I uploaded all certified docs for 2+ weeks. And I tried to send an email to their customer service email for a week ago. NO RESPONSE. the live chat is rubbish.

I have been with SelfWealth for about a year, never get a free trades, it was great in brokerage fee, when Buying or Selling shares, the confirmations email of BUY/SELL should include the brokerage fee in there, instead of sending two emails, one is the brokerage fee, and one is confirmation of that BUY/SELL, it creates a lot of emails, also it will be good if SelfWealth can provide EOFY statement for tax purpose, same as Sharesight, I have to pay fee, and it created a lot of confusions, please examine. Thanks.

Lodged my application on day 1. My family member lodged their’s almost 24hrs later. In less than 2 business days his account was set up. More than 5 business days later I’m still waiting for an account. Emailed to ask what was happening - no response. Expecting someone in marketing will eventually see this and respond with “sorry - covid”, not really a decent answer given my family member got theirs so quickly despite lodging an application later than me.
Poor form. There are other platforms offering the same price for trades. I won’t waste any more time on this poor-form company that offers no real way for you to contact them, and doesn’t even respond.

I will not be recommending this platform to anyone else from here on.. Sure they have cheap brokerage, however what's the point of that if you can't even log in...

I recently switched from one of the other on-line brokers because their percentage-of-trade pricing model "punishes" trades above a relatively low value. The one flat fee pricing structure offered by SelfWealth appealed to me and the application process was surprisingly easy - even for non-individuals - and verification was all completed electronically. I was definitely impressed. I have not yet fully embraced the tracking of other member's portfolios for a number of reasons, but consider the concept to be innovative.

I started trading in Oct 2019 and a quick Google search confirmed that they were the cheapest then, I think they still are, I find the website easy to use, I've bought and sold quite a few times already and still have had no need to talk to a human or fill out anything in writing so that's a big tick in my book. No real negatives to speak of. I use a feature they have to automatically forward my trades to sharesight so the tax side of things should be a breeze

Joining took 6 weeks as emails were not answered. Their excuse was Covid 19!,, they just wont answer any emails for help. Also have requested if there is a tour of the site to assist you in understanding how it works. No Answer!!! I think they only have 2 staff and they also refuse to phone you or allow you to phone them. Put the trade price up by $2 and give some service

I only started 18 months ago and I have enjoyed being a SW Member.
The website is easy, reply to a question came within 5 minutes of starting the chat.
I enjoy the information that I can get on my shares/future shares.
Sofar I have only bought but I have faith that my future sales and transfers from SW account to my bank account will be without any hassle.
For $9.50 per transaction you can’t go wrong.
One advice, always have enough money in your trading account so that instant purchases can be made.

Dear All
Don't fall in to SelfWealth Trap just for few dollars cheaper commission
This company even don't have a support telephone number, No Live chat to chat with humans, they even haven't published their address in the web site
This broker is very arrogant, very late to reply to emails and they put conditions even to access your own account
So this is a typical arrogant and low class company, I had a trading account with them and I truly regret about doing business with them when there are so many recognized, good customer support with contact numbers and polite service available from other brokers etc
This Broker is cheap and low quality as their slightly lower price is, just think about couple of dollars difference is nothing when compare how much money you put in to trading

I am new to online trading, and have chosen SelfWealth for my online trading intially, was under impression that the cost for trading is more than $9.50 for trade, but clarification from SelfWealth makes things clear, yes its $9.50, definitely the cheapest online trading, only thing that could be improved is their mobile app needs to be upgraded to navigate several watchlists easily and quickly, other than that very easy to use app.

Second cheapest broker in Australia at $9.50 flat per trade. You can not phone them for any queries. Their response times to email queries are slow. They do not allow credit or offer any IPO's. It will be interesting to see how their new ETF SELF.asx performs. Personally I think they hold too many stocks. At this stage I will stick with GEAR.asx

I have transferred all my brokerage to self wealth and now have three accounts, personal, super fund, and business accounts . I am saving heaps in brokerage and find the website and app easy to use . I have recommended Self wealth to friends who are also happy and I get five free trades which is great.

Having been waiting over a week for a simple account setup and now finally been advised that it will likely be another week. Emails for support or the leave a message function on their site only results in being ignored. When I finally got onto someone with the online chat they eventually advised that a copy of ID was required, even though this had never been mentioned anytime prior and everything continually indicated the account would be ready in 1 business day when the ANZ account was active.
Now they are making more excuses about technical issues. If they can't even provide appropriate communication and service to get you to become a customer, how much less service would be provided once you become a customer!

They forced me to supply 2 certified documents because they couldn't verify my drivers licence and now it has been 8 days and they still haven't set up my account yet despite them claiming for it to take only 5 days

I am increasingly regretting with enormous pain giving my business to Selfwealth, since 2017 July. I don't have high expectations from a cheap platform but I do have a right to at least expect the most basic functionality!
Reasons Follow:-
1_ Original application in 2017 ignored and or lost by them.
2_It took Selfwealth several years to accept customer feedback that listing broker commission charges on a separate invoice (and not on the contract of sale) was a bad idea, that no other broker in Australia entertained.
3_Chronic problems with Selfwealth's secondary login authentication process are ignored and/or rectified only after several business days post being reported. A minimum of two business days waiting is totally unacceptable to be locked out of one's trading account !
4_I do not understand why the secondary authentication process cannot be the more reliable system where a short-lived verification code is texted to your registered mobile number.
5_The responses from the so called "customer support" center are often simply generic responses that do not even half address the specific issues raised in the customer inquiry.
6_In deciding whether or not to award your business to Selfwealth ask yourself: Is the "saving" worth the needless stress, time wasted and most importantly the trading opportunities you will lose ?

My account was not approved from past 1 week and online chat did not bother to reply.

Website says 1 business day to create ANZ account and it is showing me the same message from past 1 week, I don't have any transfers just a plain application. Tried to chat with Customer Support one of the guy transferred me to another guy to chat with that guy did not even bother to reply after half hour of waiting. Customer service is really bad.

And also Premium Trial starts as soon as the account is opened regardless of the application status is in progress.

It's been over two weeks since I signed up. No response on email follow ups. I have shopped around for other brokers and it took within the week to fully get up and running, so there is really no excuse.

Edit below:
Finally got signed up. It took me having to go to their live chat and follow it up twice on different days.
Orders get filled quickly which is good
I intraday trade and the site isn't like proper trading brokers that have efficient platforms. eg. You cant turn off trade confirmations. You can't put a stop loss and an exit all on the same time when you buy a stock, instead you have to click on sell put in the company name again and put a stop loss. It is inefficient for day trading. No stars lost here as my expectation was this platform was more for the buy and hold long term people.
Changed to a 3 star from 1 star.

I restarted my share trading last year and a friend recommended SelfWealth, mainly for the trading cost. Since I have been using SW, I found value tools and simple trading methods that suit me as a part time trader. Highly recommended.

Cheapest broker for Australian Stock with chess sponser.
Flat fee about $9.50 for all stocks is amazing.
Would be better when they can add
1. Poli and
2. International stock market ( NYSE)
