Long story short, I have cashed out my super funds waited a week for it to get approved, after approval I received a text saying they’ve deposited the amount into my bank and it should take 3-5 days, waited almost 2 weeks and got another text saying it has been rejected by my bank and I need to call them to re discuss my bank details. Now this is the 4th day in a row I have been calling and waiting approximately 2/3 hours on waiting then my calls getting disconnected by it self! Very poor and I would suggest everyone here to go with either Australian Super or QSuper as these guys sucks at their jobs

I have been a member since I started working at 16 years old. I was approved on the 20th by ATO, got a notification from Rest the following Monday and funds transferred to account the day after the message. I was anxious that I may expect a huge delay after reading many reviews because most were negative so I messaged them here but I am one of the few who will positively say they are very responsive despite having so many inquiries sent to them by lots of people. They actually will try to solve the issue as much as possible as they can. Thank you for the prompt responses Rest Super Team. My tip to everyone prior to claiming their Super, make sure you put the correct bank details or have notified Rest and ATO of any personal details that has changed such as name for easy verification, make sure you got the right bank account and if you aren't sure if you got it right after lodging the claim, call the ATO to double check. Gave 5-stars for the quick responses and good customer service. Thank you again.

Deposited 100 thousand dollars to my acc on 1st April still no show rang 7times told it's a IT problem ,wander what managers or directors would say if it was their money. Maybe they don't use rest super

For approximately more than 8 months I'm a part of rest superannuation, and not much satisfied as I don't like customer service. I have lost some amount on the name of the contribution tax as well.

I've been with rest for 25 years, not at all satisfied. Their customer service is non existent and they've made changes to my insurance with only one email notification that I can't dispute as they won't answer the phone, respond to emails.

The worst service ever, I have been getting replies that they are processing my funds every week, but still have not received it, you wait two hours on the phone before they hang up on you. I have been a member since so long and that is the way I get treated, it's just unacceptable, I was first told it was done on the 29th of April, then had some issues so they told me it will be done by the 11th of May, well they decided I needed to wait an extra 10 days, so it would have then been done on the 22nd of May, and now it's the 26th of May and they advice on their chat it's going to be an extra 5 days plus 1-3 days for the bank, what a joke guys, as soon as I get my money I will never use this company ever again

Hi,

This is my desperate 4th or 5th attempt to contact REST via Email, Phone, Chat but nothing is working. This is really pathetic. I have initiated a Partial rollover of my fund to my other super. I have been told via email that it will take 5 days and it will be done. Its not yet done even after more than almost 40 days.
Can someone from REST please care enough to call its customer when they lodge complaint via email or online.

I had been approved by ato on the 24th of April and still waiting for my super, you all are a joke!!! Start taking this seriously as i have complained to the afca! I have been your member since 1999 and this is the treatment you get!! I will be rolling my funds somewhere else. Start replying to your customers, its not that hard! Stop the lies

I have been with REST since 2010. I cannot express in words how fast I will be pulling out of this superfund once or if I see a cent of my money.
I was told first it was processing, then I was told my bank details were Incorrect and it had bounced back. Yet I called my bank and was told the two digits missing would not affect my actual account number?

Somehow the $7000 I applied for is gone, and has been gone for almost a month. Yet I have seen NOTHING. Not a damn cent. I have sent numerous messages, called and an email needing an update as to where my super is?!?! I am currently sitting on the phone and very quickly losing my last strand of patience. I cannot get a straight forward answer or time frame on when I’m meant to see my funds. It’s been nearly 5 days (20/5) will mark 5 days exactly from when they received my “correct” account number. And in my messages it says up to 5 days to be processed after receiving updated details.

Yet here we are, it has been nearly a month, I’m missing $7,000 from my super and have $0 to show for it in my account. No further communication in regards as to where my processing is at.

I will be lodging a formal complaint against REST, once I receive my money I will be taking my business to Sun Super.

The customer service team are wonderful, and I will never take my anger out on people just doing their jobs. But I am at my wits end with all of this.
This is MORE stressful than being stood down for 4.5 weeks during Covid-19 lockdown.

I also got the same text it’s now been 3 weeks since I have had approval and rest has already sent an email 3 weeks saying they have received it. I have called twice now to verify my details and check what on earth is happening....what does this text mean??? We need anwsers REST this is outrageous. Misleading and incorrect information provided to your customers...this is not ok...and you can not claim to be doing these checks for the good of your customers,paying your customers our money is doing us good! We’ve been hit hard and playing god like this is such a bad look - zero super companies are not making people’s lives harder....just you guys.

Have been waiting since 1st May when i received a txt msg from Rest saying they have got confirmation from the ATO to release my money. Still waiting...I have been disconnected 2twice after waiting on the line for over 1h. One time i got through to a person, she said she was going to put me on hold to check what is going on with my release payment, got disconnected. I hope someone blows the whistle on this company, i can't see anyone that has been waiting for more than 3 weeks after getting the txt msg still staying by this company. I wonder if those in the company that are earning north of 120k still keep their jobs after this whole nightmare is over with. I think everyone that has been effected by Rest should have all their monthly fees waived at a minimum for 2 years!

Their customer service agents mislead
They are incredibly unprofessional
They lie and delay time frames and have no actual structure
Their website and chat functions crash constantly
My fund has barely grown in the 5 years I’ve had it.
Awful awful experience, ombudsman being contacted imminently.

3 weeks and still no money, I wait on hold for over an hour only to be hung up on. I waited the 5 days after receiving the text stating super was released. I contacted Rest and was told my account was flagged, I needed to send through a bank statement, license and a god damn selfie. Was told I would be contacted, once it was completed. All I get is excuse after excuse, where is my money???? I am reading so many people are being told the same thing and given the same run around. What is going on?

I have experience where the ATO has already approved my early super release, up until today I haven't received anything. it does sent me text message on the 1st of may saying that "Hi *****, we've received confirmation that the ATO has approved your application for COVID-19 early release of super. There's no need for you to do anything further at this stage. We're sorry for the delay and we're working over the weekend to get the money to you as soon as possible."

Did they even think that the financial situation of ppl has changed dramatically because of COVID-19?

if they do, I guess sending email/contacting the person is not that hard ?
Even I still need to wait 2hours of multiple calls to get to their service call and even answering all the question related to my details doesn't really help until now.
+they said on that we can contact them via online chat, however they blocked it and says it busy.

doesn't really help at all..

it's dealing with our money and it's really hard when we already got the approval?
C'mon, we've lost some money on our super before this things happened, and when we're about to claim we got delayed when we really needed ?

I have been waiting for 20 days, since I received email for my early replace super! i been trying to call this people, emails, chat! 1 hour waiting on the phone...still I have no idea if they will give me my money. definitely no good. I will definitely not leave my money with this company.

28th of last month my release started.
Been on the phone every day.
5 hours today I wasted just waiting for some to answer the phone nothing.
It seem rest is all about the money and not the people.
I wait I guess till some emails or replies to my messages. Which has been taking days to not even have my questions answered.

Its been more than 3 weeks my application for super access is approved but still the payment hasnot been made and donot know how long they will take even they are not responding or not communicating with me about my super.

I’ve been lead to believe that the delay was my fault and that they had to do fraud checks and apparently my details where incorrect
but now reading the other reviews it seems something is very seriously wrong here.
The amount I applied for has been removed from my super balance but I have not seen even one cent of it.
After numerous calls and emails they tell me my claim has been marked as urgent then it’s escalated (its been escalated a few times now).
Then last week I received a text stating that my claim was processed and I thought finally I can get my claim and can move my super out of their grasp and to another fund. Turns out it was never processed and I shouldn’t have received that message.
The person Jez whom I spoke to today seem to think it was some big joke “oh sorry you shouldn’t have got that message “ and “we can’t give you a time frame”
These people are a disgusting. Lowest of the low.
Like everyone else struggling to pay bills and these people think its funny and no big deal.
I’m moving funds everyone should do the same.

less than a year my wife she had $269 in her super account and today we get a letter to say the whole lot was gone thieves!! absolutely disgusting to take that all out in fees without contacting us Criminals! Just found out the employer didn't let you ppl know until September yet she stopped working in start of June 2019 as only there a few weeks! she was no longer working there yet you still took out insurance on her! the super account was classed as low fee inactive and should have been moved to the ATO! and that is directly from the ATO woman on the phone today ! as for your response you seem to forget its real money People are not numbers and to sign your name to that response you have no morals or integrity! Disgraceful! how do you ppl sleep at night? !!!
