He has explained everything so clearly and in terms we understood throughout the whole remortgage process.
From the initial consultation; to sourcing the best mortgage for us, to the completion, we have not had to worry about anything.
We are more than happy with our new mortgage and would highly recommend Richard to anyone considering changing their mortgage provider.
2 years passed and they contacted me as my fixed rate was coming to an end and they said they could help me find a better deal. I was dubious as my circumstances have changed and I hadn’t had any luck elsewhere, but stupidly on my part, I agreed to let them look into it. Within half an hour, I was emailed to say I could remortgage and save £100 a month and had no fees to pay (sounds too good to be true right?) Of course I was interested. I then was emailed lots of documents for me to print, sign and get witnessed and send back, which I did. Took time out of my workday to have a valuation done, plus 2 credit searches on my report appeared. I then recieved a letter from this new mortgage company (who I had not even been told the name of or been given any official offer from etc) to say they cannot help due to me having a help to buy mortgage (which mortgage experience knew as they set it up in the first place). Back to the drawing board. I was then offered another deal at £90 less a month with £1000 cash back and no fees to pay (again, I was very sceptical). Same process followed of signing and witnessing documents and having another valuation etc and I was told the second valuation came back fine too. I then heard nothing from the broker. I emailed and then recieved a very panicked sounding voicemail from someone I had never dealt with before saying I need to contact them urgently. I did, and was told my original broker had left without notice and this new broker would be dealing with me from now on. I had to send all of the correspondence across from the first broke as they said they didn’t have a record of it, and was also told the valuation had been done at 20k less than it needed to be (& 15k less than I bought it for 2 years ago) but it is okay, they think it is a typo and will challenge it. I then heard from a 3rd broker saying he would be dealing with me from now on and the valuation was not a typo so they will challenge it. I explained it should’ve already been challenged and he said it had not been. I was then told I could have a different deal, then same story again, I don’t meet criteria. Then I was told he could not deal with me, and I had to go back to broker number 1 who no longer works for the company. I arranged a call back with broker number 1 which never came, but another email from broker number 3 saying actually, broker number 1 can’t deal with me and they cannot help me remortgage or switch to a better rate with my current mortgage and no explanation. I have never dealt with such a shambolic company and complete lack of customer care, especially considering mortgages are extremely important, and very stressful when you know the fixed rate is ending and will go up by £80+ a month. I have had no choice but to leave this review here as they do not have any other way to complain directly to them.
