I ordered my products a full 7 days ago, paid for the express 24 hour processing and 2 day air shipping, since I needed these parts fairly quickly for a repair. I didn't receive notice that the item shipped until 5 days in, and I still have not received my product.

They got the hard drive I ordered in just two days, from California to New York! Great Job! Hard Drive works like it should, THANK YOU!

don't put a 2 day express. if you guys would tittle 7 day express would be more like it. also the tracking for your fedex is frankly shit. and the wire manage is so bad also found motherboards screws in case.but at least your customer service kicked ass.they were great email me when they said they was going to and with answer.

I recently ordered multiple items. Most sites take forever to ship out electronics but not Portatech. I have ordered from this company twice before for my computer parts and haven't been let down on quality of product I wanted.

I ordered a barebones system on July 1st. Since July 10th, I have called Portatech's number which gives a message that their mailbox is full; sent an e-mail to the customer service contact listed on their site; submitted a contact form on their site; called the number on their related site SMK Superstore twice (left voicemails) and sent a DM on Facebook. I received no response from any of those methods. Since I paid using Paypal, I then submitted a complaint through them. They too received no response as well and have refunded my money. This company has related businesses (PortaTech, PC Boost LLC, SMK Superstore and 1st Choice Memory) although there are probably more. There is no judgement here. This is just recounting what I experienced with them.

I have ordered from them several times in the past and will continue to going forward. When I realized I selected the incorrect shipping, they were very quick to correct my error. Additionally, when I had questions regarding the shipper they were at the ready to assist there too. Not only did I get a great price on the product, but when you also get excellent customer service it is truly a joy. I have ordered from a number of vendors for various things but have never been disappointed with ProtaTech!

3 days from order to my door. Hardware was perfect and at least $200 cheaper than from big boys. I would definitely order again.

I ordered my new ASUS GTX 960 video card with express handling and Porta Tech delivered like a BOSS! The order went out the next day and shipping was flawless via USPS. Great job!

The MB finally arrived today. I'm delighted and anxious to install the board. The only thing lacking at the moment are the DD3 memory chips, which I don't have, but will buy. I'm glad it's on a mini-tx board which fits my box just right. I must apologize to the patient folks at Portatech for my rants about the status report number. I didn't know what was happening. but they patiently stuck with me. Fine bunch of people. I'll probably turn to them for additional help. I recommend them for computer supplies .

The pre built pc I oredered hasn't arrived and I ordered it July 6th and it's now July 21st. I have typed my number and zipcode for the tracking of my package and it directs me to call customer service and that my order has been place on hold. I have called customer service times and the mailbox is always full. I was going to call and get a GPU on it since I ordered without a GPU and I haven't got in touch with customer service to get that put on even though the computer on it has a built in GPU. My number for tracking is 223798.

I ordered an Asus H81M-C/CSM motherboard combo with i3-4150 CPU, 4GB DRAM, along with a hard drive, DVD-RW drive, and premium setup. On the plus side, Protatech has what I consider to be a nicely laid out website, making it easy to choose a motherboard and CPU based upon price and relative performance. It then takes the user to a page to select options and peripherals while providing a running cost total. Also, I had presales technical questions about the motherboard I wanted which Portatech promptly answered via email. They are knowledgeable about their products and respond readily to customer emails. The product was packed well, shipped promptly, and it works well. On the negative side, I noticed a couple of minor issues. Firstly, I paid for premium setup and discovered later that my BIOS version was quite old (by several revisions). The premium setup is supposed to include a BIOS upgrade, so they obviously skipped that step. Secondly, I noticed that when I powered off the system, the BIOS would lose its settings, so the coin cell they provided in the motherboard was weak. I replaced the coin cell and downloaded the BIOS update from Asus' website to bring everything to normal.

I have been in tech support for the last 20 years and can easily assemble my own machines. I used these guys on several occasions to source barebones machines and save time on assembly. Good prices and great customizability. Until my final order last October 2015.

I unpacked a gaming rig that I had ordered and discovered that it had been dropped on the right rear corner. Hard. Like dented the case so severely that the video card had been popped out of its slot. They shipped me just a new case chassis, so I had to move ALL other parts to the new case, including the case buttons. Only then did I discover damage to the video card -- freezes whenever it was under load. They shipped me a new one and there were fewer freezes, but not zero. After TWO MONTHS of going back and forth with them, I asked for a refund. They gave it to me minus about $150 bucks of the original price. Because THEY SCREWED UP and HID IT. I sound really angry, but I'm really more frustrated, hurt, and bitter. :(

I'd sooner become the guy who scrapes maggots out of a garbage truck before ordering from them again.

Ordered a computer on July 5. Almost 2 weeks later no update on delivery / tracking number or actual status other than a general delivery window that has indicated the same thing for over a week. Computer should have arrived by now - or at least a tracking number and indication it was delayed. All emails go unanswered, phone indicates voicemail is full every day. Just like several others that have posted some reviews / comments. Filed a claim with my credit card company. No way to cancel an order other than sending an email or a web form entry since no one answers the phone (or emails, or webform inquiries). So there is no way to actually cancel an order and get a refund I am guessing other than letting the credit card company handle it. Am hoping it is some oversight but with several days of no response and no way to call it doesn't look promising. If so will update my comment.

I ordered GTX1080 8G. Instead, the system came with GTX1060 6GB. I hope this is not a cheap scam.

The order came from California to East Coast. The packaging was damaged and there was a small dent on the front of the casing.
The CPU fan was attached with metal brackets which most likely came off during transportation.

UPDATE: The customer service was responsive to correct the mistake and sent the correct card. I have returned the system and I am waiting for full refund. Perhaps I just had bad luck.

I purchased a custom PC from these folks 2 years ago.
Very nice water cooled unit. Worked flawlessly.
Then the water cooler failed and the CPU began shutting the unit down.
With 4 days of warranty left, I called PortaTech. Very nice people. Told me to get the cooler on in and they would check it. And not to worry about the expiration of the warranty. Got it to them on the last day and they shipped me a new replacement immediately. Lost a couple of small pieces of hardware and they sent replacements at no cost. Definitely a great group to do business with. I will buy from them again!

This is the second Mother Board I bought from Porta Tech and although this one had the wrong CPU fan, Porta Tech sent me the correct fan the next day. I really like the way they allow you to pick the CPU, Motherboard, and other options and show the total cost. This makes it very easy to get what I want and in the price range I want. My next Motherboard will come from Porta Tech.

I have been buying from PortaTech for years. Their products and service are always "First Class", at bargain prices. I plan to continue.

I picked the parts ,I then went over it with customer service and placed the order on a Friday and received the MB/CPU/RAM combo the next friday..cool...thx
