Nisbets

omg I work for 2 charities and ordered from these and they ran a credit check on me without me seeing anywhere on their site that they would. How rude when I had paid for the little things I had ordered. I got a lovely email off their customer services that couldn't have been nicer but buyer beware.

Avoid buying any large electrical items from this lot like the plague. Once they have your money they really don't give a damn. So purchased about £3500 of large items being a cooker, tall Polar Fridge and Polar Freezer, items arrived, kerbside delivery which is fine, got 3 lads to help lift in and site. Fridge fine. Freezer had a dent so raised that with Nisbet's, got offered £30 of vouchers?? Or they would swap. Bear on mind none of this is dealt with by Nisbet's they use a third party support team. Then the freezer did not work as the control panel had come loose. The support firm said they would send an engineer out to fix it. They then called and said they could not get the control unit till April was it ok to wait, that's 4 months with no freezer, guess what we said no. So they said they will swap but only kerbside, I did say why should I have to get 3 people back twice to remove it and site the replacement and that they should do that. Not a service they offered they said. Well they then said they do but I have to pay. So it is a service they can offer. Our sparky fixed the controller. Told the service firm to send over the vouchers so we can buy a pot. Oh and to top it all off, Nisbets sell the control (as do about 1000 other firms as its a standard Dixell unit) and had them in stock!! Would be funny if it were not so much money involved.

We ordered a fridge last Wednesday and it finally arrived yesterday (Monday). Left it for 12 hours as instructed and turned it on late last night. This morning we found it was running hot rather than cold. Rang for an engineer really early this morning. Waited and waited for a response. Chased twice and finally told can't get an engineer out yet - maybe tomorrow. So I asked for a replacement fridge and was told they would have to raise a new order and I would have to wait days!!!! Apparently because I ordered the fridge last week and am only just letting them know now it doesn't work we are not entitled to a replacement and the fact that they are offering one means they are going over and above.

As a whole i believe nisbets to be a good company however they need to review their relationship with their couriers. I use to spend a lot of money with them however last Thursday i ordered a wine fridge and a beer chiller for next day delivery as needed for an event on Saturday. The wine fridge arrived as promised but not the chiller, i was told it would be definitely be with us on Saturday between 8 and 12. at 12.30 i called to chase and was told it was on route by 4pm i called again to be told they cannot contact their couriers on weekends so couldn't give me any more info, had i known earlier i could gave tried to source locally as it left us in a right pickle. On Monday i called and they informed me the courier couldn't fit in on his van so i was told porkies by them all weekend. i cancelled my order as will not pay for this kind of poor service, i ended up by locally for a better price and far more reliable service. I cant believe a company the size of nisbets puts themselves in this predicament with their couriers. The zist of this is if you do buy from them do not order later than Wednesday to have a chance of it arriving on time and certainly don't order on Friday to avoid the massive inconvenience we did!!!

We are still fighting to get our money back. Although we have consumer rights behind us, that allow us to ask for a refund on a coffee machine we purchased ,within 14 days, whatever the reason, as it was over the internet. The machine is sold as a professional level coffee maker but it is not and we have tried for nigh on two weeks every day to get the machine back to them and get our money back. All they do is keep fobbing us off with excuses and saying that the manager will get back to us. They clearly have a system of employing people to fob off until you get fed up. Seems this great customer service is a clever marketing ploy but has an underlying dark side. Be very aware when buying from these characters. We are now speaking to trading standards and our solicitor, Biggest thing is that it is our sons business of 21 years old and the money the machine cost is everything he has and so it is effecting his young business.

ordered same fridge twice over 2 months still no order these guys have got you running around in circles multiple phone calls to get no were keep blaming he bank ,,they also claim to have stock that they dont customer service just hung up on me,,there not worth ordering with them choose another company save ourself the hassle 2 full months wasted and add the time online trying to sort it all out there just did.nt care (buyers beware )

First 3 items delivered on time but still waiting on 4th item over a week late now

I have been getting stuff from nisbetts for a few years and I find them most efficient and prompt delivery service,would highly recommend them.

the other product is due in may 5th I could have waited till then for bothe product the first arrived very fast on april 24th

I received two shipments on consecutive days, they could have been consolidated to keep freight costs down.

Easy to purchase and delivery was incredible quick - ordered in the afternoon and it arrived the next morning!

Service was fantastic, ordered one afternoon and delivered the next morning.

Ship goods same day as promised
Don’t send an email asking for personal information and saying the information is required before shipping will occur when such precondition is not advised before salecomplete and I have paid account
Ensure good arrive at same time - 2 boxes - one delivered a week ago - when chased - one promised today

The sales rep at the counter guaranteed that the three decanters that I ordered would be delivered the following day - in time for the dinner that evening.
They were not delivered until the day after - hugely disappointing.

Purchased 2 Victorinox knife. Items as described. All perfect. Delivery super quick. Would highly recommend for anyone to buy from this site.

ordered a product to be delivered by the 19th June for me to then receive and email to state i wont get it until 7th July totally unacceptable if the item isn't ready or in stock i should have been advised otherwise before buying..
