My first email to them:

Dear Sir,

I am writing this email with the spare time I have due to cancelling my plans for this evening to get my oven fixed.

When I phoned up your business, you were the third company that I was getting a quote with, and despite being the most expensive, your no- nonsense same day approach sold me and I booked my oven repair immediately.

After cancelling my plans for the evening, because I really just wanted my oven fixed ASAP, I was incredibly annoyed when no one turned up, and not even a phone call was made.

The next day I phoned you and you said that the power had gone out. While I understand this was an unexpected disruption to your business, the fact that I was not even called the next day with an apology was plain rude. Yet, unfortunately bad customer service is not unusual so I got over it and rebooked in for tonight.

I can barely believe it, but no one has turned up for a second night in a row. I’m trying to think why this might be. If you were lost, you could have called me, if you were delayed, you could have called me, if your building burnt down or a loved one died, there should be a crisis action plan in place. I run a small business and I know I sure as hell can’t afford to lose customers, it just seems like you really don’t respect the time of your customers or need the business. I don’t imagine you would be impressed if you arrive on a job and no one was home. Then after various excuses by the customer were made, you reluctantly came back to do the job only for the same thing to happen again.

Do you understand my frustration? If you don’t actually fix ovens and just have your website as a cover to disguise the fact you are actually an international drug smuggling cohort or something along those lines, everything would make sense and in which case, feel free not to respond to my email.

Oven blew up on Saturday night, called Same Day Appliance Repairs Sunday morning. Technician turned up within one and half hours and did a great job and fixed it. Great service, I highly recommend them.

I would like to advise every one using this service that the owner is very arrogant in his manner, not customer focused at all.
I was quoted $198.00 for first visit plus the cost of parts if any are required, which I agreed . The tech arrived had excellent people skills and kept me advised of what was what as he worked , he was a good bloke. He advised that there was a return valve that needed replacing but it was not vital. About two hours after I received a call from the owner advising me that the return valve was vital and he could source one in Brisbane for $138.00 fitted same tech arrived next day and fitted the small plastic part I paid and he left I then checked the part number on line And I could by the part for $18.18 plus postage of $10.00 so be advised the owner is a rip off artist

On first contact I was told the call out included 30 minutes repair time, the repairer was in my apartment for 7 minutes and needed to order the part and return to fit it. He told me that I would only have to pay a further cost for the part. $220 later...... I am told over the phone that the part and further labour cost will be another $278. Or $231:20 if I had a man to help lift the dryer off the front loader. In future I will go through Meile they have recommended reputable repairers in Brisbane.

Had a problem with dishwasher - 3 different technicians came out on 3 different occasions - each one diagnosed a different problem. Charged every time someone came out. Problem still not rectified. Spoke to the owner who was rude,brash and aggressive. After reading all the previous negative comments, why are they still in business? I should have read the reviews before engaging them.

Same Day Appliance Repairs are very effective and actually come out on the same day you call them! They also tested the actual water flow pressure of the tap connected to the washing machine, which was not done by the competitor and advised me how to fix the water flow problem. They also offer a two-year warranty.

I made the mistake to call a competitor who came out, charged me an hour's labour for a 20 minute look, didn't carry the replacement part, had to order it in, and then wanted to make me pay another call-out fee and another hour's labour plus the cost of the part and shipping of the part.

My husband rang yesterday about fixing my washer. The guy hung up initially without explanation. Thinking call dropped out my husband called back, the guy said “are you still on speaker, I hate speaker so I hung up” then went on a rant how he hates people calling him on speaker. When he eventually stopped his rates were 50% higher than anyone else we called. If he is that rude and arrogant on the phone do not have him in your house. I see other reviews similar to mine. DO NOT USE HIM clearly he does not want the business.

I was surprised in hind sight to read the reviews of this place after I placed an urgent repair request. I did immediately notice the operator was quite curt, and to the point. I didn't see it as rude, just sounded like he was very busy. He was to the point, grabbed the info he needed and scheduled the job. The tech didn't arrive at the time that he was quoted, however it was Christmas day public holiday, so I was expecting some delays. It was a requirement of me to proactively follow up the job to see when the tech was arriving, which was a little annoying, however, despite being obviously very busy, the tech did arrive at my house at 7:30pm, which I was very grateful for. I had damaged my fridge during moving, and needed urgent repairs to ensure I didn't lose all my food. Jose, the tech, was very polite, efficient, and despite some considerable damage to my fridge, he was able to open up the PCB unit and re-attach the cables using equipment that he had. I was quoted a fixed price, and this was charged, so all in all, I am happy with my overall experience. It's very difficult in the ad-hoc service scheduling business to provide accurate arrival times, which is why most industries quote a 5 hour window. My only advice for these guys would be to under-promise and over-deliver. Quote larger windows or arrival, as you can't predict distances between jobs that pop up. thank you for your service!

Called this company to query why they are called "Same day appliance repairs" when it took them a week to complete the job...
Charging $198 call out fee is absolutely ridiculous then charging again to fix the job.
Told me it was a specialised part from Europe, when it was a thermostat for a cheap oven.

The man on the phone (presumably the same guy who has abused everyone else) was incomprehensibly rude and arrogant, and mentioned several times that anyone presuming they could complete repairs on the same day was a complete idiot.

The conversation got quite heated after constant swearing at me and got to the point where he said if i had a problem, to meet him at 963 Stanley street, East Brisbane after work at 7pm.
Googled the address and it was the Chinese Kung Fu Academy in East Brisbane.

This company is an absolute joke.

Nobody turned up after waiting for 4 hours... called to be told by a very rude and aggressive man, they had very important thing to do and they would be late and to get over it!!!!!! Thank goodness we cancelled ..... after reading the reviews here we dodged a bullet!!!! Got someone else..... half the price and turned up in an hour

The only diagnostic tools he bought into the house was his credit card machine. He spent 7 mins pushing buttons on the dishwasher then told me it needs a new computer board. Charged $198 for that then I was called 2 days later they wanted $294 for that I said I'm going to buy a new machine he just hung up.

#1 I could not believe how rude the guy who answered the phone was!
#2 $198 for a call out fee??!! Ludicrous!! I was desperate as my fridge was dead so i paid it and the repair guy said it was a faulty timer. He replaced the timer and charged me an extra $70 for it.
2 weeks later my fridge dies again!!! I had another repair guy come out to look at it from a different company and he replaced the timer which the last repair guy from same day appliance repairs put in and told me it was a 1998 model!!! So i paid $70 for an ancient piece of crap that broke anyway!
This repairman changed my timer, defroster and alternater as well as fixes my fridge doors to ensure they sealed properly and the whole visit including parys only cost me $80.
This goes to show that Same Day Appliance Repairs don't know things and they charge a fortune to do a half job!!! Furious at them!

Rang Mon 20/2/17 wanting my Asko front loader washing machine repaired. Technician was out the same morning (within 2 hours) and fixed the problem immediately. I've used this company about 2 years ago for another washing machine repair at my daughters house - service technician was great there also, was prompt, efficient and courteous. I read the reviews on here before booking this time, but had had such a great experience the first time it was hard to think there could be such a change in the company's performance. Yes the gentleman operating the call service was 'to the point' but he was obviously busy with other incoming calls. He asked the necessary and relevant questions which I answered. No problems with using this company again or recommending their services.

I was in desperate need of a weekend dishwasher repair and gave these guys a call. $220 to come out seemed a bit expensive but I was told that I would not have any further labour charges and would only pay for parts.
The technician diagnosed that I needed a new circuit board and that he would return the next day around 10am with one. He told me I wouldn’t need to pay anything except for the part so maybe the $220 I just paid him wasn’t so bad.
At 12 the next day I called the technician to see where he was (I couldn’t find where I’d written the head office number) he’d call his boss and see what was happening. At 4pm the boss calls me and its $480 for the part. I told him Id think about it.
That part cost me $280 through the manufacturer and was delivered within 48 hours.
Thinking I’d maybe misheard and wanting to get to the bottom of this I called the company again, confirmed the price, a touch over $480 and Was told the cost included part, delivery and labour, and that the second visit was not covered in the initial $220.
Had I continued with this company my dishwasher repair would have cost over $700.
The one star is for the technician, who was a nice fellow and knew what he was doing.

Same I wish I read this first the guy who answered the phone is the rudest I’ve ever heard over the phone,he was racist swearing at me and I’m filling racist discrimination thru Fair Work Australia.I have never been treated like this in my entire life!!!!!

Contacted Same Day Appliance Repairs at 1:15pm. Serviceman Dan arrived at 2:03pm. Dan was very professional, articulate and took the time to explain the problem. Will use again. Absolute Professionals.

Owner is busy, but seems to think that allows him to be rude, interruptive, abrupt and more important than his customers.
I asked him to stop interrupting me on the phone after a number of contacts where each time I couldn't finish my sentence. He hung up on me rather than apologise, obviously after he got my
money.
I she never felt the need to review a service but am shocked and appalled by these guys.
Handy man who came to the house was lovely though, and prompt.

I phoned to request a repair on my oven the Man who answered the phone told me to hang on the phone he would be with me in a minute. Didn't introduce himself when he came on just asked what suburb I told him and he said what do you want I said my oven wasn't working he said he could have someone come between 11 and 12. I said can I please tell you what sort of oven it is. He kept cutting me off and I had to tell him it was free standing gas cooktop and electric oven. Then he said well it's not just an oven is it. Told me it would be 198 for call out and all labour. I told him the brand of stove and asked if he would have the part with him as I thought it was the timer switch (which it was). He was so rude saying they won't have all parts with them. I booked the callout and waited and waited it was 2pm so reluctantly called to see what was happening he got quite angry that I even asked. Cut me off said he was. Very busy and to hold on.
Came back on phone and rudely said he will

The technician arrived and sure enough it was the timer switch but he didn't carry any parts. He messaged through the part he needed, so I rang to ask if it was in stock. He said nobody stocks that part on the Gold Coast and would be ordered from Melbourne I asked how much he said would call me in an hour.
He called and has miraculously found a part said they could fit in half an hour I asked him how much
He said 186. He was so rude to me when I questioned the price. ( I had already called the stove company and found out the cost of the part was 32.50 ). I told him I was not prepared to pay that money after paying 198 earlier he said ok. Good luck with that and hung up on me. Such a rude rude person should not be in business.

Job was booked for before 10.30 so arranged to take a few hours off work. Was told the service person would have spare parts with them. Job then got pushed back to 12.30 - 1.30. At 1.45 I rang and was told by someone who was quite abrupt that sometimes they got caught up on jobs and it was beyond their control. Someone would be there between 2.30 and 3.30. When someone finally turned up they spent an hour reading a brochure to try and work out what was wrong with the machine. Concluded it was a faulty computer board and didn’t have the part. They left me with a leaking hose clamp which I was told “maybe my husband could tighten”. They left at 4 - a whole day off work, a $198 bill for a machine that wasn’t fixed and a leaking hose that wasn’t leaking before hand. The next day they ring to say it will be another $268 for the part to be installed and got abusive when I provided negative feedback about the whole experience. I ended up buying a new washing machine.

I called and two hours later someone was at my house. Another tradesman was required so the lovely polite Jordesh left whilst I organised. Once I knew a time, the team at Same Day Appliances organised to be there to finish the job. I could not recommend them highly enough. It is very rare that tradespeople are so customer focussed. I will definitely use them again for any appliance.
