We are very happy with our monthly meat box from Swillington - an interesting range, always something different to try, great quality (and taste!) and to know that the meat is sustainably and ethically produced really makes a difference. I no longer buy meat anywhere else!

I visited Swillington Organic shop and bought some beef shin to make a stew and it was amazing! Best beef I’ve ever tasted! Lovely people in the shop and delicious organic meat!! I am now a regular customer! I’ve found the hidden gem for the most wonderful meat! Thank you - Leigh from York

They always provide excellent quality meat with good flavour and texture; totally different to supermarket produce. there prices are reasonable compared to other producers of similar quality and it gives me the satisfaction of knowing that the animal I am eating has also had a good quality of life.

With all the horrible stories of how the meat in shops and supermarkets can be contaminated and also because I feel very strongly that pesticides etc should be kept to the minimum so that they do not contaminate our food, I am very happy to get my organic meat from Swillington. I have been to the farm and am reassured that the animals are well kept and cared for. I can thoroughly recommend Swillington

Had the most amazing lamb neck fillet delivered for a special occasion. The service throughout was really impressive and personal, the butcher even took the time to ask exactly what we were using it for and the result was a stunning meal :-)

1st order of organic minced chicken was 11 out 10! 2nd order 3 out 10 at best, i had to throw out, it tasted off/ bitter. So sad, i've had to go back to tesco organic when I wanted to support smaller farms like this espescially as non-use of antibiotics is garranteed at this farm.

I bought from Swillington because I use a lot of chorizo and recently have begun to buy exclusively organic meat (for the animal welfare standards). I was a very surprised when the chorizo arrived frozen, and with a use-by date in the next few days. Chorizo is a cured product and doesn't need freezing and should last for months. I also bought some merguez sausages, which also arrived frozen (as anticipated) and were absolutely fine, albeit mild for my taste!

I have been ordering from this farm for the past 3 years. I usually order the biggest meat box and freeze everything, which is very convenient, reduces the need for frequent delivery (from an environmental point of view), and saves a lot of shopping time for me. The meat is of the best quality I have ever tried in the UK, and can definitely taste the difference between supermarket and Swillington farm meat. The most noticeable difference is actually in the taste of the fat around the meat - I suppose this is because of it being grass-fed, but it actually tastes absolutely delicious, which is unusual. I love the fact that I sometimes also receive game meat such as pheasant or rabbit, which are of exceptional quality that cannot be found anywhere else. The quality that you get, plus the environmental benefits, are totally worth the price and I'd definitely recommend this farm to everyone.

I have just used Swillington's for the first time I found it very easy to order online , when the organic chicken arrived it was very well packed and the chicken breasts are lovely .

OK, but won't re order Whilst I found the meat to be of good quality, I don't think I would re-order - I did email at the time to express my concerns - with the hope the company might take something on board, but the response I received suggested they wouldn't..... The pork joint I received was substantially smaller than I ordered 2.6 kg rather than 3kg - this is quite significant and when coking for a party to not receive 15% of your order is a problem - I do accept that this may occur from time to time with on line orders but it needs to be avoided where possible. The sausages had been previously frozen - I wasn't expecting this - when ordering a large box of meat I am ordering some to freeze so it should have been made clearer - there is an offer on to buy previously frozen items so if i'd have wanted them I would have ordered them at a cheaper price I also booked an am delivery (at twice the price of standard delivery) - and was told previously this would be delivered between 6am and 12 - so I was up at 5:30 also expecting a 1 hour time slot - the time slot came around 10:30 - stating my order would be delivered in the afternoon - it was delivered just before 12 so did just make the am delivery but it was pretty frustrating receiving incorrect info late on in the morning I also thought the packing wasn't great - all the ice packs were on the bottom of the box so the meat on the top was no where near anything cold and subsequently had started to warm up so was a bit worrying as it was a big order and it was very hot weather - it didn't make sense to not put the ice packs around the whole of the meat? The order confirmation - after packing was not very clear - you can't see price per kilo, which I found frustrating. Overall the little things add up to make me not use the company again

The Christmas Turkey was excellent but it never fails to be, so very very tasty. The pork lovely and tasty and the vegetables so beautifully fresh. We loved every bit of it, made our Christmas as always.

I don't normally write reviews but the produce we received from Swillington Farm was exceptional. We have tried numerous suppliers across the country whereby animal welfare is put first, but the meat we had at the weekend was some of the very best we have eaten. We tried the shin of beef, shoulder of pork, and bacon. Everything was well packed, with good use by dates.
