In using Smilebox since March 2011, a paid premium subscriber, I loved the program. I had no issues over 8 years until July 2019, they changed the software, my password didn't work. I had 2 accounts, old program AND new program (for businesses)! I got that problem solved, I thought, but unable to send, kept ending at update membership page. Finally able to email but couldn't access contacts. Frustrating!! After months I finally gave up! Cancelled my membership, told I'll have access until March. I can't use it so what good is that! Will see come March!

This company is false advertising. It has two boxes you can pick from $5.00 and $9.99. It is unclear that once you select the $5.00 box your card will be charge $59.99 yearly. I thought my card will be charge $5.00. The company don't have phone number you can called, you can only email them.

I signed up to create a graduation slideshow and nothing worked properly. Their site is misleading, they advertise $5.00 a month but then charge you for the year. I emailed telling them the site didn't offer what I wanted it to offer and I received notice that they canceled my account and nothing else. After looking more closely I discovered they will not refund my account and that's their policy. They didn't email instead I received notice from Pay Pal. If I loved the video, I would be willing to stick with it but the video didn't work as it's supposed to. Terrible company, awful customer service...they make money by misleading the customer!

Unless you want to pay $59.99 for a year, don't sign up! I thought I was paying $5 to try it out for a month, but when it charged me, it was $59.99!!! And worse than that, they haven't refunded my money when I have asked them 4x!!! Bad business practices for sure. I will be telling everyone I know, NOT to use smilebox for online cards.

The product itself is wonderful but I paid for a month and they could not find my account. I sent the copy of the money paid for with a credit card. I called and they wanted the same information send over and over ...nothing was resolved. I worked on a huge 70th birthday celebration slideshow and was not able to fully use Smilebox to finish the project. It was a waste of my time talking to them ...they take the money and don't deliver. It use to be good not it's a rip off. Poor poor support.

First time user, Its a cool video that I made, but it locked up on me, at one time , had hard time trying to find it, when I went to site to log in ,I would end up with a blank page , and it wouldn't recognize me or my password, thought I lost my project, After long time looking for it, I found it saved in my Share program, So I was able to finish it, but tried to E-Mail to share , that didn't work to well, cut off heads of pictures & some of the Music, but it was easy to burn to a DVD, then my Video turned out beautiful

Signed up for a subscription thinking that I would be charged monthly (and would be able to cancel in a few months). Gave them my credit card info and they charged me over $80 (annual premium subscription price) without making it clear that I had to pay for the entire year of usage up front. Also, the program is definitely not worth the money. There are better programs for creating cards/slideshows out there.

I signed up needing to make a memorial slideshow for my Nans funeral, I went with the pro monthly of $19USD as I would only need to use it one time. After I finished my slideshow, that has very little features mind you, I cancelled my membership and was put back on basic/free membership immediately, even though I just paid for a months membership that day. EVERY subscription i have ever had and cancelled lets you use out the month you paid for. Sad thing is is that I need to modify my slideshow and have to re subscribe to get back on the pro features. Disgusting way to treat its customers. AVOID SMILEBOX at all costs, so many to chose from....

They charged me for a whole year subscription I made a mistake by pressing the wrong button. I used the website for one month and one week only. I could use the features because they would not open. The guests that send the invites to could also not open the invites or rsvp. The was no broader selection And editing was difficult without having to send the whole invitation over again to guest who again could not open the invite. I thought I was being fair by asking the company to charge me on a monthly basis and charge me two months of a membership but they refused saying that a sign for an annual contract. Now !!! Think about it if you are customer and you are not satisfied with your product, it failed to do what you needed it to do and being fair ask for a partial refund. Why? Would the company give the partial refund. You want a satisfied customer that can possibly would like to come back for services in the future.this company is a more hungry company!!! Where are they locate? I don't think it originates in the United States and it's a scam. Do not subscribe !! Unless u want to loose your money. I'm a consumer I will never again.

I signed up so I could create a sideshow for my grandma's memorial service. The free option is useless and riddled with ads so I signed up for ONE month of premium so I could access the features I needed. Unsubscribing is nearly impossible and even after contacting customer service, I was charged $47.88. The software isn't user friendly and deleted my progress multiple times. Altogether, trash.

I got smilebox.com in May 2019 paid 47.88 never used it. June 2019 canceled it. Then May 2020 my credit card was charged 50.94. I never used this never gave them permission to bill my card. And the bank did not care. That is what happens to the elderly. You can delete smilebox.com and they will still bill your credit card. You can call them all you want, they no longer offer phone support. The only thing i know to do now is cancel my credit card.

This was the worst experience I have had. I made the invitation and loved it! I bought the $5/month membership and was never even able to share with facebook or anything else. I spent over $60 to use this app and count even share my creation. So now I am out $60 and NO ONE is returning my emails and concerns to even trouble shoot and try to share it. It simply doesn't work and no one seems to care to help me. Absolutely ridiculous how hard it has been to try and just have someone help me. I do not suggest at all!!!!!

I used to love the older version of Smilebox which I used for years. With this new online version, my past creations have all disappeared, it is just NOT user friendly at all and I've just wasted 2 hours trying to upload and organize photos. Plus their customer service used to be efficient but now I get no reply at all, when my suscription has just been automatically renewed... Not a happy camper...

LOADS SUPER SLOWLY PAYMENT ARE ON ANNUAL BASIS AND THEY MAKE IT LOOK LIKE YOU WILL ONLY PAY FOR A MONTH. There is even an error sharing the video on Facebook. I mean really!!! UNABLE TO DOWNLOAD SLIDESHOW FOR PRO SUBSCRIPTION ONLY FOR PREMIUM The video sent to the recipient also loads slowly which makes this all the more unpleasant. You won't get anything worthwhile out of this product. It is a complete waste of time, effort, and money. Someone needs to shut them down. There UI is ok but it seems to me even the most basic objective of their paid services is not met.

This company is absolutely horrible. They need to be shut down and investigated. Not only do they false advertise but then their programs don't even work after countless hours of work you wont even end up with ta slideshow.

I have had a smilebox account for a long time and used it without much difficulty and made lots of grandmas happy. This year I could log in one time after several efforts. I uploaded one hundred photos, but when I tried to start putting the slideshow together I had a "connectivity problem". I got desperate and thought ok, I will sign up for the online account and simply move everything from one account to the other (same email address and log in?) NO. After attempts I found a blog that said they are two separate companies, no transferability whatsoever. Why? I also attempted to sign up for one month, but was just billed for an annual subscription. Why? This company has been lovely for a long time. Why is the process now set up to be so complicated and hard to sort out?

I have never signed up for or used this program. PayPal notified me of a $47.88 charge from Smilebox. They can no longer be contacted by phone and and have not responded to the email complaint I sent 4 days ago. Something fishy is going on with this company. I see from the reviews that someone else has had this problem.

Wife purchased premium account for purpose of creating graduation presentation. After loading the photos and music plays very inconsistently. Cover takes 1:45 minutes. You cannot set times for individual slides. At the first paid tier you cannot display full screen or download. Viewing the code of a shared linked it had profile details including creator's gender/dob not very private. Turned out to be a massive waste of tine for our purpose. Back to powerpoint.

So I've just signed up and wanted to pay a $5 monthly fee. I could see that it was deliberately confusing and obviously trying to get you to check the box for the annual fee so I looked at it closely to make sure only $5 would be taken out of my account. I've just checked and $9.99 has been taken. Not a great start and certainly doesn't inspire confidence that this is a company I can trust.

WARNING!!! Once you give your credit card number to this company they will continue to charge you even after you cancel before any trial periods are over. This is what happen to me and when you call customer service the voicemail immediately says no refunds. When you are dealing with a company like that you know its a fraud. Try calling their customer service line and see for yourself 1-888-966-9737
