My fiance bought me the perfect halo style engagement ring from this site and it is GORGEOUS! WIth so many different diamond sites to choose from, I am so glad he found this one! They offer free shipping and returns which is nice to know just in case.

My purchase history goes back to 14 years ago when I bought a diamond engagement ring from Mike in 2004. Since then I purchased a diamond pendant, a diamond band, and a new setting of my engagement ring from him. All my transactions were so smooth, prompt, informative, and professional. I was truly thankful that I just happened to find him by searching on-line. Many people find it difficult to order on-line when it comes to such a high priced jewelry, especially diamond products. All I can say is that my purchased items were very high in quality with very competitive prices. I do value Mikes personal input in finding the best products and design. I highly recommend Mike and his service. Very best experience, A++ seller with top quality and care! I will definitely come back again in the future.

I would like to thank McGivern Diamonds for providing such a great service. I found McGivern Diamonds online and was skeptical about buying online without seeing the diamond in person. After doing some research at local jewelry stores I had a idea of price, size, color, cut and all that good stuff. Being skeptical I called Michael five times before I purchased and he was by far the most helpful of all the jewelers I spoke with, never rushing me off the phone. He thoroughly explained the difference between GIA and EGL ratings. When I finally decided on the perfect diamond that fit my price and quality criteria I called McGiverns and spoke to Michael. I gave him the stock number and he informed me it was sold, he said he would look for a similar stone and give me a call back. I thought here comes the bait and switch. 15 minutes later Michael called me back and said he had found a comparable diamond that he would give me for the same price. I asked for the stock number and looked it up on his web site, to my surprise it was priced 1100$ higher and was better quality. I quickly called back and said I would take it. I was going the Vegas 8 days later to propose and asked if I could have the ring set and sent by the end of the week. I purchased on a Sat and the ring arrived on the following Friday just as Michael said it would. This being a special time in our lives we couldn't be happier with our diamond and with the quality service McGivern provided. Don't hesitate to use McGivern Diamomds.

McGivern Diamonds was highly recommended to me by a friend in graduate school when I was looking for an engagement setting and stone. Could not have been happier with the service, quality, and communication. Shopping for something so important online without going to a brick and mortar is a bit scary but Michael McGivern helped me every step of the way. He custom designed a setting I saw in a jewelry store and liked, however, he did this by only seeing pictures! I'm a picky shopper and went through many different stones before deciding on one. I felt the service and communication far exceeded anything I've found in a local jewelry store. Highly recommend!!!

Words can't describe how patient and professional Mike and his staff were. As a first time buyer of an engagement set, I was nervous with the whole process of buying an engagement ring. Mike worked with me directly to build and create a perfect wedding set that I'm beyond thrilled to give to my future fiance. Any question I had on pricing, style recommendation, etc. he was able to answer very quickly. I HIGHLY recommend McGivern Diamonds to anyone looking for fantastic service at an affordable price!

So easy to deal with... I ordered it on Monday had the money transferred by Tuesday and Thursday morning I received the diamond via FedEx. Smooth friendly efficient service. I would highly recommend McGivern to anyone.

I talked to Mike (the owner of McGivern) back in April about surprising my wife with an engagement ring. I wanted to do it that weekend and he was able to help me choose a diamond and ring over the phone on Monday and have it custom made, set, & shipped to me in California by that Saturday so I could do the proposal on Sunday. My wife loved the engagement ring and then we worked with Mike on creating 2 custom wedding bands to go around her ring and he was able to get those to us very fast as well. When we got the rings, they looked bigger on her hand then we had thought and Mike was kind enough to let us return the rings and get new ones made. Through out the process he's been super helpful, responsive, kind, and easy to work with. He well exceeded our expectations in every area and we plan to use him as our sole jeweler going forward.

We chose and ordered a diamond and setting from McGivern on Sunday afternoon. The ring shipped on Wednesday and arrived on Friday. We were thrilled with the quality. The diamond was bigger and better than we saw locally for $ 1,000 more.

Will I buy from McGivern again? I already have. After receiving the diamond ring we visited local jewelers to find a complementary wedding band. Bottom line . . . we found the ring we wanted with a higher qaulity at half the price quoted from our mall jewelers.

I might add that I emailed a question to Mike on Sunday afternoon and had a response back within two hours. It looks like Mike is working hard to build a solid reputation for customer service.

Mike & his team have helped us with several significant jewelry purchases during the last 4-5 years. With each purchase he was always concerned foremost about our satisfaction. I have purchased diamonds from McGiverns four or five separate times through the years, and have always received quick and excellent service, as well as attractive prices. My fiancee received McGivern's name from a family friend who bought their now wife's engagement and wedding bands through them. My fiancee said he had such a great experience with Mike and was really happy with the quality and pricing during the design process that he was absolutely on board when I said I wanted to get my wedding band through them as well.
I am long-winded and ask a lot of questions :) but Mike was really thorough, giving me his suggestions and letting me know what else they had available in inventory similar to what I wanted, and very patient with me through our email communications. He was also able to work with me on pricing when it came down to it.
I give McGivern 2 thumbs up! Thanks Mike!

I had been looking for the perfect stone for a long time and coming up short when someone suggested I check out McGivern Diamonds so I did and I could not be happier. Four years ago I needed to replace my lost engagement ring. It was underinsured and I wanted something as nice or nicer than I had. Even before getting the insurance check I began to “shop” retail and on line. At some point I found Mike’s site and with his wonderful “select a diamond” feature I was able to find several stones listed that I was interested in. I called him up, told him what my budget was, what my “wish” was and the three stones I found that might work. I had also found a mounting I really liked. He was so great to work with. He actually mentioned and sent the GIA sheet to me to look at a stone which was within my range and even larger than the one I lost. At that point I wasn’t able to afford the mounting I wanted. He worked that by putting just a slightly lower quality diamonds in (they are so tiny you could never tell that). Got my new dream ring within budget and was thrilled. Always get compliments.

Couple of weeks ago I realized that one of those tiny diamonds was missing and I contacted my insurance company and Mike and they talked then we talked and the diamond was replaced, the major stone was checked out and he made sure it was still sitting snuggly in its beautiful mounting. Got the ring back yesterday and once again it is stunningly beautiful. Apparently, according to my friends, I took a major chance buying a diamond on line. Well, I’ve never dealt with anyone in this business that has the integrity and the dedication to superior customer service as Mike. I highly recommend him when you are looking for something lovely.

15 years ago I bought an ring from McGiverns. Service was excellent back then and Mike was courteous and extremely helpful. Recently I was shopping for diamond engagement ring so I needed a person I could trust. One thing that has not changed in the last 15 years is the top notch service that Mike provides to his customers. I am 63 and have purchased six diamonds from McGivern's over the past few years. I know about the CCC's and more. He has always sent me exactly what I want--overnight. His prices are the best I've seen. His settings craftsmanship is gorgeous! He has a policy that if you don't like the diamond, you may return it for one you do like. He has never failed me! I have used McGivern Diamonds for three transactions in the last ten years. The level of service Michael McGivern delivers is first rate. The selection is vast (it took me MONTHS to go through their inventory); I would recommend keeping a folder or log or your favorites..because it is very easy to get overwhelmed in the process - so many choices!

The quality is unmatched. Michael will not sell you anything less than what you are looking for. He considers your budget, your most important quality (size? sparkle? color?), and your lifestyle when recommending a ring or diamond. He makes your dollar go a long way and he NEVER pressures you into a sale. He answers your questions as honest and straight-forward as he can, then leaves it to YOU to navigate your choice from there.

His prices are hard to beat. I don't know of any local jeweler who would be happy about releasing the same diamond at the same price.

I have recommended him before and I would recommend him again. This is the first time I have written a review about any business.
