Using this Telestial ekit phone for two months now, no issues whatsoever. Getting starting was shaky as when I turned it on for the US number, all I got was emergency service; but we were driving thru Georgia (U.S.) mountains. Lesson: do not make a call when it says Emergency Service as it does connect to 911 operator. US number did come in a text as described, and I was able to add service time from a remote Croatian National Park. When I had questions, there was always someone there to answer them as described. Had the unit shipped to a U.S. timeshare we were staying at enroute overseas, arrived sooner than scheduled. Keeping the online journal during the two months in Europe has been a blast!!

Last year I went to Europe with a Telestial international sim card and had no problem making and receiving phone calls and text messages in the various countries I visited. The rates were good as is the quality of connection. This summer I am traveling to Scandinavia and I am again taking my iphone with an international sim card from Telestial.

I received my SIM card in the mail today and I am looking forward to using it in Africa later this month and next! I also spoke with a customer service agent today in order to u derstand how to use the journal tracking features and she was dry friendly and helpful. I can't wait to see how the service actually works! So far so good!!!

I recently ordered a Telestial SIM card for Portugal and I am quite satisfied with the experience. My order came quickly and contained complete, detailed instructions for use. I chose this card because, unlike some competitors who offer a global and a UK number, Telestial offered both an international and a US phone number (which could be set up before departure), allowing calls from the US to be sent for free.

I purchased a Tanzanian pre-paid SIM card from them. I called Customer Service to get additional information and clarify a few finer points of the plan for me. They were extraordinary in the explaining the service and giving me tips on the cheapest ways to call and get my US number. I was able to purchase additional minutes all in one order. I forgot to tell them I had an IPhone that requires a different SIM. I called them and they changed my order immediately! Perfect! I have already recommended them to a friend traveling with me.

I would never use this company again be warned had trouble sending and receiving texts while overseas, call backs failed most of the time and if you do not use the card within a certain amount of time they deactivate your card and tell you that you have to purchase another card or recharge the card at least $30 in order for them to transfer the balance over. this company fails if you ask me check out the BBB.org who rated them a D for all the complaints they have received about them.

Have trialled the card in Australia before journeying to Zambia in Africa, so far all works well

Purchased the JT Smart 2 phone and International SIM card package in April 2014 in preparation for a trip to Europe in June 2014. Phone service worked OK but I had a some problems with data while over there. Chalked it up to local network/reception problems. Put the phone away until our next trip.
Earlier this year I loaded up data on the SIM card before a Caribbean cruise ($140). Luckily I checked before my trip. Could not get data to work. Despite spending a lot of time on the phone with Customer Service, who were sincerely trying to help, the end result was no solution. The conclusion seems to be that the phone can't process data for some reason. On top of that, the phone no longer seems to connect properly for calls - there is an initial connection which is dropped almost immediately. It can't even send simple SMS (non-data) text messages. Basically despite very few hours of use, the phone is just a useless brick now. They did refund the money I had spent on the data package, so I will give them credit that. But I suggest you don't waste your money on their cheap phones. Buy a brand name unlocked phone elsewhere and only buy the SIM card from Telestial.

I received my new TELESTIAL phone. I was concerned about getting it setup correctly. However I found the instructions very clear and was able to assemble the phone quickly. I used the TELESTIAL Customer Service to check all was OK and my phone was ready to charge. I would recommend this phone to anyone.

This is a very useful sim being perfect for using in serval countries in one day. It was very convent and easy to set up without any hassle

Last week I purchased the $49 phone and passport plus package and it was delivered very quickly. I have made several phone calls to Telestial with questions and staff have all been courteous and patient. Some instructions in the manual could be made clearer. I made a test call from US to Mexico and all went well.

VERY pleased we made this decision to buy a phone with minutes before my son left for his study abroad in Ireland. We had hoped he could use wifi app on his US phone but that has not worked well, so we are super happy with the phone. We bought an international calling card and call him on his UK number so we are hopefully doing it the best way for the dollar spent. I feel so much better knowing I can get in touch if I need him. I just ordered my 4C phone from Telestial and they shipped it very quickly and the customer service was very helpful when I called with questions. Can't wait til I leave to go out of town and try it out. I've been looking for a way to reduce my call price while out of country and I think I have found it.

I have made 2 online purchases from Telestial - I purchased a SIM card and I also purchased the JT Smartphone. Both times, their service was prompt and efficient. My orders shipped fast! I needed to contact their Customer Service department regarding my phone order. My call was quickly answered, the fellow at Customer Service was polite and knowledgeable, and he was able to immediately email me the documents I needed to have my shipment clear customs for delivery to my home. I have recommended Telestial to my friends and family.

I have to say I LOVE my JT Smartphone. I love the fact that I carry 3 numbers with me at all times so no matter where I am, it is easy for my family and friends to find me. I love the Travel Journal feature. I love how easy I find the phone to use.

We went to Jakarta, Indonesia on March 31, 2014. And We had this Ekit 4C dual sim and Passport SIM card. It worked well there, accept the voice was to low, I wish I know how to make it louder and put on speaker phone. It seems the phone works better in Jakarta than in US.
When I tried to make the phone call from US, I barely heard the other end said.

I used Telestial about 4 years ago for a Europe trip and despite a bit of a surprise at incoming costs (low as they were) I thought it was good. Now, there's a lot of different options around, local sims upon arrival are still competitive but riddled with setup issues and limitations on support unless you're in an English speaking country. You need to look into the details on all of these, but Telestial has become even cheaper, support was fine, great reception most areas. Make sure you're more than 1 day prepared and know the details of what you're getting, because compared to the other options I've tried recently, Telestial has no hidden crap whatsoever and is far less of a headache.

Super quick delivery, super easy customer service and super easy activation (once I got my AT&T iPhone 4 properly unlocked). Online account access is well designed and very easy to navigate. I think I've found the only international SIM card I will ever need.

Recently took a trip to South America (chile) to visit some family and needed some way of keeping in touch with my wife. So I bought the economy plus pack to be able to call back home. Best investment I ever made. What really sold me was the 24/7 customer service. I can't even get that with my cable provider! The service worked great down there, the rates were much better than what my carrier was offering, AND I was able to give my wife a US based phone number so she didnt have to pay any international charges to call me.

Ordered the Ekit 4C dual dim with Passport Plus SIM Card for an upcoming trip to Canada. Price was very reasonable and received the phone within 5 days. Purchased a basic phone to keep in touch while out of the U.S. Nothing fancy, but a very functional phone with a nice variety of features without being a "smart" phone. Thus far all has been very, very good. Won't be able to try the phone until next month. If it works as promised I will be a very happy customers.
