchased about three weeks before our move. It turns out that they apparently didn't do what they were supposed to do and without warning electricity to our house was disconnected. It was about 24 hours before they could get it connected, during which time I was told many lies about what was happening with respect to reconnection. Despite assuring me they would be in contact as soon as power was reconnected to arrange reimbursement of our expenses incurred, it has now been five weeks and I had to contact them - oh, and because I am not a premium customer I am not worth of having a manager speak to me to confirm reimbursement. I need to wait for them, with their usual customer service skills (AKA none!) to contact me when they feel like it.

When I add together their charges for a three month period it is almost double what my previous supplier charged. All on their "estimate" of what I would use. They said they would refund any extra when meter was read but never did. How can they possibly estimate what a person will use.

Everything was perfect I was saving $100's of dollars with mojo then the next monthly bill came!
In the email it said,

Please see your electricity bill attached.

You'll notice that your electricity bill may be higher than what you have previously received.

Sometimes we are unable to bill you for the electricity you have actually used. This happens when we do not have access to your actual usage data from your meter and need to bill you based on estimates. These estimates are based on your historical usage, plus other factors such as weather and seasonality.

Then I looked at the actual bill and nearly died!
$500 for 1 f@&#ing month!!!!!
My bill is always $60- $65 per month. I am beyond furious!!!!!!

I attempted to connect to Mojo in November 2016, but after six months waiting for them to install their smart meter (the whole reason for joining), they called to advise that the meter would not fit in the space provided so they could not proceed with their promised online meter reading system.

I disconnected when I moved out in late May 2017 and they sent my final bill on July 4th with a due date of July 7th. I received a call from their debt collectors on July 7th demanding full payment.

They have no live operators to talk to (unless you count live chat) and don't really deliver what they promised.

My advice, pay a little more, get a real power company by going elsewhere!

We switched to Mojo Power a few months ago and, after doing a full analysis with my last provider, we saved almost $200 over the quarter, even after taking into account the discount given by the previous supplier. Very happy.

I wrote the very first review of this thread and at the time I had dealt with many power providers to get a deal after the NSW solar rebate scheme ending and Mojo were by far and away the most responsive and seemed to have the cheapest option, so signed up with Mojo in December, 2016. However, I have to say that our experience with Mojo since signing up has been less than satisfactory. Although a smart meter was installed in January which we thought was timely and no complaints, we have not been able to access the biggest benefit of the plan we enrolled in with Mojo which is real time usage monitoring of our electricity usage. In other words we have a dumb smart meter, no ability to connect online and monitor and regulate our electricity usage to our advantage given we have solar panels. To add insult to injury, today we received notice from Mojo that the charges for our electricity will increase from April 12! Wow, this mob sure have some gall! My only concern now is that Mojo in an unregulated environment will continually increase their so-called wholesale rates every 6 months, or whenever the Stakeholders demand. Can't help but feel we were scammed by this mob. In the end the NSW State Government is to blame for the mess that we now have with NSW energy supply and cost.

I have nothing but praise for Mojo not only is the product superior to any other running around (and yes I mean price) but their customer service is second to none, no issue too big or too hard, they address it promptly and with a smile, cant ask for more than that nowadays, truly one of my favourite brands

I was with Mojo for 2year,s at the end still did not understand there billing process, under charged one month over charge the next balanced out on the 3 rd., so they say. They will not communicate by phone. I made a contract on 13 th. Aug to change to Momentum took to 28 th Sept. For the change over, then charged $360 for the yearly fee to Aug. 2019. My advise stay away.

6 Feb I got my account by e-mail. Consumption readings were estimates: end reads at 30 Jan were 92852.774 for general supply, 42064.491 for off-peak hot water. At 6.15 pm 6 Feb actual readings were 92412.4 (even after several hot days during which the air con was used for many hours) and 41828.0, respectively. I know that eventually it's all sorted out by actual readings but I'm lucky in that overpayments based on estimates between actual readings don't impose financial hardship. Maybe the algorithm for estimates can be worked on after a year's experience.

After 40 years with the same electricity company I ask what better deal was available, They said they had nothing to offer . So I checked out MOJO POWER , 1 Phone call convinced me I would save a lot of money with them . So concerned was my original supplier they ask what they could do for me , To keep me as one of their customers. MOJO POWER Has shown me the light . So the choice between ORIGIN and MOJO POWER was very simple.
